| The good news is that I found a doctor who treats me and uses the term morgellons when she describes my symptoms. She has mainly been treating the symptoms. She has also run more tests. I have systemic Candida (two strains) and my ANA was positive which means I have an autoimmune disease (duh!!). Now I have some proof to take back to the naysayers. I also had at last check NO flora in my GI tract as well as some nice lesions there as well. I guess the theory about my making them myself can go out with the bathwater. She has treated the Candida which slowed the brain fog and neurological symptoms. It recurrs (sp) quite often though and I can't seem to get rid of the springtails or the things that slice my skin. She wants me to see a rheumatologist since they apparently can treat autoimmune diseases. I also have a wonderful place to work with a very laid back boss who has lessened my stress immensely. I am not getting weaker every day. I feel stronger. The bad news is that one of my major stressors is back. My son-in-law who can legitimately wear a wife-beater shirt (and child beater as well) has moved back in with my daughter defying the court order that they live apart. She will not discuss the ramifications with us at all. We have told her that we will sever all contact including paying some of her bills but she seems to not care. This is hard to take at Christmas time. I was looking so forward to this Christmas with all three grandkids. I am able to cook this year and was going to make a big meal. Well, if you have read this far you probably think that I should count my blessings, but being alone at Christmas is tough. Thanks for listening friends. |

| I am glad to hear of your good news as far as having a sympathetic doctor who is trying to help you Belle. It's also good that at least some of your health issues have been identified so that they can be treated. I cannot imagine all the worry you must be feeling concerning your daughter's and grandchildren's safety. It's a sad, sad situation compounded by the holiday season. So often those held in by such marriages identify with their tormentor. Hopefully you daughter will wake up to reality before it is way too late. Despite this major disappointment maybe you could still cook for some friends who would otherwise be alone over Christmas. No reason to lose what happiness you can share with your husband and others, not when you are feeling better. I am feeling better this Christmas too so that is a blessing that we both can count on the blessings meter. And for some unexplained reason I am feeling joyful and hopeful lately. I feel that is a very special Christmas gift I have received early this year. tcm ![]()

| Hi Belle, How is your doctor treating your systemic Candida? I was told to rule out Lupus and have not had the money or insurance to do it. Glad you are doing better. Sorry to hear about your daughter being back with her abusive ex. It is so hard sometimes to see our kids go through things that are so obvious to us but not to them. Hope she opens her eyes soon for her and her kids sake. Cyn ![]()

| She (my doctor) has me taking some fluconazole for a little while. She says that yeast develops resistance to it pretty quickly. She has me on a strong fizzy Vitamin C that you dissolve in water. She also likes GSE and oil of oregano. She did not disaprove of the garlic I take. She is very picky about my supplements. I appreciate that. I'm not sure she was prepared for how chronic this illness really is however. |

| Thanks for the info Belle. Glad you have a doctor willing to work with you. Did she say which two strains of Candida you have? Hope you continue to improve. Cyn ![]()

| In New Mexico! We are trying to set up a clinical trial that includes anyone that has Morgellons type symptoms and has been diagnosed with depression and OCD. We are very new to this website and the Morgellons disease. Is there any one who lives in New Mexico, southern Colorado, eastern Arizona or even west Texas. If so, please contact me directly at wayneprice77@earthlink.net if your are interested in working directly on this issue. |

| Here we have another poster who joins and says he is concerned about a friend who has these symptoms. Quote:
Then a few posts later we hear why he really joined. He is proposing some sort of a clinical trial. So the whole reason for posting here is most likely not A Friend with our symptoms. No, it appears Wayne is yet another person who posts about "a friend" without telling anything much about him, but who obviously has some agenda, in this case plans for a " clinical trial." Wayne, would you mind explaining who is sponsoring such a trial of Morgellons symptoms, OCD and depression? Such as telling us who is sponsoring it? How much money is available for it? These sorts of pie in the sky posts frequently get people's hopes up and the next thing we know it's just more malarkey to sell some sort of product. If it is a legitimate clinical trial then please share with us more details about such a trial. Such as what are the parameters of the study and what is the study itself trying to accomplish. Who is doing such a study? Doctors? Drug companies (to sell more drugs)? Who? Just the fact that it includes OCD and depression as the main areas of study has me a bit on edge as the only diagnosis many are getting from doctors is one of DOP. Associating morgellons with more of the "its all in their heads" studies may hinder future study into the serious physical symptoms many of us have. Quote:

| I have moved a copy of your latest post to this thread (along with some others you made) where at least there might be some kind of continuity to your posting. I do not know or understand why anyone who claims he is doing a study of Morgellons would post what you have below on a thread about birds dying in huge numbers. I am sure you must have had some vague reason behind doing so. I think as it stands now, you are no longer saying only people from NM are to be in this "study". You have since added southern Colorado, northern Arizona and even west Texas in a later post. You seem to keep adding to the study by broadening it and now perhaps all are included? Of course what the study is supposed to accomplish still remains a blank in your latest post. Did you know that if all you plan to do is ask questions and have whatever is asked remain raw data you could read the questionnaire Franky (owner and admin of this site) has started and not even have to do a "study". Quite a few people have already answered a lot of questions and in doing so have retained some measure of anonymity which your survey would not afford them. You have failed to give any real reason for doing such a questionnaire. You will not be the first person who claims to have connections with the CDC (as if many care by this point). Are we supposed to be impressed? And who is "we"? You know. The "we" you keep mentioning? So I ask again: Who, if anyone other than you, is sponsoring such a questionnaire? Why is OCD and depression being highlighted? Who are those in the medical community you are working with (those pesky "we" people)? Are the claims you make any more than just words on the page here? Why should anyone trust you? You have been less than forthcoming since your first post where you tried to appear to be just posting to help "a friend." Then immediately the posts started to change. So what are you really up to by being here (motivation)? And if you plan to keep everything as raw data then why should anyone at all waste time with your survey which is not even close to the definition of a "clinical" or "technical" study (your earlier descriptions, not mine). The way I see it there is a "hole" (again your words) a mile wide in the story you are telling us and there is definitely nothing in any way remotely "whole" about any of it. Since you seem extremely reluctant to answer anything in any kind of detail I will have to assume your motivations are not ones which will withstand much, if any, scrutiny. Quote:
