Lisa,

I just have a question about the fibers ... about them being harmless lint. A few weeks ago I pulled out a wool skirt I had not worn since Christmas -- when I was in full-blown mode. I was shocked to see tons of long, clear threads/fibers sticking to the fabric. (It's been a long time since I've had these come out of my body). When I touched the skirt, my fingers were stung and I developed new slit-shaped cuts that hurt like hell. (The brand new skirt was promtply tossed.)

It had been several months since I had worn the skirt. And this isn't the first time something like this happened. I so want to believe that these things die after they leave our bodies but I'm afraid this hasn't been my experience. Has anyone else experienced this as well? Thanks!

P.S. About point #8/doctors. Lisa, several of us have found very caring doctors who are treating ALL of our symptoms -- I am almost completely symptom-free (knock on wood). Bubba has developed a growing network of doctors across the country who are treating Morgellons. Just to let folks know there is progress within the medical community and we are getting better!

Hi Lisa,

oh, I so know how you feel -- and wish I could take away all of the distress you feel. How's this: please know that you CAN beat this -- I'm almost there and so are many others here (check out Progress Reports link).

As far as contageous, I don't know if it is -- the fibers only seem to sting me! I'm clueless as to why.

I'm afraid I know it was NOT wool fibers -- I've seen these things elsewhere. (And wool fibers don't give me cuts). It just underlies the importance of spraying your environment with something like Eco-Vie (see Bubba's treatment steps) -- which breaks down the fibers and renders them harmless.

But more to the point, how can I help you? How long have you had this? What are your worst symptoms? What have you tried so far? I feel your pain Lisa -- please know that you are not alone in this anymore. We've all been through this terrible monster and we've learned a lot of things that help. We're here for you Lisa. If you feel more comfortable, send my a private message.

Hang in there, Lisa -- we'll get through this together!
