Default Hi I am new to this site

Hi everyone. I was searching for the treatment of Morgellons and came across this site. I am so relieved that I am not alone.

I have had the Morgellon's Disease since 2001 and my life has been Hell. It all started in Barstow, California, when I was trying on some clothes at a boutique. I felt strange itching and crawling sensations but I tried to ignire it. After a while, the itching became intense stinging/burning sensations all over the body. At that point, I thought I had body lice or scabbies and seeked the help of my general practioner. Mainly because the medication prescribed by doctors (Lindane) seem to help. The problem was it kept coming back. I also started noticing some tiny black pepper-like things coming out of my skin... I knew there was something terriblly wrong with me but I could not figure out what. I have seen a few dermatologists, but they did not believe there was anything infesting my skin - and suggested a psychiatic treatment. It was so humiliating and I was so discouraged from seeking further medical treatment. Instead I have been researching on my own.

It seems that I can not eliminate the "source". Whatever that is causing my problem seems to attach itself to paper, wood and fabric. No matter what I try, I can't eliminate everything (I can't afford to discard everything I own) and by inadvertedly touching infested item, the burning sensations return all over again. Due to my job I have moved from California to 3 locations in Germany for the past 6 years and now I reside in Michigan and it followed me every place I went. My husband has been very understanding but I know it is getting cumbersome when I ask him to throw out perfectly fine furnitures because they cause me the "burning pain". I have small children and I am less affectionate with them because I am constantly afraid that I might infect them with what I have - although they don't seem to be affected by it right now, they are only 2 and 3 and they might be too little to tell.

So far, I have been using Enzyme cleaner I purchased from safesolutioninc.com to take baths and it seems to help - but the problem is that I can not kill the source. My office at work seems to be the worst "source" because I have to sit at my desk 9 hours a day. Since I can't just throw out the office furniture, I don't know what to do. Everyday I dread to go to work knowing being in the office would cause crawling sensation in my scalp, burning pain on my lips, hands & arms and back.

No one else in my office is having the problem and I have not told anyone - I am too ashamed to tell because even the doctors don't believe me, I don't think I can get my co workers to understand.

What can I do to clean my office without being too drastic or being conspicuous? If anyone can help please let me know....

Hi there, Kari.

As bubba has mentioned, you are not alone. This site is a tremendous resource of information, help, and support. I've been using the treatment steps for around two weeks now, and am finding incredible relief for my symptoms. There is hope for you, Kari. I have similar symptoms to yours, and I'm feeling so much better using the treatment plan bubba has outlined. At first I was very overwhelmed when I first read the steps, but I managed to pull myself together and do it, and I'm so glad I did.

Please keep in touch with us here and let us know how you're doing. I wish you well and much success in your healing journey.

Linda P.

Hi everyone, thank you for your warm messages. They meant a lot for me. I really got teary eyed. I have not told anyone about my illness except my husband and the doctors I had seen. Of course the docs treated me like I was a freak. As for my husband... I don't think he was quite convinced until I made him read the Morgellons article and your posts. I think it was hard for him to comprehend because he has no symptoms (lucky him). I am just curious... Do you have any family members who are affected by the symptoms?

I went shopping and bought some of the items mentioned in Bubba's treatment plan. Thank you sooo much. I finally have a hope of beating this thing. What I couldn't find, I will purchase online...

As for Bubba's question about my office - I work in a small cubicle in a large office so there's someone there almost all the time. But I think I can bring in cleaning wipes. By the way I could not find Lysol or Mr. Clean wipes... is there a specific ingredient I need to look for? Any of the wipes that I found at the store did not contain Citric....

Sorry I am full of questions but I haven't had anyone to talk about this for 6 years... Is there a way to clean papers? I was in denial in the begining and I tried to ignore my symptoms.... and some of my important papers got infested...like my daughter's birth certificate and the title to my car etc.... now I got wiser and I try not to maintain paper files and I rely mainly on digital files. However, there are some things that we have to have in paper copy...

Also thanks for the doctor's name Bubba!

And thanks again everyone. You guys are great!!!
Kari

Kari I put any important papers in bags and left them in frezzer for a few days .It didn`t seem to do them any harm .Put each one in seperate sleeves though. Throw any unimportant ones in bin
It must be a worry for you with the babies ,I know. You can send me a personal message if you need to .Take care Carla

Carla thats a pretty ingenuis idea there. How you come up with the idea? If you dont mind me asking, why did you begin to put inportant documents in the frezzer?

Wow I never thought of that. I have to try it.

I wonder if it works for stuffed animals?

In the past I had to throw away a nice teddy bear - it was my daughter's baptismal gift.

I did try to microwave some stuff and it almost caught fire - so I don't recommend it. LOL

I am glad to see that I wasn't the only knucklehead that cooked a stuffed animal...I thought it was doing fine and even drying quickly, but did not notice that it was on fire on the underneath side...also...the worst of it was that there were still several bugs and eggs that did not go away in the wash, and they exploded in my microwave...I wasn't taking a chance, so I even threw out the microwave....after taping every crevice with duct tape...I knew there were vents that could lead to the outside of it,,,and since more were hatched, I wasn't taking a chance...

I would have put them in the freezer, but I read that they just stay dormant in there til they come back to the warmth...??Kentucky haze
