Mine was catalyzed by a bird mite infestation, where they bit me, but nobody else.

My symtpms started after I got hit by a semi truck, there may have been bugs on the windshield???? Most researchers believe Morgellons is an Auto-Immune reaction to Lymes disease The Lyme (or other bacteria) can be dormant for many years hiding in tissue then emerge when injury or other emotional event occurs. It is also possible you had a mild bacteria then the new bug bite brought on another one. I believe ticks are not the only bugs that can carry Lyme or another new undiscovered bacteria. I tested positive for 3 kind - don't ask me to spell them..........

Mine started after getting my back adjusted by a Chiropractor for the first time. That night, I became very ill and it progressed from there. I believe what happened to me is what Bebe said. I think I have had either Lyme or some other bacterial infection that was dormant and became active after the back adjustment. I know I now have a blood protozoa and Mycoplasma which may have been dormant until that point. I grew up in the Northeast and pulled (or burned) several ticks off of me when I was a child. I have been watching the ILADS conference and I was surprised to hear them talk about this protozoa that I have as a co-infection to Lyme. Since it's a new discovery, I'm glad it's getting the recognition now since I plan to start treatment for Lyme soon.

So far there is little to no evidence that a tick or any other vector is responsible for this dilemma.I have worked hard at trying to understand this disease and document with photos as much as possible the things involved and nothing about a tick has shown it's ugly head. From what I have seen and photographed there is a vector or lifeform that does deliver the inital amber goo and black fiber.I am focusing on this aspect of M and have made great progress with isolating that vector.More on this will discussed here on Mdr,shortly, along with pics.
