I've developed deep pain in both shoulders over the past 6 weeks. I don't know if this is directly due to Morgellons or because I've become so inactive after this mess took my life away that I get in positions lying down that are injuring them. Anyone else have this? My left shoulder is much worse than my left, making even washing up in the shower painful. SS

| Sadsack... Have you been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia? I was about 8 or 10 years ago and thats where I have the most pain. Mine is generally my right shoulder, but it can be either. Also, do you sleep on your left side? That could cause the pain to be worse on one side. I'm no doc, but I was prescribed neurontin for Fibromyalgia, and it has been a tremendous help. If you can't get a script for that, ibuprofen works very well also. Also hot baths with LOT'S of epsom salt helps deep pain for me, and has been a major plus for healing the lesions, along with peroxide, although the peroxide won't have any effect on the pain I'm sure. | Niecy - I didn't receive an official fibromyalgia diagnosis, but I saw it mentioned in my medical record at one point. I sleep on all sides - like cooking a roast - back, stomach, each side. My bed isn't very comfortable and I may have to get a new one. I'm just a little afraid of memory foam - isn't that a petroleum product? I stay as far away from that stuff as possible. I think some foams are made from latex. I gotta do something. I don't take any medications, either, except a very tiny amount of xanax. I don't even take aspirin, tylenol, etc. I'd like to, but the doc I am working with is against all of that. I do think the pain is from injury - sleeping on my sides, leaning on my hand while lying on my side (I've stopped doing that), etc. At least I'm hoping that's the case, then maybe it'll heal. If fibers are imbedded in the joints, then I'm screwed. Actually, those two things aren't mutually exclusive. Over a year ago I did a huge amount of purging over about a 3 month period of time, and wherever I had joint swelling, scars, etc., much more came out of there than other places. I did read one time that this junk does go to points of injury, surgery, etc. SS |

Hi Sadsack, I too have bad shoulder pain. My left side is worse too right now. The reason I say right now is because I had it in the right shoulder that shot down to my wrist. That went on for eight months and then just went away. It was so bad I had to keep my arm over my head all the time just to get a little ease. My problems with my back started with the lower and now have progressed to involve my whole spine. Ihad hoped that after the neck operation I had in 2004 that it would not only help my neck, but also where the pain was in my shoulder blade, shoulder, under my arm and into my left breast. It only helped my neck which I'm glad for , just let down about the other. For some months I have been using these alcohol wipes. Sometimes I'd wipe my face and upper body, arms or areas that itched. It seemed to help. My upper arms and shoulders got so painful I could hardly raise them. The alcohol definitely disturbs these critters, which is what is causing the pain to begin with. IMO Stopped useing the wipes and the pain went back to what I always have to deal with. I do hope you get lucky and this calms down for you. I feel that I've had this since I was a child(can't be sure though) and its at the root of many of the health problems through my life. This lays low for a long time in the body then by some triger it cuts loose. Bye for now, Claudia

Claudia - I really agree - I think we have this for a long time and have a number of things go wrong off and on, triggered by something. And then the day comes - the BIG M - and all the fibers, lesions, etc., become very apparent and maybe the most prominent issues. What is perturbing me the most about this is that I wanted to turn over a new leaf and start trying to do the things I used to that brought me pleasure. One was golf. So much for that. Grrr. SS

Thanks, TCM - I think I will go to my arthritis doctor, whom I haven't seen in about 14 months. Last time I went I was a mess...covered with lesions and sobbing. I'm a little embarrassed to go back, but she was always nice to me. I think I should get it xrayed. I might also get some magnets, see if that helps. I've tried the heat and the detox pads. SS

Here is somthing that the doctors way overlook. I had an issue with my joint in the shoulder, the doctors thought it was my imagination, of course. I had xrays and mri to no avail. They started shooting steroids into my joint, STUPID idiots. I chaged doctors about 5 times they did another MRI, from this they decided, yes, I had a bone ULCER. This so called ulcer is what I feel happens when the invader eats its way thru bone, sort of like polups in the colon, JUST LIKE POLUPS, The doctor proceeded to tell me of the bone ulcer, doctor I asked what causes bone ulcer, WE DON'T KNOW HE SAID, but it is apperent to me that god made you wrong and we will have to grind your bones away, we don't know why you have not been in pain alll these years but it could not be the BONE ULCER doing this. We know that GOD makes alot of faulty bones that have worked 45 years without any problems. Long story short they ground my bones away and removed the ulcer, (bone spur) or whatever you call such a malady. I now what to GRIND every doctors bones so they can also be fine and happy. These spurs are the cause of intense pain in the joint when you try to lift your arm past your shoulder, if you have this condition MAKE SURE THEY LOOK FOR BONE ULCER (SPURS) FIRST. If not the doctor will cut you up like a sunday ham and you will still be in pain. It does not make sence that god made you incorrectly and these incorrect parts show up after 45 years of perfect, painless useage. I have very good cause to despise doctors, they are simple minded lackeys, most of them, they are just like any car mechanic, most are just parts changers, a very special few can actually deduce the problem and fix things and they do not use air wrenches tightening everything to the max, they do it by the book to torque with a torque wrench. This is why you pay $65 dollars an hour so it is done correctly, but today the parts changers do not read the books at all and overtighten and bend or destroy many items on a brand new car because of this, just the same as the big hurry doctors. The big problem here is it is your life they are bending and destroying!! INSIST on them checking the joint for bone spurs or ulcers if you get a MRI or Cat scan.
