Specific Tests to aks for?

I have found an infectious disease specialist who will agree to see my friend
after he has some tests done. But we don't know what tests to ask for.
I guess it is sort of his version of triage!

What tests have you had that indicate there might be Morgellons or a parasite?

How do you document your symptoms?

How you you collect fibers or worms?

Who is taking the microscopic photographs?

The only test I know to ask for at this point is a Lyme Disease test, and I'm not even sure about
what it is called.

Firstly Seasprite congrats on your find re strongylus.
I think I can say this, that we are currently trying to collate a survey, using expert help, to really determine the symptoms.
As to sample collection, if your specialist wants them, that is great, and I guess you need to be able to keep them separate and sterile.
My GP always uses formalin and mentally I scream at him, as how will anything be able to survive in that?
I would suggest samples be placed in distilled water or an agar solution, as Clapton said "Let it grow!"
