| Okay, Let me clarify what I said about viruses starting with birds. They do, but not the kind from the well cared for birds our members have. They start from the hoards of dirty, neglected and mal-nourished birds and swine in areas where they are owned by dirty, mal-nourished people. ![]() In the book "the great Influenza" (oh, really, Kritts? gee....you NEVER mentioned THAT book before!!!! ) and by the way.....you ALL should read it...I got it from the library which I have found to be very progressive in my little town......................................![]() okay, the author has decided, based on his research which is quite incredible, that the next pandemic will probably not even be the avian flu because many people have been exposed to it than we realize and it will have worked itself out thin. Instead, it will probably be a resurgence of a new and improved virus from the one we had in the seventies (I think...not sure...but one of them...not the 1918 one....) that is still hanging around, morphing and moving and shaking with all the right hosts). So BOTTOM LINE HERE.................. keep yourself healthy and eat the right foods. (And be very careful with whom you do the chicken dance) (da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da clap clap clap clap clap) ![]() Kritts Happy New Year. Kritts |

| Well BB thats more like it! Thats my Beaky to a t.What a great illustration.Love it. Kritts, glad you clarified about the bird virus etc.Personally I would find Bird Flu sooooo boring after the morgs. ![]() Seriously though avian flu seems to kick off in The far east due to awful conditions birds are kept in.Mainly its been passed about due to wild birds dropping in hens runs for a free feed.Last year I spent weeks covering the big run with polythene on the roof to stop em dropping in.Magpies are the worst-dirty carrion eaters they are. I clean my huts out so well each day that if a bird flu germ had the audacity to show its face here I would take great delight in kicking its bum right down the road. But my poor chicks didn't start the morgs thing and 3 have it I am sure. The little New Hampshire has been losing balance and mamselle lost an awful lot of weight. However I keep spraying them and giving them ivermec also a 'miracle' supplement and they are ticking over ok at the moment although mamselle has grown a strange white feather- and she's a totally black hen!! Definitely the morgs I have is a parasitic fungus cos its taken over the garden EVERYTHING is green. Its killed all the fruit trees and its covered the roof of house actually lifting the tiles. If I put washing out its covered in no time with small white eggs.I can feel them on my face as soon as I walk out there. And its a big garden which makes treatment worse and expensive.

Hey, what do you call a person who looks like a pig, walks like a duck with long skinny bird legs? answer: I don't know but don't kiss it. ![]() Kritts (hey what can we do but laugh at this point, right?) |
