Default One of my worst days...

Good morning,
Well yesterday and most of the night was one of my worst morgellon days I have endured. It was nonstop biting and itching. The white hairs on my head were incredible. They were popping out all over my head, right before my own eyes. I would pluck a couple and immediately more and more would pop out.
The hairs are so thick and longer. The sticky bulb at the end of it is now bigger and longer, some with black at the end. And it's not even just the white hairs it's dark hairs too that have the bulb end on it also.
My arms and underarms have all kinds of tiny little red pimple spots. My stomach and the area around my waist also has little pimples but they really aren't red.
My feet look very dry, my heals are ugly and cracking. I had taken a shower and put coconut oil all over my body when I got out but you would of never known it by how my skin was.
My legs was very dry, they looked like it does when you get a sunburn and your skin starts to peel.
My nose and ears had so much activity going on. My nose was runny and my ears felt like there was something inside of them. My face was just irritated, itchy and looked like it was swelling. As a matter of fact, I feel and look all over my body as if it's inflammation.
All of this going on almost nonstop.... it's very difficult to deal with. Nothing seemed to really help with easing the symptoms.
FYI.... right now I am flat broke. The very little amount of money I have had went to buying food. $45.00 does not buy much for 3 people so the food that we got is NOT what I should be eating but I have no choice at this time, I must get what I can for my family.
I am taking my vitamins, using coconut oil and tea tree oil, Jason shampoo and sulfur soap when I bathe. These are items I have and I am using them, it's all I have and can do at this time.
Anyways, I have had some bad days but this one was bad ALL day and night, hard to go through with out a little break.
Feeling very hopeless and can't stand to be in my own skin.

GG, I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. I wonder if there is something in the air or if it's the weather changing but I am having a bad week as well. I am having all the same symptoms that you have described. I think I finally got it under some control. I have been cleaning my ears with H2O2, doing nasal washes everyday, eye drops, brushing my hair with a lice comb, eyelash wipes, acne pads for my face, coconut oil in my hair, and anything else I have laying around my house (especially salt gargles). I have been really brushing my hair and skin to get all the crap out. It took a few days but it seems to be getting better. Hang in there sweety, it will get better soon.

Hang in there girl, the symptoms come in waves and you will improve, all I have to suggest are baths with a heavy salt content, I probably overkill when I do this with 4 or 5 containers of salt but the way I see it if a little is good a lot is better, nothing could live in water with that much salt. Unfortunantly these baths only scratch the surface but can provide some relief.

I forgot to mention that I also had 2 excruciating leg cramps. I call them "charlie horse". Wow they were terrible. Is there anything a person can do to stop it when it happens? Has anyone else experienced this with morgellons? I have had them before in the past a couple of times, but since I have been sick with morgellons, it's starting to be frequent.
Just wondering if there is some kind of connection and if anyone knows about that?

GG, sorry to hear about your troubles today and the charley horse in particular. Here's an old post discussing this with some copied info about charley horses. I find that eating more bananas and drinking citrus juice helps this problem (high in potassium, which helps some with these problems). Charley horse problems have been discussed off and on by others on the forum along with the sensations of having numb toes and fingers:

Default Hi getto girl

So sorry to hear this.

Down here in. South Florida it has been crazy too, I think it has to do with the rain. I know I feel them bitting like crazy. I use lye soap on the spots where I was just bitten, and I do it immediately.
Cleaning your floors and walls with original pine sol works preaty good, and vacume every thing you can.
What has helped me, and I was surprised at this, simply take one or two advil liqui-gels, if your health allows this.

Also, I was just reading after you exfoliate with a loompha in the shower, mist your body with plain white vinegar, let set for 5 min. Then rinse.
I actualy put some white vinegar on just now to see if they will leave me alone if I keep it on all night.

Menopause can bring on Charlie horses too, and dry cracked heals and skin.

Hi Ghettogirl,
I am so sorry to hear of your pain and suffering. If there is one inexpensive thing that may provide some relief, it is apple cider vinegar. Organic is best, but Heinz or even generic may work too. Vinegar is vinegar. It is a high pH (basic) that seems to stop the fiber formation. Dilute a few tablespoons in water and drink (careful not to get it on your teeth, brush rinse teeth afterward). Try applying it on an area with fibers and soak in a hot bath with a cup or two. It may actually remove them.

I've found ACV even works when my diet sucks (sugar, carbs, high acid foods, processed foods). I hope your situation improves soon.

You are in my thoughts and prayers,
ThereIsHope

Hi GG,

The symptoms of this illness are very hard to bear, and make doing the simpest things very difficult. I am sorry that you are having these problems.
As I was reading your post, some thoughts occurred to me.

Before I comment on cramps in particular, and nutrition in general, I wanted to say kudos to you for being a good Mom and doing your level best --especially praise-worthy in light of your current ill-health.

The problems of nutrition and adequate intake of vitamins and minerals are probably as diverse and numerous as the individuals who have them. What works for one might not work for another because we are all individuals with unique body chemistry, environmental (and stress) factors, different genetics, illness histories, food availabilities/allergies and ages and genders.
A daunting list of variables and differences that make us each unique with different nutritional requirements.

With regard to the muscle spasms and cramps, I found that epsom salts were very helpful for this. When I could not take baths, one cfs/me doc said to make a paste using a tablespoon or so of epsom and a little water and apply it to the skin and put a bandage on it, and leave it covered for the day and night. Epsom salts is magnesiun sulfate and lack of magnesium in the body will usually lead to muscle cramps, because magnesium is needed by the heart to maintain rhythm, and the body will always leech it from cells to protect the heart.

Magnesium levels in the body are in relationship to calcium and potassium. (To complicate matters a bit further, calcium is in ratio to phosphorus ad Vit D). These all must be in correct ratio for any of them to be available for the cells of the body.
As TC mentioned, bananas are a good source of potassium (as is sea salt), and many foods including dairy and green veg contain calcium.

It is important to get the balance of vitamins and minerals correct in the body for everything to work together.

Here is a link to a good discussion about muscle spasms and cramps. It addresses the relationships between various minerals and nutrients.

Muscle Spasms/Cramps: Nutritional Treatment, Causes, Remedies, Prevention

I will add that supplements are expensive, and not always does everyone have latitude in their budget for these 'extras'. To that end, the epsom salt paste applied to the skin is quick and only a few pennies, compared to the many cups that must be added to a bath in order to absorb magnesium through the skin.

I have also read that magnesium deficiencies are also linked to calcium leeching out of the cells --which is what Mark Darrah believes is the white matter that is coming out of our skin eg calcium oxalate.
