Greetings to my brothers and sisters in suffering. I have had this disease for over fifteen years. It has spread to all the other members of my family with tragic results. Only my faith in a good and merciful God has sustained me. In spite of my husband's excellent insurance there is absolutely no help from the medical community and yes several skin docs labeled me DOP. I realize that people all over the world suffer more than I do but the bottom line is when you go from being normal, healthy, intelligent, etc., to a life filled with physical and mental pain and then add the horror of watching your children as they grow into their teen years bedridden much of the time it takes its toll. May God bless us all and be merciful.

Hi Sorrow & welcome,

I'm sorry you have been going through this for so long. What are you doing to help your children? Have you tried homeopathic medicine/treatment?

There has to be an answer somewhere. Please share your story and background info.. treatments, diet, exposure to God knows what you think might be contributing factors.

In the white light,
~jonsi

Thank you for your concern. I have not tried much outside of vitamins and herbs. I have been on antibiotics for the past six years for the skin lesions. The past ten days in California we have had a heatwave and this has caused all of my family to be bedridden. Three of us still have jobs but today no one was well enough to go to work. My family thinks my diagnosis of Morgellons is nuts but there is no explanation from the medical community as to what has caused all of us to have lesions, fatigue, etc. My one son is on 6MP. This is a drug for cancer patients (he does not have cancer). They hope it boosts his immune system. Things have never looked darker.

Hi Sorrow, You wrote: "Three of us still have jobs but today no one was well enough to go to work."

I was barely able to go to work today (neither, either, too? )

Glad aliester gave you some good tips! I don't have medical insurance and homeopathic medicine/organic diet has helped me and my 9 year old daughter.

Glad you found us and please, keep posting! We have had over 300 new members join since January 16, 2008. This is spreading and we have to voice our opinions, express our feelings and help others know that we are not DOP. There has to be a light at the end of the tunnel. We are not alone!!!

Welcome to you Sorrow. I am sorry you and your family are so sick, but here you will find concerned and caring people who share your many of your symptoms.

I would just like add a small caveat here. Nuts may be fine for some, but if you have any kind of reactivated viral infections nuts may worsen symptoms. I am being treated for reactivated herpes virus 1 (cold sores) and 6 (roseola and often involved in autoimmune chronic disease). The lesions on my back have dried up and I just have a small place or two left, but these are drying up slowly too. So you might see if your doctor can test for viral infections. Mine tested for 1,2,6 &7 (he is in infectious disease doctor). I still do have problems with some lesions which show parasitic involvement, but I hope over time that as the viral infections return to some sort of quiescence that the parasites will become less numerous too as there is probably some connection to parasites in the body and the infections.

Also if you haven't already you may want to look into the morgellons treatment steps posted on the site.

Default many thanks

How kind of all of you to respond. I am overwhelmed. Today in San Diego the heat broke and that helps. Do any of you find that when temps go over 90 the suffering is more intense?

Hello Sorrow,
I wish you would change your moniker. ;-) I don't want you to feel sorrow. In fact I hate it.
I have a majorly close friend in San Diego. You live in an unbelievable area of the world, my friend. If I could convince my loved ones to move it would be to S.D.
She has lime trees, for God's sake! Aliester may have insight!
Best,
Kritts
