Default Think I have Morgellon's, but doctor says no.

It all started when my 20 year old step daughter contracted head lice and I think body lice in her hair. We treated the lice, but then weird things started happening to myself, and 2 of my other kids.

With my son (he's 2 and a half), being bitten by these weird wing-like "insects". SOme left pieces of themselves behind under his skin. Then some just bit and stung. Soon after Istarted getting bit too, but on one "insect" I noticed a worm-like larvae of some sort and it didn't penetrate my skin this time, I killed it first. Finally my 8 week old baby had an "insect" burrowed half-way under her skin too. I killed it and dug out the remaining pieces. This was all in the last month.

Lately, I feel stinging, crawling and itching under the skin from head to toe, in every crevice of the body, round , scabbed lesions (some with black specs in or around them). I saw what I thought was a tick completely buried under my heel, I dug it out. I saw 1 thread-like projection laying on my skin, but not near a lesion and 1 blue "fiber" under the skin. Sometimes I see black specs with no lesions or black specs that itch like scabies. I can dig them out, but they're too small to tell what they are. Doctors said I possibly had scabies, but this was when I had no crawling sensations. Not all balck specs for me itch. The latest symptom I saw was what I thought were larvae in my hair, about 1/2 inch long and I just happened to be running my fingers through my hair and I found 2 of them.

My son can't tell me if he itches of feels sensations under the skin, but I have noticed him itching a bit and he has had "fibers" that DON'T protrude, but lay under the skin. He has been bitten more than me by these "insects".

And lastly, my daughter had 1 insect, that I saw bite and bury under the skin, and she has had 1 lesion, but no fibers, no itching from what I see.

My doc treats a Morgellon's patient and is convinced I don't have Morgellon's, but another disease brought on by the bugs my step daughter brought home a month ago. They did blood work on me and a Lyme disease test, but the results haven't come back yet. In the mean time, I feel the biggest symptom for me is the crawling, tickiling sensation under the skin. Sometimes it's partially controlled by an antihistamine (Dimetapp only). ANd other times I can swear it's controlled if I just don't think about it so much. This leads me to think it could be psychological, but I know it's not. I know what I see and saw and feel in and on my body.

Hey doodle,
glad you joined here. you'll be glad also. Two quick things:

1. You say your doctor treats Morgellons and says you don't have it. I'd like to know what his criteria for having Morgellons is, how he 'treats' it, and why he says you don't have it.

2. you wrote:....ANd other times I can swear it's controlled if I just don't think about it so much. This leads me to think it could be psychological, but I know it's not....

It's NOT PSYCHOLOGICAL. It is real, so you will think about it. Stress exacerbates the critter activity since we put off chemicals and the chemicals can trigger movement by them. Chemicals are everything.

Others here will be posting to you to help but I just wanted to say those things.
One other thing....be sure they and you are getting extra B vitamins. This is my personal thought which you can take or leave. I'll be posting more about that, but evidently B vitamins play a crucial role in diseases of all kinds.

Question Kritter's question to my post...

Kritter's, you say stress exacerbates the critters movement and being stress free stops their movement under the skin. What do you think these critters are? Worms, larvae, bacteria, virus'?

Doodle,

I didn't say that being stress free stops the movement. I said stress exacerbates the situation.

What do I think these critters are? all the above and more.

Have you read through the archives of this forum yet? There is so much information you really will learn a ton. Many really smart people are working very hard to figure this out. Just go to the home page and type in a search word and you'll see posts and threads containing the subject.

good luck,
Kritters

Smile Hello

Welcome Doodle!

Thanks for posting your story.

A number of us feel that there is an insect connection to this disease. At the moment, we are unsure how significant it is and we are in the process of identifying insects, their larvae, egg etc from our skin and found in our homes.

Would you recognise the "weird wing-like insect" if you saw it in a picture?

Here's the thread on insects. Please shout if anything connects with you: Insect time

Here are our latest treatment steps:

And here are suggestions for children with morgellons:

Please don't be shy to post away...

Yes Jo, I would recognize the "insects" if I saw them. Do you have any pics? I am scared to death this is some type of larvae or worm.

So sorry Doodledog... I'm afraid you really do sound as if you and your children have morgellons and I do hope your doctor helps you soon. In the meantime follow Jo's advice and look up Carla's Treatment advice.. There's lots there which can help. Have sent you pm also.... Keep going and do ask for help/advice, most of us are pretty 'old stagers'
Hillyx

ps. My first 'bugs' looked like scabies bugs but not quite, and I also had lots of the little black seeds, some in nests in my neck. It then developed into other strange creatures and of course the fibers/threads.

Default Dont want you scared

Dearest Doodle,

Whatever Morgellons turns out to be, we will get through this. The last thing I want is to scare anybody with my 'take' on this disease.

I've had some close encounters with a number of species of small fly mostly. Plant gall midge, small gnat types. We have lots of albums in our profiles, full of things we are finding on us or in our homes.

.......remember what Kritts said about stress and morgellons. Please dont go wild searching if you're feeling uneasy ok? Take your time.

Jo xx

Default Jo....

If you think this is insect related, why is it so hard to find a cure? Doctors treat parasitic diseases all the time. How close are we to finding a cure? Are you like Kritts and think this illness is bacterial, viral, fungal, worm and larvae related?

Default Agree

I think Kritts is right...abit of the four.

Good point, why cant we get rid of this like you say? I think the parasitic infection we have isnt in the human scientific doctor handbook...yet.

I think there are lots of things we can do to help ourselves... to knock the infection down so its almost gone. If its identified, maybe we could target it soooo much, that it goes completely...this is my prayer.
