| I just got back from having my endoscope and wanted to share my findings. I'm a little groggy so bear with me okay. Findings 1: Mucosal changes including longitudinal furrows were found in the entire esophagus. Biopsies were taken. Impression: Esophageal mucosal changes suspicious for eosinophilic esophagitis. Findings 2: Punctate hamatin staining was found in the gastric antrum. This is interesting because he described it as small black dots in the stomach just like the article that I think Frito posted about gastro findings in Morgellons patients. He called it blood spots and said it was minor bleeding in the stomach. I have pictures and it looks just like the ones posted in that article. I'm not sure what Eosinophic Esophagitis is but I will look it up. I will get the biopsy results on Monday. Doesn't an increase in Eosinophils represent possible parasites? Maybe I have Eosinophilic Pneumonia and that is what is causing my lung problems? Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm okay for now. Thanks for all the support. | Yep, eosinophils usually mean a parasite is present. They are the white cells that fight parasites. My upper GI showed something similar but he chalked it up to acid reflux disease. I don't have heartburn unless I eat a lot of carbs which I can't do with M. How did he/she figure eosinophils were involved unless that is what he noted under the microscope? Wow, this is something of a breakthrough. IMHO. This is another similarity. How many others with M have similar findings? Quote:

| He said I had white lines or "furrows" up and down my esophagus which is usually indicative of eosinophilia but we will know for sure on Monday with the biopsy. He also said that eosinophilia is caused by allergies and mentioned food allergies which I totally don't believe since I know I have a blood parasite and believe that I have other parasites causing my lung and swallowing problems. The treatment is steroids which I have been told is not good with Morgellons and especially parasites. What should I do? I cannot live with this swallowing discomfort but I am scared to death to take steroids and I doubt if he even thinks about parasites! |

| I have had very good success with some traditional Chinese herbal formulas when I had an intestinal blockage along with terrible heartburn. Very painful as I am sure you know although I did not have quite the same problem with my esophagus as you are describing (the swallowing issues were not part of my symptoms). Anyway, I know that these TCM formulas helped me recover and cured the heartburn issues too. I also have a friend who had digestive issues for years and used to use antacids all the time to control severe heartburn. I learned in my Western herbal class to make a liquid herbal formula which was preserved by adding glycerine. This person said it was the only thing which relieved symptoms in many, many years though it took time to see these result and the formula had to be continued for over six months. It was taken with every meal. I passed the formula along to my friend after I made the first batch. So my suggestion would be to find a really good herbalist where you live, Western or TCM, once you are sure you do not have a serious illness. There are a lot of herbs which can help these kinds of digestive symptoms and they do seem to work over time for many people. Belle9 has also been using herbs with some good results. I don't think I will call any of it a cure, but controlling pain symptoms is a reality I experienced using herbs as did my family member. As Belle9 mentions using herbs can be costly, so if there are any Western herbal classes taught where you live you may want to think about taking a class once you get over the worst of your symptoms. If you can find an herbalist from the American Herbalist Guild to do this as then you will receive an herbal certificate at the end of the course. Taking one of these courses is where I learned about some of the formulas I make and use to this day when I treat myself (for more complex issues I do consult an acupuncturist as I did with that blockage). BTW many unique herbs are found in the desert area where you are located. Usually herbs found growing near where you live treat disease symptoms that are found to be prevalent in the population of that area. This is something that different herbalists have noticed in areas all over the world. quote=MeaganM;81753]He said I had white lines or furrows up and down my esophagus which is usually indicative of eosinophilia but we will know for sure on Monday with the biopsy.
