why,.....hope all is fine,....seems we got off on the wrong foot,....my bad!,...theirs lots we can agree & disagree on,...this is the time to do just that. I welcome all pro & con,....and why??,....do you have a better idea?? would you go about this differently?? what are your true thoughts??,....do you care enough to do something about this Disease??? & if so what??,.....how would you handle this?? do you really care about people that have yet been effected?? and why? do you feel helpless? say what you will,...this is our problem. You know what happens to people that are fighting a battle just to live, they know in their hearts along with keeping up with their symptoms or just keeping the will to live, their dance card is quite full.

It also is quite hard to rally families untill their loved one is slipping or has slipped away.

The real people, the ones that will do this, they do not ask, they just do.

I know a woman, she was for smokers rights, not much of a cause but she did it all on her own, she called congressmen and senators, she made flyers and sent them to everyone in the US senate and congress. She called our congressman all the time.

It was not much use, but really it was not much of a cause, she finally gave up, but this was done all by her lonesome.

If you get some people that will send all the flyers out, I will help brainstorm on the content and length of a letter with photos and background information.

It will be hard to present this disease as we are so broken apart on our situation. With all the DOP diadnosis it will be an uphill battle for sure.

I understand what you speak of,...one Battling for smoker's right is not a very good cause,...we would hope bring about Public awareness,...we all need to come together,...rather then just wither away in silence. ....I find it hard that folk's that will accept such a fate,...I understand folk's have their plates full or overflowing,...but if nothing is done,.. then what?? in the hopes of educating the Public about the truth of it all,...and ask for the help of young minds,..that have energy, in our University's...and Collage's..that have the will to do something for a noble cause,... many people have very different ways of doing things,..But!,. what I notice they all arrive at the end point. so the thought is,,, ask?? it;s a matter of public safety,....the Public has a right to know the truth,...it may affect their live's,..and love one's,...every day I'm here,...someone new is joining in our suffering,....is that fare??? if we can make some kind of differences,....is it worth it all,... for not just us,....but for every one.

Individually we can only do so much. We sit by a computer doing some kind of "research" that don't really amount to much, blog, chat, feel bad, and depressed. Not good. Not good way to fight. This thing is here for us to become better. Better humans then we are. We need to organize. Right now there are many sites with varying information and even though there is some kind of loose organization, we need a better one. We need to make a better web site that would be up to date with all the info there is and we need to check up on scientists that are not affiliated with CDC that are working on it. They are doing something, right? I think that we have a right to know. Government can live by the secret code but we are not it. We are people and we are good people and good people have nothing to hide. There is strength in numbers! I believe that wee will defeat the beast. I had a dream when I was getting infected. Actually it was a series of dreams. First I had dreams that the monster was strong and breaking chaos. And then I had a dream about a battle and in the end of the dream the demon king got slayed. These are the blackest times of the darkest age. The end of kali-yuga, the end of era as we know it. Soon the world will change. I love the world no matter in what shape it is but a clean world is a better world of course but I dont believe that it will die. Anyways, back to the unity. Organization is a key to success. We need a base, a mothership if you will. I make videos, movies and such. My cousin got a service which puts videos at the 1st search page on google. I'd like to do something, but its hard to do it by myself. We need to come together. Nanotransformation... what happened to them? Did they get a large sum of money to take their page down? Anybody got their book?

Ay!,...Don, how ya doen?....your points are all valid except one,...MDR is a fine site and the most active. I understand lots of things are in the mix,...just the other day on the rally thread,. is a person that represents a great number of folk's with Lyme,.. asked to join forces with us or them,....this I believe can be very productive,..since many with Morgs. have Lyme,..not all but many,..their are also Lab's that have been working on this for some time,..and more to come. their are people here working on flyers and leaflets,...we can only take a step at a time,...I'm working on moneys,..and gaining help from the University's and Collages where I live,...it's the Collage Capital of the world,...Boston!,...all of you can do the same,...let the young fight for their rights,..they are at risk of this Disease also,....in all my life,. student's have always been in the front lines,.. demonstrating for any and all worthy cause's,...you!,.. I am sure have seen the same round the world,..this again will take time, we need to get it right,..so hang in,..and keep bring up ideas,....for what I think,.another may have better thoughts,...or thoughts we could use. I believe Nanotransformation were sued for copyright of their name .
They lost everything so I've heard.
I hope this isn't true but I wouldn't be surprised.
I think the real reason they were attacked was because they found a great way to heal themselves and were about to tell the Morgellons Community.

Morgellons Disease

I am pleased to see that in the December 15, 2006, issue, Psychiatric News drew attention to Morgellons disease and that the excellent article gave sound advice on communicating with delusional parasitosis patients. However, I would like to add comments about the distinction between Morgellons disease and delusional parasitosis.

I've evaluated and treated Morgellons patients, spoken with researchers and other clinicians who work with these patients, read the limited literature on the subject, and reviewed a database of 3,000 Morgellons patients. The Morgellons patients I have seen had surprisingly similar symptoms, with an abrupt onset, often following a toxic exposure. Before the onset of their illness, these patients' mental status appeared to be quite representative of the general population, and some (including physicians) were high-functioning professionals. The condition appears more common in nurses, teachers, and in family members in the same household, which suggests a contagious component.

After the onset of the illness, these patients report surprisingly similar symptoms. They have a combination of bizarre dermatological sy mptoms, cognit ive impairments, mood disturbances, and sometimes paranoia and suicide attempts in later stages of the illness.

Their symptoms are not compatible with schizophrenia, bipolar illness, substance abuse, or other recognized causes of delusions. When patients complain of fibers protruding from their skin, examination with a low-power digital microscope can visualize and photograph the presence or absence of these fibers. In addition, many Morgellons patients test positive for Lyme disease. The mental symptoms seen in Morgellons are similar to those of other chronic general medical illnesses with psychiatric manifestations, since the mental symptoms fluctuate in a pattern similar to that of the general medical symptoms; and this suggests that the mental symptoms are probably associated with immune and/or toxic effects upon the brain.

When these patients are treated with modest courses of antibiotics, their dermatological and psychiatric symptoms often show significant improvement. Without a thorough assessment, Morgellons patients are commonly given a diagnosis of delusional parasitosis, resulting in a delay in proper treatment. Whatever Morgellons is, it is something very different and unique and should be considered as a condition needing further study and possibly listed in the next edition of the DSM.

In summary, Morgellons disease and delusional parasitosis are two distinct clinical entities. Morgellons does not appear to be an imaginary or delusional illness and merits the research effort that we see with any other emerging and serious illness.

Dear friend's of the Morgeelons community at MDR,...I would hope all would post exactly your true feelings,..the bickering needs to stop,...and I would be most eager to follow by example,....we all need to keep in mind,...that we all have & are dealing with a deficit because of this Disease,...it has effecting our Nervous Systems,..Body's,...immune system,..most important our Brain function's,..and more,...as was said before,...things change, people lean by mistake,...this is a fact of human nature. ... never have I intended to excluder,. separate,.or step on toes with anything negative,....I simply made mistakes,....so where do we go from here??,..I find it difficult that some here are not willing to help make a differences,....I just don't understand it,....if you see a cat or dog in trouble,..do you just walk by ignoring the plight of that poor animal??,...the C.D.C. again,...is not the Issue,...the Issue is,. we all are still sick,...with many to follow. I'm asking this last time,...if we can not agree on anything,...I feel that I might be more effective somewhere else,..it would be appropriate for all to express their thoughts & feeling,....all should be involved in one way,. & other. I am contacting this Institution to see if M I T Health Science, could and would be of any help in a somewhat new emerging Disease,..Information by other Scientist and facts can be sent via email.,.I have this controversial Disease,.and live close to the MIT facility,...Medical Doctor's have been bound by protocol,. and with out enough understanding of the Disease to treat people with it. The Disease has effected approximately 20,000 household's,..and climbing,.this is not a typical Disease or easy to understand,..this is why I am contacting MIT,...I have great faith in the young mind's,..and this Institution's record,. in the hopes of a better understanding about this Disease. Listen, We don't have the time to screw around with Standard Procedure, of how to get attention and raise funds for yet another unknown medical dilemma
If you want to Raise Awareness, your gonna have to Raise some Hell. The best way I can think of is to, Wear a T-Shirt in a crowd of people that says
I have Morgellons and I MIGHT be Contagious.
Wear it to school, the courthouse, Disney World, you want attention. You'll get it.You might end up on the 6:00 news.
