Hello! Just a little info: I'm a 51 years old. I worked 30 years as an engineer in the computer field and have many "scientific" hobbies. Right now I'm looking through my Bausch & Lomb microscope at a sample of my skin lesion, and see a long translucent green Morgellon fiber, and also clear filaments with "buds" and 3 prong "heads". More on this later... Now: Back in May of this year, I started having these strange feelings of bugs or something biting my feet. However even pulling off my shoes, socks, and pants, etc. never saw anything. In the beginning of June, I started getting small reddish bumps on my lower legs, feet (including soles) and upper forearms. A few formed on wrists and thigh. Bumps begin as an itchy sensation, and on their own enlarge and turn into circular raised open sores within minutes to hours. As the days went on the EXTREME itching became unbearable! At first I thought it might be poison ivy; however these sores grew in size and had flat raw centers, with the outer part forming raised circular scabs. The scabs eventually progressed to dried flat “donut” shape; i.e. hollow in the middle. The scabs adhere unusually strongly to the sore. The number of sores increased throughout July and August with some days seeing 6 or more formed. One group of eight separate sores formed a circular “ring” pattern, approximately 20 mm in diameter, on upper right shin. If and when sores healed, left brown colored circular scar. My family physician told me I had infection of my hair follicles and recommended antiseptic was and soap. This did nothing! My health started to rapidly deteriorate: extreme tiredness (slept 12-14 hours a day); no energy; shortness of breathe and coughing that felt like pneumonia; complete loss of appetite and weight loss; constant irritable bowel; severe night sweats; and always that incredible itching in the sores. I found that the sores tended to crust over and form scabs. Many times if I itched or scratched the scabs, I would notice these tiny little black pepper-like things that seemed to "scoot away". In the state of mind I was in, I almost thought I was seeing things! Out of desperation, I would sometimes remove these scabs, and apply an antibiotic creme. The sores seemed to heal faster that way. On a lark one night, I put a section of the scab under my microscope. To my utter astonishment, I saw these long fibers and clear hyphae filaments that looked exactly like fungus hyphae! These hyphae even appeared to have "bud sites". (I have worked with fungus in my line of work years ago) Thinking I had discovered my problem, I started treating myself with an over-the-counter anti-fungal solution. The sores got worse! My physician refered me to an infectious disease specialist who at first suggested that the sores could be "flea bites" and in general downplayed the serious nature of my illness!! A short course of the antibiotic Doxcycline eliminated the lower GI symptoms, but not the sores, itching, etc. Then I remembered that in May of this year I had been bitten by a Dog Tick on my ankle, and the bite had taken months to heal, not to mention that when it finally did, the scar looked EXACTLY like that the formed from the sores! I then asked the Dr. to test me for all the possible tick borne illnesses. Sure as heck, a week later he calls and said I tested positive for Babesiosis! He started me on a week long course of Zithromax and Mepron (Atovaquone) Suspension. It's now 2 weeks later: The sores stopped forming a few days after treatment began, and the remaining ones are starting to heal. However, I am not convinced that whatever I had is gone from my system; and that I indeed had Babesiosis. The Dr. says that sores are rare in Babesiosis. And as I had chronic Lyme Disease years ago, it's possible that I had Babesiosis at that time as the tests they did only react to Anti-bodies. And there is NOTHING to explain the Fibers and Hyphae and "Black Seeds"! I would like to forward my microscope slides to the CDC or a legitimate researcher in order to find out what the heck this Morgellon really is ( I have my own theory). If anyone can suggest one, please contact me!

yes funny you asked just got finished listening to the jeff rense program one very worthy recipient of you sample. dr. rahim karjoo md. his email is dr.karjoo@yahoo.com he is in calif is a pathologist world renowned. go to rense.com and join up u can hear the morgellons program i listened to and his latest scientific findings. he is researching this disease and thinks he may eventually be able to make a vaccine. i have no health insurance so may go to ca where he is so i may do something to really help sufferers and get treatment. there is a good doc here in colorado springs but very hard to see. plus listening to show you will find something very exciting near end of show. it has given me hope. subcription well worth it and very cheap 4.95 for a months subscription. plus can acess archived morgellons shows and listen.and alot of morgellons info on there. and link to the good doctors info.but he needs samples he needs blood from as many people as possible. he also plans on finding way to perform blood test to diagnose morgellons disease.

I have been researching some more, and perhaps found a reason as to why the powers that be have been slow to look into Morgellons: They may already know what it is, and where it came from!! This article from "Experimental and Molcular Pathology" makes the case that "delusional parasitosis" may be anything but, and that contaminated Polio vaccines, used in the 1970's, may be the source of a "Stealth Virus" that causes Morgellon! http://www.s3support.com/members/sci...ombacteria.pdf Another article on the subject: http://www.s3support.com/Alternative...rparasitic.pdf Both articles reference "self assembly". Particularly disturbing is this: "Mineral analyses of particles attached to a single hair shaft have shown distinctly different compositions, possibly implying that some type of mineral specific affinity force is operative in the self-assembly process. The particles may also emit novel forms of chemical and cellular energies for which detection methods have yet to be developed. ACE pigment particles should be of interest to those engaged in the emerging science of nanotechnology".. Novel forms of chemical and cellular energies that can't be detected? Nanotechnology? That's EXACTLY what Morgellons sounds like - some Engineered self-assembling and replicating synthetic nano-Life Form! If these papers are true, then no wonder the Govt. and the Drug Industry wouldn't want this information known! Any thoughts and comments on these articles?

whoa! you sound like you're on to something, that assembly part, that's the main feature of my nanobugs they are elaborate and bizzare structures. i have to dismantle them. i use mayapple root, it seems to destroy the tie that binds them. then i have to dismantle them, it takes a long time cause they are so arranged and convoluted. it's nothing natural man, that's for sure.

Those links are stunnig. Everyone with our "syndrome" should copy them out and send them to our primary care MDs and in letters to our reps in the congress and in the senate. While I'm not ready to go the nano-tech root (though, I think it was Hawking who said that nano would mean the end of life as we know it), I would buy a genetically engineered bug. Going way, way out there,(WAAAY out there) I have heard of experiments putting spider DNA in goats to create new personal armor from the materials they excrete... The closest thing to what we have in nature is the mycetoma Madurella. Some varieties pruduce fibers... and the only cure is amputation. I find this less than amusing as some of my lesions appear on my neck! "You applied a tourniquet to his neck Doctor?!" Lord help us. Live for the day! And be well.

My Morgellons Update: Well, after I first posted my story, and was optimisic that my Morgellons had been "cured", it seems I spoke too soon! I had new sores pop up a few weeks after the antibiotic treatment. Back to the Dr., and he then prescribed 2 weeks of treatment with the antibiotic Zithromax and the drug "MEPRON Suspension" which is a formulation of micro-fine particles of Atovaquone, normally used to treat Yellow Fever. This treatment DID slow down greatly the number of new sores, but not entirely. I have gotten two new ones on my back, and a few on my ankles/knees. However, I have not gotten any new ones in the last two weeks. Hopefully as the last ones heal up, slow as that happens, I'm praying that they are the last. Research Update: Stunning find: I examined a microscope slide of a skin/scab sample I had taken from my leg 2 months ago. I was shocked to find that I could see that the colored fibers had grown in length and size, and that I didn't even need a microscope to see them!!! It's almost as if the fibers continued to grow even after the skin sample had been removed from my body! (I'm theorizing that since the sample contained some small amounts of Blood, they fed off this?) Under the microscope, I could see that the fibers had indeed grown in length; some so much that they curved around the sample. Many fibers had also developed small roundish "globules" on the end. The colors of the fibers ranged from Clear, Sky Blue, Emerald Green, to Black. The Clear ones tended to be very branched and "organic looking" similar to Fungal filaments (i.e. hyphae). Very strange....
