Default Vitiligo

Something to consider when white patches are on skin:

Vitiligo: MedlinePlus

DHMC | Health Encyclopedia | Vitiligo

Vitiligo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Often found in patients who have thyroid disease, but also in other cases it is unexplained. Also linked to genetic, autoimmune, Addison's disease (adrenal issue), pernicious anemia and environmental factors.

Hello,
Yes these spots are definitely related to our disease.when i was 16 or so i use to go to the beach and get wicked dark all of a sudden i started getting white leopard spots all over my face, the dr said it was a fungus and told me to use selsun blue i think thats what it was if not a similar one but he told me to apply it on my spots.it did help but they still came back everytime i would tan.

Momentarily I don't have any physical symptoms..but white spots on both forearms..wonder if they will be there forever? Can we get entirely rid of this disease or is it only a 'symptom free' stage? and can break out again like herpes?

The same thing is happening to my roomie who also has Morgs but denies it most of the time...till times like when one morning "glitter" appeared all over the hand that we had put antibiotic ointment on the adjacent wrist.

Anyway, whatever it is, I think that it IS a symptom of M, but is probably a symptom of many other conditions. In my case, since it started on my legs 10 years ago, then nothing until the last few months when it suddenly began asppearing on my arms, I am going to give this one to M. But what the exact process is with M is as mysterious as every other symptom with this. It's up for grabs.

Default Spots but no pink elephants (yet)

No sarcasm meant in Title line. However, as time has passed I don't think I'd be surprised if I did see one.

I've had these for 2-3 years and I didn't have any movement until Oct. '08. I remember when I first noticed my arms and wondered why I had white spots on them.

I find this interesting: I have been using Eucalyptus Oil to dry up the fake skin crap stuff and it is causing white things to come out also. What is peculiar is they come out from the so called "age spots" too.

By "white things" I mean small white debris like stuff. Lots of them under the fake skin crap. But I also had small white hard as stone like things on my face which are coming off too.

Sometimes I feel just like I'm laden with everything??!! YUK YUK YUK
