Do you mean looking like bruises or just darker than normal?

Sammy, one of my earlier symptoms was the dark circles I never had before. I use to tell others something was seriously wrong when showed up with dark black and blue. At that time I had a blue molting on my legs, in square patterns. Of course I dont hang out with the mirror anymore, after my hair is so sparce, and face is thinned out in the hallows. No news is good news in the facial features with morgie. Those were the days my freinds we thought they'd never end, when all was beautiful.

Bustercat. i think its terrible when you have been use too looking in the mirror. buying makeup etc and then you are shot down. just trying too survive this is depressing me terribly dont know some days how it can get any worse. i have the bio film just pouring out of my eyes and nose. its effecting my joints thought i had a knee p;roblem could not bend my knee for a few weeks. sent me for an mri nothing. yesterday woke up and knee is back to normal. am i nuts or what sammy

You're not nuts Sammy. For years now, I have had problems with my right shoulder and knee. My knee would buckle for no reason and it was very painful. The MRI's showed nothing. Since discovering that I have M in the past few months, I have had all kinds of crap coming out of my sinuses and lungs that looks like Biofilm... thick, gooey clear gel. I have lost a lot of weight and have bruising everywhere. In the beginning, my eyes swelled up really bad in the mornings and at night and I had very dark circles under them... I thought it was from the swelling. I looked (and still do) like I'm at death's door. When I just had the pain and Chronic Fatigue, everyone would say that I "looked" good for someone who was always sick. Now, they look at me with pity and know that I am sick. I see a Gastro doctor today and can't wait to see what his assessment is of the stuff in my throat... I'm sure he will not see anything.

megan I recall you saying your going too a gastro I was thinking I need a colon job done. every thing about my health is horrible now. just waitikng on the next shoe too drop let me know how you make out. i have the problem in my throat swolling and even eating sometimes sammy

Hi meagan and sammy,
just read your last few posts.... I seem to have something similar with the mucus. I wake up every morning now congested and a runny nose. Sneezing is happening all the time. And boy, my sneezing seems to come from my toes too.

I am also commenting because of the knee issue you both said you have dealt with. My bf, Dave, is having a terrible time with his right knee and says he does not recall any type of fall or injury to justify all this pain and buckling he is going through. He went and bought a knee brace and that seems to help a bit at times.

I call what you are talking about allergy shiners, or medically, it can be referred to as ecchymosis. Increased histamine levels, abnormally high levels, in which normal breakdown of histamine does not occur can cause the blood vessels to become "leaky" and results in the "bruising" you see around your eyes. Its actually more technical, and there are more things involved, but that is the short form.

It can actually be caused by allergies per se, or the allergic rxns caused by the histamine, but it can also be caused by dysfunction in the amine oxidases, of which I have found to be prominent in my own Morgellons private hell.

Hi Guys, I'm sorry for your pain that I can identify with. Sammy that sticky sh-- biofilm gets me so angry, its like every time I try to out fox it with gloves, it turns up somewhere else. Lately under my arms, front chest area, it use to be on the lesion hand, and now that door is closing it ozzes out wher ever. Its scary because I know its the kicker. The spreader of the big kahonna. I use Dawn in the AM, but the dish soap wouldn't get it. I got the box of baking soda and slathered it thick, and sticky goo left.

Now to the knee my right knee is swelling, and it hurts like he--. I thought it was from the titanium rod from my brake seventeen years ago. Yes it kicks out and feels disconected. My son says whats that mom? He points to the huge swollen part. I've been rubbing the joint with virgin olive oil it makes it more limber, but I still have to hold my hands on it to get out of bed. The olive oil really make it pliable, almost too good. I guess mabey I cant blame the orthepedic fellow for all of this.

Its my day to feel sorry for my self, but I got to get out of it quick its a major sand trap for us morgies. My heart goes out to all of you, some of this stuff is beyond comprehension, way beyond. Bustercat
