Default How long have YOU had Morgellons?

Greetings to all!! I actually was doin my daily ritual of readin through the posts here & chucklin along at some of the humorous replies and was curious to know.....How long have some of you guys had this bothersome, annoying, uninvited visit of Morgellons? How long did it take for things to become unbearable? Was it like a sudden onset...a gradually worsening thing or what? Feel free to respond! Talk to u guys later!

Bubbles my friend has known about having this for about 4 years, but who knows how long he really had it. For him it came on strongly and all of the sudden for him. He hid it from me and his other close friends until he finely broke down and told us. If I recall right it became increasingly unbearable for him.

PS. Glad you can still find some humor among all this!

Hey Bubbles,

I've had the big "M" for either 1 or 2 years that I know of, but I'm not sure which it is. In March of 05 I had a rash on my legs, thought it must have been scabies, used some topical over the counter stuff and it went away. Then around March or April of 06 I noticed I had a rash in the same place as the year before. Within a few weeks of noticing the rash, the crawling became incessant. After 4-6 weeks of repeated scabies treatment I started searching the net for natural treatments which is how I found out about morgellons...

Morgellons started for me full blown 2001. But i had other symptoms for the previous 10 years and 5 years prior to that the fibers started. it seemed like it happened overnight but looking back I can see how it all slowly lead up to that point

bubbles, you are truly great. i will say i had a number of things made me sick. if they had a negative powerball lottery, i would have the minus 456 million dollar jackpot, lol. i truly believe there is a genetic component to this disease, why not everyone gets it (LUCKY them). i had two roomates (long time ago old ones, ones now do not have my disease)and their parrot of twelve years living downstairs. i think were "carriers" of disease, had all of the symptoms of disease, but no lesions. but i am sure between the three dropping this junk here during six month period were here. one has ms, (morgellons?) the other Parkinson's like symptoms, they both spacey with brain fog, poor eyesight. i know at times morgellons enjoys to masquerade as other stuff. crikey, i have been diagnosed with like seven diseases, including morgellons disease. my doc said in my particular case the thick calluses on bottom of feet i have had most of my life a sign of the genetic component i have probably carried throughout the generations. also had one weird huge mole, had removed, where tattoo on shoulder is now had keyloid scar there. weird fungus things on face, were painful hard to heal. this all the genetic stuff i know. oh yeah was bad dyslexic as kid. well these roomates thought i had "fleas" and the blind as a bat wife showed me a "flea" . the flea was a BLACK SPECK that had bitten her down in basement. so, genetic and possible carriers. also insect vector which opened the door to hell for me. six back to back outbreaks in september of last year of headlice which nothing seemed to kill they burrowed in my and my daughter scalp, then two outbreaks of mutant bugs, one involving burrowing springtails and the last a winged bug fly bite nasty things. an amination, if you ask me on the last one. had full blown october 5th last yr, right knee swelled, sores began back of neck by accidental wounds there burning bugs out very hot curling iron and teatree oil on scalp, went to war on bugs eventually rid myself on them. i still have the nematodes specks fibers some here. october 7th emergency room visit and 3k for a shot of morphine and a boot out the door by a social worker the next day. let us not forget the condescending nurse talked to me like i was idiot boy. a few days later found this board, which i am eternally grateful for. next day after er manhandling, developed bullseye rash. weird, where got morphine shot, was i bitten there too? who knows, and if so by what. i waited and fought alone here but with your guy's help for too long. may sixth the day finally started getting good medicine. good doctor. long road ahead of me, at times hard i guess why adopted my fellow roomates, was weary of being alone. thank god for them.
