The way I look at it, if we can figure out their cycle, we can beat them!

As for 'critters', I got rid of those fairly early with many rounds of Ivermectin and other stuff, I'm just dealing with spores, seeds and no telling what else?

Bugs don't like me at all. They'll go after everyone else around me before they do me, I'm the last resort. I've noticed fewer and fewer bugs in my house since "M", too...

I have reasons why I think this is...

I took ivermectin once, felt great for a week and haven't taken it again due to other health issues. Rough stuff on an old bod. Thinking about doing it again though.

I took it several times due to a doctor writing me a script for 2 of them, the pharmacist had to order it and mistakenly gave me the whole box, because he'd never filled it before! I didn't take the whole box over those months but I took it at least 3 times.

I believe that's why I'm not dealing with a live 'bug' anymore. I believe there was something live there in the beginning, tho. I have Hep C, so I have to be real careful with my liver and liver-eating meds.

And, you take one and then 14 days later you take the second one. (If I remember correctly.) Did you get 2 doses of it - in a month, Lamb?

No Kam, just one dose. i am going to call the derm again but Have other bladder/kidney issues pending at the mo'. Can't find anything on MellissaJ's suggestion of dermatex..Any clues anybody?

I know I have a lot of questions. I tried doing some cleaning tonight and got several bites while trying to do it.

How do you go about finding out what's in your house? Hubby wants me to call someone tomorrow, but I don't think exterminators are the way to go.

I think you can sprinkle the DE around your house in your carpets. Has anyone ever sprinkled your house with DE?

Yes. I have spread DE all over my house. Vacuumed it up and spread again. No use. i do drink it twice a day dissolved in H20, with my vitamins. My new thing is "Nature's Miracle" a urine/pet/stain/enzyme cleaner. They have 2 different brands.. Nature's miracle/ Orange oxy. Great stuff! I have sprayed it all over my couches/beds/ mattresses/carpets/air conditioning units/doorsteps. I put it in my laundry, spray it in the dryer, spray it on the dryer filter, and I vacuum like a nut.
For the first time in ayear I can sit on my own furniture!! It's awesome!!

Don't get me wrong, I love DE. It works differently for everyone

I just don't know... but I love this enzyme stuff.. anything for a moment's peace. Never lasts all day but 18 hours is an absolute blessing!

From the first day I found this site I started to be on the defensive on the "bugs" I vacuumed every day in the places where I spent time. I sprayed with a mixture of white vinegar and water on everything. Then I ordered Tweet from safe solutions, and we mix that in a spray tank and spray all carpets and throw rugs once a month. In between I use my spray bottle with either the vinegar or the tweet mixture, alternating it. I also used the DE when I got it. Sprninkled it all over the place. Now I think it helped but maybe it was a combo of all the things. I don't get bites anywhere in my house.

I do keep up the spraying and vacuuming regularly though. I even spray my bathroom floor until it is wet with the tweet or vinegar. (it is tile) I let it dry on there. I spray the walls too!

I know this sounds like a lot of work and it is, but I feel it is worth it to keep everyone that comes into my house as safe as I can. About once a month I take a brush called a webster and do my ceilings and fans etc.

I clean my kitchen daily as throughly as possible also. Wash all the counters and vacuum the hardwood. Wipe down the cabinet fronts etc.

LOL! I told you all that I was a clean freak, I was even before I got the morgs, just more so now.

I hope this helped at least a little. It is a big job! Do what you can and make sure you take even better care of yourself. That is what counts the most in my book. DD

Mosquito Spray...Worth a try
I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as wel l. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby. During the summer, I don't leave home without it......Pass it on.

OUR FRIEND'S COMMENTS: I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. It works - in fact, it killed them instantly. I bought my bottle from Target and it cost me $1.89. It really doesn't take much, and it is a big bottle, too; so it is not as expensive to use as the can of Bug-spray you buy that doesn't last 30 minutes. So, try this, please. It will last a couple of days. Don't spray directly on a wood door (like your front door), but spray around the frame. Spray around the window frames, and even inside the dog house.


Now these are Good Mosquitos!!!

I'll bet it works and I've noticed its use lately for killing lots of stuff in the mouth I never realized before.

Thanks kritts, We have a mosquito problem becasue of a neighbors stagnate swimming pool water. No one lives in the house and it is being foreclosed on. What a mess! The water is muddy brown and the mosquitos are breeding there. They are cleaning it out today after all the complaints. I will be out there with my spray bottle shortly. I have a large bottle of listerine. Gonna see if I can zap them suckers! I haven't been able to sit on my patio or breezeway since the weather got pretty. XO DD
