katinka--- i've definitely noticed that some items of clothing seem to produce (not sure if that's the right word) the crawling sensations more than others. i don't know that it necessarily correlates to color for me, but i do have some very dark navy towels--cheap ones i bought at target when this whole mess started---and they do seem to make more of these tiny lint balls that stick to everything else in the load. i mostly avoid them now, because those fuzz balls freak me out ![]() i'm real curious what other folks have noticed about this....i haven't been able to fully pin down what makes the difference. kelley

I don't think there is a difference in white or colored cotton. Nothing seems to bother these things...even being dyed. I remember Quimninja (who's no longer here...disappeared suddenly offf the forum) wrote we should stay away from white cotton. Kritters

I agree there are tons of fibers on black, but one reason is that they show up better on a dark color. Most of the fibers are clearish to whitish with a few reds and blues intertwined throughout. I have one black wool jacket that I can't keep the fibers off of and so don't wear it. There is also the possiblility that since most of our goods come from China and the sanitary conditions there are horrendous....and they are shipped UNCHECKED into our country. We've had discussions about this last year, I think. In any case, what is there to prevent mites, insects and other pathogens from being imported on the clothes we wear? NOTHING. Kritters

There is a chance he does have this, many , many here have been told they have scabies. The othere item known for back problems is shingles or possible herpies, many that have herpies also have this.

| I stopped wearing the white cotton socks as I had loads of fibres in feet from them.Looking at clothing most seems to be infected with something.Strange red/blue stuff. But if I wear cotton socks my feet burn like mad and what they have done to my silk underwear is terrible.Must put a pic on of it when i have time. Ninja is alive and OK.
