Default Morgellons Nightmare

Our family has been suffering with Morgellons for a year and a half now. My son tested positive for Lyme and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I wish I knew what the connection is. I wonder if Morgellons takes these diseases and replicates them in our bodies. I'm still in shock that the CDC doesn't think this is important enough to take immediate action on.

Hi browncircles sorry to hear of this. Is it just your son, or other members of your family? Yes the cdc seems to be taking this slow, but if you saw my last post on the CDC they seem to be ready for early next year. I wonder after they get into full gear, how long it will be untill we get some feedback on this.

browncircles there does seem to be a very difinate connection between lymes and morgellons. Hopefully the cdc will get to the bottom of this.

My son is on doxycycline but is still testing positive for Lyme and Rocky Mt. Spotted Fever. We've had a few rounds of ivermectin. We're going to see a lyme doctor this week. My mother and my husband tested negative on the ELISA for lyme. I haven't been tested yet. I have to keep my mother covered in ketoconazole to keep her lesions down. My husband only has a few on his arms. I can't use the keto but I've been using econazole nitrate with some results. Selsun blue shampoo. Taking grape seed extract, olive leaf extract, MSM, garlic, and a few others. I simply cannot get these white fibers out of the laundry. No matter how many time I rinse the clothes the rinse water still has white stuff on top of the water. Bleach, ammonia, clorox II, you name it, I've tried it. We need disposal clothes.

Ya, i have to agree here. I made a lot of tests in the last 3 years and the test for the lymes desease was always neither positive or negative - i tested it 3 times in 2 years. Anything else was negativ.

Browncircles~(I recognize this name) Just my 2 cents regarding the laundry and such. My lint screen from the dryer, was rediculous. Being indoors alot had a big sign to me that something was not quite right in my house. I noticed when I would leave for any period of time. My skin tone even changed.

My laundry issues, just as you describe. Everybody's socks began to get holes very easy and fast, as I recall.

My family loves my Italian cooking and I did alot of boiling noodles on the stove. The gook (white foamy slime) was also another indication of "not right". Many other issues, of course, as well. Not sure if you have had any similarities but overall, my house was spotless and I was a clean freak...still am but when I had that problem, I never felt clean. Just sticky and gross no matter what I did and no matter how often I showered.

The old laundry department can be a very big sign. I posted about it previously, as well as others did. Thoroughly cleaning both systems (machine and dryer) and taking them apart to do so, might give you some answers. Your laundry should get better after this.

Are you on a well or public water? At one point, I thought my water was the issue and it still could have been adding to my problems but it was not the source. I bleached my well as well as my hot water tank. It helped a bit but didn't make it go away. So then I purchased a $10,000 whole house reverse osmosis system. That did nothing, either. My skin just felt slimy or something when I would shut the water off after the shower.

I did finally get answers but I'm not sure if you have dealt with any of the same strange things as I did.

Bakunin--
If you have had that many Lyme's tests "that are neither positive or negative" I would be willing to give you the option of contacting me by personal message or e-mail, with the actual opp site numbers of which areas you had antibody reactions +/-/~ (IgGenix reports will print out a full report in this fashion.) The actual site location can have significance BEYOND the total number of sites--as any fully Lyme literate doc knows, but most others will not. The numbers represent the particular proteins sites of the Lyme bacteria, and some are more possible to cross-react with other bacteria (such as the tail flagellum's site) and some are totally specific to Lyme-and-Lyme-only.

I have a file on all the sites that lists exactly which are which. Some people can be called Positive with only ONE positive antibody, IF that is a Lyme-only antigen site, with no other cross-reactors possible to confuse the picture, but many docs don't understand that, because they don't know how to read the individual sites.

It's amazing when you read a post from a stranger and realize that they are going through or experiencing exactly what you are...My dad's lint screen was VERY weird and now mine is...I am clean but still sticky. My skin will stick to the wall etc. It's not the sticky humid stick to the wall sticky, but something totally different. My home has become a battle ground, but I am truly making great strides. I really want to throw everything out, but i just need to get better and these things won't bother me. I got bitten today in the stores on my feet and I wonder - is it my pants or stuff on the store floor. My lint screen has improved and my laundry is better due to advice here (vinegar, borax, ammonia, bleach, oxy clean and ECO VIE have been the most help) I just feel incredibly annoyed that after all that, I am still battling.

I cannot believe that my refrig., dishwasher, oven and microwave were infested so quickly. I am getting rid of everything when I get back from CO. The d/w and oven/stove are already broken. I find seeds everywhere - my new shirts in closet, my appliances, my nails, nose, etc. I am still fighting, but I am more concerned than I care to admit.

Does anyone lay out their clothes theday before? Iron daily? Steam daily? I want to start putting things back where they belong. Do I have to continue with the zip lock bags and plastic bins indefinitely? I keep buying new clothes because I keep schlepping the old stuff to the garage or garbage. My kids need some sense of order and normalcy....I really feel like a freak.
