Lyme Disease Wikipedia Editing War

http://www.canlyme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3302

… ILADS guidelines were recently edited OUT of the Lyme Disease page on Wikipedia, as were references to the treatment controversy. Those naughty "boyz with bugz" seem to have a full-time employee working at editing Wikipedia -- giving everyone the Forbes-type propaganda line !!! Wow-- I didn't think they were all that organized or dedicated.... maybe there IS a conspiracy..

I recently tested it by adding my own additional information to the history section of the main Lyme page --- and lately I have been getting a lot of "unknown caller" phone calls-- and the information is quickly deleted off the page.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyme_disease

Anyway, here is the addition to the Lyme Disease history section at Wikiedia:

A history of Lyme Disease and its discovery in Old Lyme would be incomplete without noting Borrelia's decades long association with biowarfare researchers in their quest to discover a cost efficient method of disabling enemy populations. The Borrelia genus is reported by British writer Elena Cook to have been used by World War II Japanese germ warfare scientists in the infamous Unit 731, which conducted live experiments on prisoners in Manchuria. After the war, Japanese biowarriors were shielded by the United States from war crimes trials in exchange for their research findings. According to former Justice official John Loftus, Nazi biowarfare scientists, including Erich Traub, were hired under the top secret U.S. government Operation Paperclip and they experimented with ticks and a variety of other germs on Plum Island, which lies a few miles directly opposite Old Lyme, Connecticut. Plum Island lab directors have stated to Michael Carroll, author of the book Lab 257: The Disturbing Story of the Government’s Secret Germ Laboratory, that they kept colonies of the hard tick Amblyomma americanum, a known carrier of Borrelia Lonestari, on Plum Island. Carroll describes eyewitnesses as saying that infected animals on Plum Island were kept in open pens.

In the 1980s, entomologist Dr. Richard Endris, is reported to have nurtured over 200,000 soft and hard ticks of varying species in tick nurseries on Plum Island, personally collected from locations as far away as Cameroon, Africa. In a footnote in the book “Lab 257,” Carroll notes that Endris, while under contract with the US Army lab at Fort Detrick had also conducted experiments in 1987 on Plum Island, USING SAND FLIES AS VECTORS OF THE FATAL ILLNESS LEISHMANIASIS. The insect vector work is alleged by Carroll to have been done in secrecy, with few safety precautions.

In 2005, the Associated Press reported that the National Institute of Health had listed Lyme as one of the potential bioterrorism agents studied in BSL-4, or top security labs. NIH subsequently deleted Lyme disease from its bioweapon list as a typographical error.

The historical milieu of those involved in Lyme diagnostic testing and treatment policy has included numerous military and bioweapons experts. Former NIH Lyme Disease Program Officer Edward McSweegan is a biowarfare expert and author of the PubMed paper “Anthrax and the Etiology of English Sweating Sickness.” Succeeding Dr. McSweegan as Lyme Program Officer at the NIH was Dr. Phillip Baker, reportedly an anthrax expert who, according to the military publication “Stars and Stripes,” supervised grants for research on a host of biowarfare germs for the Infectious Diseases Institute. Coincidentally, many scientists setting Lyme treatment and diagnostic testing policy in the United States have a history in the bioweapons field, and some have received lucrative bioweapons grants. FOR EXAMPLE, IN 2003, LYME RESEARCHER DR. KLEMPNER WAS REPORTEDLY APPOINTED HEAD OF THE NEW $1.6 BILLION BIOWARFARE TOP-SECURITY FACILITY AT BOSTON UNIVERSITY. In 2004, Lyme researcher Dr. Benach was reportedly chosen as a recipient for a $3 million biowarfare research grant, and in 2005, Lyme researcher Dr. Barbour was reportedly placed in charge of a multi-million dollar new biowarfare complex based at UC Irvine.

The presence of so many Lyme experts in the bioweapons community has led ILADS community members to question whether there is a conflict of interest for the development of effective treatments and accurate diagnostic testing for the tens of thousands of individuals in the United States now suffering from chronic Lyme infection.

Please sign up to get an account at Wikipedia so that you can edit the Lyme Controversy Page and make sure that propaganda is not put forth on that site. Several users (including myself) are trying to KEEP the following paragraph in the Wikipedia Lyme disease history section page-- or even in the Controversy part--- and it is being EDITED OUT on a minute by minute basis-- by a huge team of swarming PR hornets!!! They are on a media propaganda blitz---blitzing everything from the Washington Post to the Hartford Courant -- to the American Academy of Neurology -- they are EVIL EIS monsters who don't care a lick about US.... like something out of Brave New World or Fahrenheit 451:

Here's the info they dont want you to know... Why??? To put the paragraph back IN all you need to to is to cut and past what is below and place back in.

Quote:
In recent years a few prominent American Lyme researchers have received funding for the study of organisms known as bioweapons that could be used in bioterrorism attacks. The funding has been granted by various U.S. Government agencies including the National Institute of Health (NIH), and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). For example, in 2003, Lyme researcher Dr. Mark Klempner was appointed the head of a new National Bio-containment Laboratory at Boston University Medical Center called the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory, http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2005Jan21.html Washington Post January 22, 2005.

In 2004, Lyme researcher Jorge benach, Dr. Jorge Benach was chosen as a recipient for a $3 million NIH research grant at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, http://www.nystar.state.ny.us/nl/arc...landA08-04.htm NYStar News Publication of the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research, August 2004. In 2005 Lyme researcher Dr. Alan Barbour of University of California, Irvine was awarded $40 million over four years to establish the http://www.pswrce.uci.edu/ Pacific-Southwest Center for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases Research, http://www.ucihealth.com/News/Releas...seResearch.htm UCI Medical Centre, June 1, 2005]</ref>

These grants have become a source of controversy. Some argue that these researchers have a conflict of interest in receiving these U.S. Government funds due to the politicization of Lyme disease and their roles in the history of the controversy, others cite that the grants are warranted as the infectious agents that the researchers are for studying for bioterror defense are similar to the genetic makeup and pathogenesis of borrelia, such as Tularemia , Brucellosis and Q Fever.

PS-- Tularemia, Brucellosis and Q Fever are INTRACELLULAR bioweapons -- just like Lyme-- that require long treatment courses on antibiotics-- THIS IS WHAT THEY DO NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW AND THEY ARE TERRIFIED!!
