my name is ann and i live in colorado springs.

i am truly a newbie to this have only been afflicted with this for over a month.three days ago, my kness and ankles started to swell. all i know was seemed to start with a bad bout of headlice weve had last couple of months. after 8 treatments think they are gone but have all classic symtoms of morgellens. I speak to you now with vaseline around my eyes ears and mouth, to try to keep it out. two days ago i went to emergency room and all they did was give me a shot of morphine and said i had parasitic psychosis. my 10 yr old girl has too but she was with ex. i was really scared because had social worker talk to me at hospital and i dont want to lose litlle girl because they think im a looney loon. stayed up all night stinging bad also have vaseline on back of neck where i have about 15 sores. trying to sterilize house with enyme cleaner took bath twice already some relief but little. I have a 2800 sq ft home so hard to clean all running out of enzyme stuff and need to have enough to give daughter a bath. i also have 5 pets 2 dogs collies and 3 cats. my husband has to work in nm so i am all alone no car neighbors are jerks and i certainly would not tell them of my affliction. (unless you had it, would YOU believe it?) I am so tired of not sleeping, and just so tired. I am afraid to go out in public can i give this to somebody? can my daughter go to school and play the violin? can my husband even come home to visit? i dont know i am so glad he is away and not suffering with this. I want to see if my daughter and i have lyme disease but afraid with previous diagnosis of it all being in my head afraid i wont get any help. if i hadnt found you site i would have no hope. ty and how can i find doc not a jerk? ???

Hello Ann. Very Very sorry to hear of your condtion. Yes its very diffucult, esp when friends, people and the medical community ignore or even laugh at you. You have to hang in there and take step by step. What are your sympotms, if we may ask? Does your daughter have the same symptoms as well?

Hello Ann, I think the social worker was right for now. Why dont you go see a doctor and find if you have lyme disease. Dont mention anything about morgellons untill you get a diagnosis. I thought I had morg as well, but it turned out to be lyme disease. Apparently both disease are closely related. Lyme is very tuff to handle, but at least i know what i am dealing with now. I wish very much luck, and for now see what a doctor says first. What are your signs you have?
