i'm not sure if this is being posted on the right forum...but how do you actually know if you're getting better? i know this might be too much information...but the external itching is starting to go away, but i still see little fibers and things all over the place. i really don't think it's just me getting used to the disease and ignoring it or anything...even the tickling in my throat is going away a little bit (or at least it does to a degree when i'm not eating and then it seems to flare up again, but even that is decreasing). the weird joint pain and labor pain sort of of kicks and random muscle contractions are still there to a degree...but i really don't know how to know if i'm getting better. i've been taking salt baths. i've even been forcing myself to drink water with salt in it in the morning and at night and doubling up on probiotic vitamins....i haven't even touched sugar (not even sweets like cakes ) i've been feeling really sick the last couple of days and throwing up and all of that but i'm not sure if it has anything to do with the morgellon's or just the change of weather. does this thing move inside instead of showing external symptoms after a period of time or something? or is it actually going away and the throwing up and feeling ill is my body's way of curing itself? i really have no idea..but if anyone knows, please let me know. thanks!

Hi Whrk!! Are your kidneys aching, any headache and does your urine smell strong? If so could be herx - caused by toxins released from parasites as they die. Eats lots of fresh veg and keep drinking that water. Green tea may also help you feel better. Jo xxx

Hi Jo...what a helpful post, thank you! I'm not really sure what it would feel like if my kidneys ached, honestly...I had a feeling under my left rib on my back that felt like the feeling that I had near my heart and on my stomach..and it's kind of a strange way to explain it..but it almost felt like a "kick" in a way. I had a headache the other day that wouldn't go away and I never really get them so I don't know if that helps at all. I don't know if my urine smells or not though...I've never really had a fantastic sense of smell, honestly What is herx exactly though? You said it was the toxins released from the parasites when they die? I know this might be too much...but could that cause a reduction in constipation as well? Since the throwing up started, I've started going to the bathroom well, sort of normally actually...I've been eating a fair amount of fresh veggies though...not really any fruit though. I've been trying to avoid the sugars which is really hard, as I love cakes and things I'll definitely try green tea though, that sounds like a great idea! Thanks again for the post ![]()

Hi WHRK (sounds like a radio station lol) Hmmmm well, I would think if an elephant sat on me then I got up, I'd know I was getting better. Sorry to be flippant and make fun at your expense, but it's been a long day. No excuse, I know. I guess I hope you get a smile on your fact and laugh. I'd say it depends on what symptoms you had in the first place, and forgive me if I don't go back and look. How long have you had Morgellons (if you have it) and how long have you been doing treatments? It might be herxing, as Jo says, but if you feel like you have energy, don't have lesions, don't have fibers coming from you, don't have joint and muscle pain, don't have depression or anxiety, I'd say you're getting better. Other than that, maybe you'll have to just wait and see? I hope you ARE getting better! Kritts

I hope it is a sign that you are getting better as Kritts says. I know for myself I go from thinking I am so much better to wondering if it will ever get better. I am sure a lot of my symptoms are better though. What we all want is for this nightmare to be over and done with for good. I go for a few days of feeling nothing moving, no real symptoms to having them come around again to some degree. I just keep doing my protocol and praying for a complete cure. What else can we do? Hang in there and whatever you are doing that helps, keep it up. Take care, DD

Thanks to both of you, both of those posts did bring a smile to my face. I'm not really entirely sure how long I've had this for though...I think it may have started with the brain fog, joint pain, and something feeling like it was biting my hair (it was occasional, but getting more frequent) for at least a few months now, maybe longer. I think I just assumed that it was normal to feel those things sometimes so I didn't worry about it too much. About a month ago though, I used Afrin nasal spray for allergies after going hiking in the woods, and shortly after that (I thought I was hallucinating from taking too much of the spray or something, but I wasn't hallucinating), is when I started seeing and feeling the biting and all of that and I tried to write it off as having something to do with the medicine, but the worms and all of that persisted long after the medicine wore off. After all of that, I started doing research, and that's how I ended up here I know the statement about not knowing if I was getting better or not may have seemed like a dumb question...but I don't feel biting anymore before I see the fibers. I still do see them in the bath (and um, in new places, like when I go to the bathroom....I know that might be a bit much, and I don't really examine it or anything, I'm just trying to make heads or tails of all this) I don't know about having energy though, haha. It seems like there's a million things to do and not nearly enough time to do them in and that's exhausting in itself. I know also that there's not really a lot that can be done except fo trying to push through all of this and keep trying to find something that works...even when its frustrating. Thanks again to both of you...I think you're both extremely brave for dealing with this for so long and I really do appreciate all the advice ![]()

| Hi, next time you get a "kick" under your ribs or in your back, try a lotion that has menthol in it. Seriously! I don't know what products you have in the UK, but try to find "icy-hot" or blue emu lotion. Welcome, ~jonsi
