Hi, Wow! Haven't been here for awhile and am amazed to see this post. In the past, so many times I've read about others having similar 'stuff' happening at the same time. Yes, I've had a couple weird like 'fruit flys' buzz by me just the last 2 or 3 weeks. Thought it was an eye floater or maybe I was hallucinating at first, till I smashed one on my monitor. In the summer , they normally stick around the garbage can or where there is food. No food in here. Was almost like they came off me? luv, wth

What - I had flies, a few, around me several months ago. They eventually diminshed. Only one did I see actually exit my body, then try to get back in. I swear, I have no right to have any sanity left. Maybe all those prayers have not been in vain. SS

Very interesting observations and wonderful to see ya posting WTH ![]() I always thought the fly thing was secondary to morgs. Now I believe Sheila O Leary's theory - that a big part of the affliction we call Morgellons IS an infection of unusual fly larvae. So with Sheila's help and others, I'm hoping to get a long web page of research out before tinsel and turkey time. If anyone would like to help please shout. Love to all, Jo xxx

Jo - Another way to think about it is Dr. Staninger's explanation, i.e., that "we" have been "infected" with foreign dna of different types, including insect, plant, junk from the sea, etc. This genetic material (plasmids) have been delivered to "us" compliments of EBV and CMV viral envelopes. Some scary chit. SS
| |||
Hi SS, Good point. Plasmids bring the agrobacterium back to mind. I guess I'm trying to narrow down some of our affliction and symptoms where correlation occurs - the fly larvae could explain the crawling, tracks, debris and more. They seem to follow a life cycle and thrive, so cant be THAT franenstein (sp?). Fly larvae trouble the places sufferers often have trouble with... hypodermis, hairs, nose, mouth, ears, eyes, sinus tubes, nipples, lungs, throat, intestines, bladder, colon - any cavities really. I'm researching what kills them and it pretty darn matches the things we use/take. If anyone can help with researching this angle some, try googling key words like; myiasis, drosophila, fly larvae, maggots cheers Jo xxx

Jo - And then, on that Mystery ER show, Dr. Stricker was interviewed and he said that the crawling sensations were due to the fibers under the skin - did he say "growing" or "moving"? Same difference, I guess. Of course, they (Stricker and Savely) and Dr. Wymore say parasites aren't involved at all! Then you watch "Body Bugs" where you see Trisha Springstead pulling out one bug after another! What is this about anyway??? Different diseases, different versions of the same disease, different expressions due to environmental factors and genetic predispositions, different stages of the same disease? And how can the leading experts have such extremely different views?? Dr. Staninger has verified that some kind of small black fly (a midge or fruit fly?) is definitely present. She does not think other parasites are part of it, though. So you are in good company, Jo! SS

Horror... this morning in addition to the usual threads etc when I wiped my face I got off a LIVE crawling bug, racing accross my cotton wool pad... a bit like a small tick.. at the moment trying to kill it with acetone.. urrgh... yuk... Hilly

| Gosh Hilly, I hate to say it, but it might have been a tick you saw. If you still have a pet that is. Ticks where we are have been rampant this year and the normal tick controls for pets are not working that well either. There has been a lot of rain this summer and I think I heard the same about UK. So if you still have any pets you may want to look carefully around the floor of the house and on the pet itself. Ticks also like to hide under mattresses and along baseboards near the floor. I think the parasite issue probably varies from individual to individual, some having them and others not. This could be why different ones are seen. In my own case I am sure I have seen round worms, as they are pretty hard to miss. The others I have seen have been impossible to identify. It could be that the parasites are secondary to the infections which may cause skin lesions in people. All I can say is that the use of ivermectin over time is reducing symptoms of parasites to the point I have not seen any lately nor is there anything dropping off my skin to the floor as it used to do.

Thanks TCM for your quick reply... I think you may be right and it could well be a tick brought in by the dog... I'll give him a bath again and see if I can find a spray for the room. It really does look like a tick, we've killed it with acetone and it's now a bit shrivelled up and has stopped running !... Hilly x
