| Carla dropped me a line awhile ago to check on me. Just wanted to let everyone else know I am still around: surviving, not thriving. Haven't been intentionally avoiding anyone. Actually went back to work full-time, due to financial and career necessity. Myself been really tired at night during this transition and haven't had as much time as liked to peruse the board. Think for now, I am adjusting and getting a little more energy back. Skin symptoms were quite manageable for a "Morg" until I returned. Two weeks ago creepy incidents started happening: Scalp had looked really good and just shy a full head of hair. Walking around without hat then pretending I was normal. Then it started happening: dissecting fibers, two weird small bald spots in a matter of days, without much hair loss on floor. Then in like two weekend days, two nasty face lesions: one on lower lip that looked like a 3 inch map of Austra, and another on left side of head above ear even bigger and pretty ugly. Out of desperation, reluctantly phoned dermatologist. He was actually a little helpful this time. Saw me same day: gave me cortisone injections on those scalp spots (think this is fine if you are on antibiotics and don't have open lesions), and Valtrex for the nasty cold/face sores. Now mind you, I don't have "social herpes", but they use this and Acyclovir for bad Darier's disease and persistent cold sores. Been on that antiviral for a week and think it's helping alot, along with Desitin (Zinc Oxide diaper rash ointment). Of course, I have the blue vascular fragments coming out occasionally from arms and those tree gall fragments occasionally. But at least these measures appear for now to keep hideous head problem from replicating and clearing sores. Currently Lyme Dr. is giving me Flagyl and Biaxin. Think these are helping to keep situation at bay, especially if I have occasional energy to sweat the drugs through skin on treadmill. (Nothing is ever truly adequate, but gladly take what helps somewhat). I never know if the next day, week or hour, will bring forth further improvement or disaster. For now I am just living day by day, grateful people are currently being very nice and patient where I work. Would enjoy hearing how new and old members are doing with their battle, for better or worse. Regards, E Jay |

| Hi E-Jay, same here, living day to day always grateful for another repreive from the symptoms. Hair, sores, pain, fatigue are issues for me. Meds help for a bit, but we must be reinfecting ourselves somehow, at least thats what I think. Alot of people have it in my town. Glad you are back to work, I am sending good thoughts your way. I really like your post on MIA, we all get like that dont we? Its not easy to be alone with this disease but who can we share it with but here? I wish my Pollyanna ideas were true. I figured if I armed myself with good intentions, a clear mind and some evidence they would listen intently!! Anyway, I liked your post, it helped me out today. Im gonna have a good day no matter what! Thankyou! Nat |

| E-jay!!! I have missed you! I had a relapse starting early March. It got pretty bad but I finally went back to my doctor a few weeks ago and he got me back "in shape" and I doing really good now. I sure slept a lot this last episode. I hope your treatments keep working and that you enjoy your job. Love, ~jonsi

| Hi E-Jay! Great to hear from you again..... I can't believe you are doing so well despite the horrific outbreaks. You must really be taking care of yourself. I'm glad. I'm too tired right now, but I'll bring the poles I started to the forefront so you will hopefully weigh in. You mentioned herpes (either one is still herpes) and that is one pole. I hope you'll stick with us even sporadically. You're family. xoxo Kritts |
