I am trying to recall. I need to look this up since i just had mercury fillings removed and was planning on doing a heavy metal detox.... but doesn't one of the detoxes recommend a fruit juice as one of the main parts- maybe apple juice??
I have been trying real hard to cut sugar and carbs- wow has that been more difficult than I expected...
I keep trying to do the "right" things, but if I need to restrict sugar, but then a detox calls for fruit juice, what do y'all suggest???? I don't have a juicer.

Hello everyone!!!

I love citrus especially oranges but like chocolate and sugar the orange citrus drives my morgellons and yeast ( according to my Candida book)crazy. Last summer when my symptoms first began I had no idea nor did my doctors or allergist what was causing my outbreaks. It was terrible, anyway, I remember the day before my family and I were leaving for vacation I made myself a tall glass of fresh orange juice. Next thing I know I was getting bit all over, lines appearing like crazy...my heart sank 'cause I was doing pretty good ...most of the rash and pimple like sores were gone. The symptoms made my trip miserable. My face was red as a beet, even my ears...a huge pimple appeared on my chin...it was a nightmare. But I had no idea about the sugar connection, chocolate etc and off course without this knowledge my symptoms lasted the duration of the trip and continued till I found myself here. I was eating all the wrong things.

I'm going on vacation again in August and thanks to this site and to all the good people here and their advice regarding this condition I'm hoping for a much better time.

As far as the fruit ( because the yeast diet is so darn restrictive) the book I follow allows green apples ( only 1 or 2 a day, black berries, strawberries...just fruit that isn't sweet and not to go overboard....and introduced slowly after 1 month or so on yeast diet). White grape fruit is also good but I read yesterday that it has an enzyme that apparently overstimulates estrogen ( I believe) which can cause an increase risk of breast cancer. Great.... something else to worry about. Oh well...

You know....I think we ALL should give ourselves a great big pat on our backs....we've come along way I think, considering most of us don't have the medical community on our side.

All the best

Sally

i think eating papaya is okay because of all of the beneficial enzymes in the fruit and seeds which help fight the disease. i also think perhaps something like pure ruby red grapefruit juice might be okay. perhaps pneapple. i eat tons of lemons and limes and salt then, (LC).
