welcome, cathy, to our little safe haven from the hateful stares of the blind. people that don't have this disease (even the ones that do have it but THINK they don't) look at us in almost disgust and its because the experiences we relate SEEM impossible, so they choose to believe they are impossble, which make us "delusional" to them. we here, tho, have been through it. there is a wide variety of knowlegde, theories, experiences....and an ample supply of warmth, support, BELIEF!!
welcome..............

Hello Cathy,

I am so sorry you and your mum are suffering from morgellons as well as from the slings and arrows of outrageous treatment from your GP there. It is so infuriating that people are ignored and ridiculed when they are suffering, in pain, and/or itching. Know that here you have found people who not only believe you but will support you, try to answer your questions and find inexpensive ways for you to help yourself and your family with this awful problem.

Here are the treatment steps posted for morgellons which may help at least some of your symptoms:

http://www.morgellons-disease-resear...php?topic=30.0

I do not know if everything will be found under the same brand name in the UK (is Selsun Blue the same name there or does it have another brand name--well you will have others from the UK to clear up those questions for you).

I know others here will greet you as well today, but just wanted to send you a warm welcome too. May you find many laughs here along with at least partial answers to morgellons as well as all the support you are seeking.

best,

tcm

hya cathy
i joined up today so im a couple of hours newer than you.
I wouldnt like to reccomend any potions or lotions cos i honestly believe wot works for some doesnt work for others.I do knuw that quite a few different things work for me but because yor little girl is only a tot the only thing i can suggest is something i used with some success on my lesions and will be safe for her is a mixture of cider viegar and sudocream at least if it doesnt work it wont harm.
my girls got the early sympyoms crawling under the skin i used to purge them of the hairs every so often but it progressed no further than that and over the last 7 years (they are 21 and 19 now)they seem to have beem free of it.
I know i havnt been much help but iv made so many mistakes on myself im nervous of that i may do more harm than good. anyway iv gone on long enough bout eff all so ill say bye bye for now
luv from genia

hi genia, it is okay, glad you post ad true in some regard the simpler the product the better. what NOT to use: bleach will not kill it, antibacterials just make symptoms worse. keep hair short but do not shave heads almost as if have to give disease "something to play with" or can go into ears etc more agressively. glad found some things which helped, i private messaged you our treatment steps, which are many basic things like salt vinegar, peroxide and the like. ecovie is something should get, because can use for eyes, it is good bacteria and simple enzymes help break these things down, including kill adult fibers. mine too started with headlice. wish you the best, (LC).

Default Re: Am a newbie and this i my story -so am i and i am very confused

hello all-my name is kiva and i currently live in brooklyn, ny--
i am very confused about what i might have--and if my one year old sweet baby boy is affected since he seems to have been diagnosed with "eczema"-
and you know with little ones its hard to tell what things might be--ie. diaper rash-food allergy--teething--heat rash--etc---
so i am at a loss and panicking is exacerbating my problem--basically--now as i look back---whatever this thing is --i have been dealing with some semblance of it for many many years--but chalked it up to nerves, eating sugar in any form-even fruit-, having dogs, fleas, seasonal -caffeine--etc--
i am a very clean person--and i say that just to illuminate my total shock at feeling and seeing granules of what seem like sand-in my bed-now i used to live by the beach in california--so truly we would get sand dust on windy days--so i imagined that might be it--
then the dog/fleas theory--then stress--right i mean who isnt stressed these days-
i have freckles so i have "natural" spots --and have not ever experienced lesions--
however--years later--i am in ny--still have little chihuahuas--and again--i go to change the sheets and am hearing the twilight zone theme in my head as i feel and see "the sand" again--at the same time as this--i was pregnant--and read in books about how hormones may cause skin changes--and i was in my last trimester in the humid summer in new york--so again---figure its just all that---
have my sweet baby---and due to many things --find homes for the sweet dogs with other family members--and i embark on being a new mom--with of course--
post partum issues---etc--so difficult to narrow down what is exactly the real culprit here--but clearly like all of us --i kept trying---now my son is one--
and at 6 months--he began with the 'ezcema" rashes---and several times--noticed the sand--and then black pepper like granules on him--on me--on stuff---
and thought--"oh dirty new york city"---and began to obsessively clean more than ever--with natural products of course-lol!
but it just keeps up=and seem to appear out of nowhere----so it all comes to a head--
two nights ago-when for the zillionth time i am unable to sleep---i have always had insomnia--but now it is accompanied my burning--prickley--itching---hell!!!
and i do not see anything---but i feel --and lift up the bed sheet --and well--looked like--i went to the beach and shook off on my bed-!!!!!!!!!
i go to the internet--as i have friends who have had bedbugs--and look it up--rule that out--then i see "black pepper mites" and think--hmmmmmmmm--is it ethical to now throw away the mattress->>--and then the search leads me to the possibilities of morgellons--------ughghghgh----
and of course as i write this--i ask myself---is this now mind over matter and am i creating this----even though i know its not true --i am very hard on myself--and fear the rest of the world will think im crazy too----in any event---
i continue to have no lesions---just the burning--itching---prickley feeling---
and am not sure what to do next?--we barely even have funiture--and spend alot of time on the floor with our baby---playing---so again--but should i throw out everything?-will this follow me wherever i go?--i am always swiffering--cleaning etc--but these black things--WHAT IS GOING ON--how did i get this?? i feel crazy---
should i be away from life??-what about my sweet baby---???---
i have a very clean diet--do not smoke--drink or drugs--have done tons of cleanses--and yet---these sand creatures or whatever they are--have found me---and have known me for a long time--though i dont know who or what they are--nor how to cope----
i am grateful to know that i am not alone--though still feel very alone--
wish--i could really talk to someone on the phone--sometimes--cyberspace--just doesn't cut it----
thankyou for being here--
bless all--
kiva

(((Welcome Kiva)))

I'm so sorry that you may have this illness. It breaks my heart to hear that your infant may be suffering also. There are a lot of wonderful and caring people here. We care about you and understand what you must be going through.

Bubba our wonderful global moderator here has a website:
www.morgellonstreatmentsteps.com. On this site, you will find a wealth of information on cleaning your environment, topical treatments and internal treatments.

You can also find an overview of those treatment steps here:

Unfortunately, I am unable to use the telephone at present due to my ears being in such bad shape, but you can PM or private message me if you just want to vent. I'll see whether one of the veterans can PM you and maybe talk to you.

Please Hang in there. You're not alone here.

Peace, Love, and Blessings,
Jay
