Default A cool cardiologist

Been pretty bad with hands and unable to type, but got lots of supplements thanks to 2MF and feel to have a bit more energy and hands not as painful.
Went to see the cardiologist today with this wonderful story. But this guy is very open minded thank goodness -he's the type you would like to put on your key-ring and carry everywhere. definitely got his finger on the pulse (no pun intended). He does a lot of research and is intrigued with this and is going to look further at it.He doesn't think I'm the delusional type but he's open minded about it.Mmm. Open minded about the disease....I think, I hope!!!
Anyway I can produce friends who will vouch that I was never a good cleaner of the house and who are all amazed that I've turned into this fanatical hausfrau so they know there is something wrong with the house cos I would rather crawl through a pit of snakes than play around with vac and dusters.Specially when there is so much more interesting things in life to do ...like dancing with hens...Kevin Costner missed out on that. .And having meaningful conversations with them about the morgs..as they know they exist ...unlike sceptical best friends who think too much rum has beeen imbibed.
Anyway Englands answer to George Clooney gave me a good once over with his trusty hammer on the knees, saw me lose the balance a couple of times.Told him SOME of symptoms not the sci fi bits yet and he said he would send me for a scan on brain.OH JOY.It was mri scan that kicked this off,but no this is not magnetic so hopefully there won't be a repeat,ha ha.Now has anyone out there had a brain scan?If so did it show anything?Somethings def. amiss cos loss of balance is very frequent now and am having headaches and nose bleeds. Also getting lots of salivation even the dentist remarked on that. How embarrassing that was, he probably thought I fancied him or something.AS IF,AS IF!!!Have had enough of men with their what nots getting bitten and endless gastric probs.Jim was going back to work when he had relapse in drive so that was another 10 gallons of DETTOL thrown down drive-now the neighbours will think i'm a super efficient cleaner, scrubbing the drive .Wait till i've finished Carla am going to get those 2 silly women on the TV who go round looking how clean houses are to come here and see how its done.Walls streaming with vinegar/salt/lemon juice, October and ground frosts....I trust by January someone will send me a bronchitis cure!!
Its been a bad bad year and just goes on and on,another 2 people I know have kicked the bucket suddenly, been going down like flies this year, and still the jehovahs keep coming.4 visits in 11 days now-they think they know something i don't...but i'm ahead of them..
Oh well its being so cheerful hat keeps us going,,,

Patrice,
Hi there, I've heard all about you from Carla, all good. I am in Glasgow in the UK, too. I am so pleased to hear about another good doctor out there. I've had brain scans but for epilepsy not for the Morgs stuff. No-one so far feels that it deserves such investigation. Not even had a proper examination with illuminated magnification. Although acres of radiographers available for my recent breast op. (that was luckily not too worrying).

Anyways, I hope you keep better and continue to cheer us up with your great humour.

Carla, I tried for ages to find a contact for the David Elkan (maybe forgotten his surname since last night - that happens!). He wrote the New Scientist Article and he is free lance. He also writes for The Guardian. I think if he was contactable he might do a follow up to his initial feature.

Perhaps we could also get together and contact Sir Liam Donaldson, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Department of Health.
He is responsible for the Strategy for Communicable Diseases -
http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Policyandgui...ases/index.htm

Well, I think they might be looking for something new to do as the latest information seems to be related to SARS.

However, in the CMO's Report - Getting Ahead of the Curve - A Strategy for Infectious Diseases. (Janury, 2002). It says:
"To successfully combat the threat posed by new and emerging infectious diseases, the key is a strong surveillance system underpinned by good clinical reporting".

Could we be part of that 'surveillance system'?

Hi Pat,

You do have adventures, goodness.

Yes, the loss of balance is definitely a symptom of morgellons in some people. Stands to reason, it affects brain function, plus as I learned in TCM the spleen controls the muscle function strength. I feel junk is in spleen big time in most people (at least that is my take after reading many posts). If our lymph systems worked better it would help, as I think that these things survive best in folks with alot of what the Chinese call dampness, either cool/cold (more frequent I believe) or warm/hot. Anyway, daughter had scan of brain, but nothing unusual showed up (her symptoms mostly the brain fog, loss of balance at times, try to keep us going with herbs of all sorts, so far she can still work).

Your doctor sounds so cool. What a treasure he must be. I am glad he is intrigued. The more brains involved in solving this the better and it sounds as if this doc has one. I must say I like the idea of a doctor on a key ring, though is he sure you are not delusional? Oh, right, I forgot. You still haven't told him the sci fi bits. That explains it.

Just had to put our old dog to sleep yesterday, so am up as I woke at 2am thinking of him. He did not have morgellons, but he was barely able to get around, as he had some spinal nerve degeneration. Common in his breed. Still I wonder what the effects of years of meds for fleas, heart worm etc do to nervous system. If only another way to control all that. Anyway he was my constant home companion since I have been ill, though he really was my daughter's dog. It was very hard for us to say good-by.

Well, guess I will go back and try to catch some zzzz before the light of day arrives.

best,

tcm

Thanks for your sympathy Carla. Yes, absolutely I plan to stick with you Brits, as you brighten the day here for us all. Isn't it strange the tricks the mind can play though. I thought I heard our old guy's nails hitting against the wall where he used to sleep when I woke up. Surely will miss him.

best,

tcm

Hi Gumball, yes I'm still here and fighting hard.... have been having a rough time with the herxing I think, but feel a bit better today. A lot of Brits around now, what fun lol.... my dermatologist that seemed so good is now having second thoughts and chickening out, blasted fellow... but there are hopeful signs and more and more and these docs will all get egg on their faces soon.. lol..

tcm, so sorry about your dog.. know what it is to lose a best friend... I'm afraid my Toby will not be around long he's only 11 but has this terrible cancer tumour on his leg... it's huge, has been removed twice but vets can't do it anymore. not bothering him too much at the mo.. but I don't think it will be long.

just having a coughing fit, so say goodbye for now... love, Hillyx..
