"Cryptosporidium parvum. Cryptosporidium parvum, a single-celled animal, i.e., a protozoa, is an obligate intracellular parasite. It has been given additional species names when isolated from different hosts. It is currently thought that the form infecting humans is the same species that causes disease in young calves. The forms that infect avian hosts and those that infect mice are not thought capable of infecting humans. Cryptosporidium sp. infects many herd animals (cows, goats, sheep among domesticated animals, and deer and elk among wild animals). The infective stage of the organism, the oocyst is 3 um in diameter or about half the size of a red blood cell. The sporocysts are resistant to most chemical disinfectants, but are susceptible to drying and the ultraviolet portion of sunlight. Some strains appear to be adapted to certain hosts but cross-strain infectivity occurs and may or may not be associated with illness. The species or strain infecting the respiratory system is not currently distinguished from the form infecting the intestines. Infectious dose--Less than 10 organisms and, presumably, one organism can initiate an infection. The mechanism of disease is not known; however, the intracellular stages of the parasite can cause severe tissue alteration." (US FDA/CFSAN - Bad Bug Book).

Theory= When the sunlight hits the body, some of them usually die. And while dying, these parasites produce substances which than cause this strange close to sunburn like symptoms in the host. That's why they cause a kind of photo-phobia - it's self defense!

This picture...I have seen this bug under the microscope...with an alligator type head...not sure if the rest of the body is the same, but I remember the head...now if I can only find the pictures among the ones that I have taken...and...I have recently seen a bug while spending countless hours observing everything around me, either flapping its wings, or moving arms, to be the one that spins the nest...and the faces that I see, well, the ones that were weaving or carving the smallest faces in a minute piece of paper...last night...they were so small and very hard to see, but I took pictures and video of it last night, and you can actually see the face changing that it is doing....it looked to have at least 2 bugs doing the carving/weaving...and another 3 were in the picture...you really have to look good to see what is going on, but maybe I captured it in the video....hopefully you can see it tonight, as I will post it....if not, well, I guess you can just label me delusional...what the hell...been there and done that....Kentucky haze (I know....I sound like I have been smokin some of that
"Wacky Tobaccy")...not really. It has been many, many years...since my twenties...I am 46 now...but I still do remember...I just can't remember what I did today...

I also had this reaction. After being in the house for so long, and living on the beach in south Florida, I needed my fix of sun. (I have not been on the actual beach during daylight since april) I guess I kinda forgot that once before I had a similar reaction, although it was milder, more of a crawly sensation, while working in the yard a while back. It was enough to scare me to go inside. I guess I threw caution to the wind and went out to sun myself in the yard (I'll admit it...with baby oil) for maybe 45 min. total. I went inside a few times to wash my skin off, as it seemed the "bugs" were exiting my skin. I was sure this was going to eradicate the damn things. I had truly had enough. Well, a very short time later I looked as if I had a 3rd degree burn on the inside of my elbow. It then progressed down my arm to my wrist with tiny bubbles, much like poison ivy. The itch was incredible! After showering (even the water stung) I was left with a little color and this patch. Peroxide was torture, aloe helped minimally. Since, it has spread behind both knees, down my other arm, pops up in small dry patches here and there. My foot has swollen to the point I thought it would burst. That went away, and has returned less swollen. That comes and goes, as does the intensity of the rash of tiny itchy bumps. The pest seems like a miniscule white sticky worm that can be tweezed. I can actually see it, with magnification coming from the hole. It also seems that my dog and I are both being infested by a mite that burrows into the skin. Now what? Do the doc's have anything? Bathing in hot water seems to make them exit, but there are always more burrowing in within hours. Anyway to seal them out of my skin?

unfortunately, our skin has to breathe but doing the treatment steps and not wiping the residue of selsum blue off or ecovie, or vinegar and salt with a towel helps alot. the blow dryer has been my friend for quite awhile

Just that it lacks all other symptoms of sunburn (heavy itching instat of burning/pain) The symptoms slowly disappear after around 1-2 weeks. I experienced this strange reaction multiple times so it's not just a coincidence.

# Aloe vera helps a litle bit while stuff against normal sunburn just increases the symptoms and causes burning/pain.

Anyone else experienced a similar reaction?
I notice I get really fatigue and sick, with the sun especially with the one in Mexico, I have been in Cancun but I did'nt feel sick I just got one red inflammation on my sole because I was walking with no shoes and the concrete was really hot. But when I went to Monterrey Mexico I felt really sick I had extreme fatigue and fever, it was during the summer and the temperature was really hot. I could not get up of bed. I felt like I needed to stay inside a shade with airconditiong. A few days later alot of parasites came out attatched to white balls. This happed 3 different summer years. I planning to go back again this summer and stay at least 3 weeks on the sun and see what happens. I also notice that my ex-husband was itchy on his back when we were married but since he work outside on the sun all the time his itching went away and left black dots.
