I find morgellons is worse after sex with my husband and also after having my nails done, acrylic nails

I`ve never had acrylic nails so I can`t say but I `ve had plenty of the other and i would say yes without a doubt. I think my ex is a carrier because I improved dramatically when we went to seperate bedrooms .

I've never used acrylic nails either. As far as sex making it worse - it never did for me(actually I think it made it better). However I haven't dated now for 6 years due to other health problems and then the final realization that this (God forbid) could be contagious. I never in my wildest dreams had considered that and it bums me out to no end when I think of it. Luckily nobody else in my family or that I had dated in the past (at least those that I have seen since) don't have it.

Thanks Bubba for the encouragement. My friends encourage me to date and think I am being over cautious about concerns of being contagious. I figure I can wait - my girls never liked anyone I dated - especially the youngest because I think she wanted me all to herself. Now she is graduating from college on Sunday and has become more independent so there will be time in the future for Mom to go out on dates again. Even if it will be my Bingo partner in the Old Folk's Home!

My husband is healthy and does not have it even though I sleep beside him every night and we continue to be intimate. My two sons (18 and 8years old) are healthy and show no symptoms. Only my daughter (9) and I have it. We both have Lyme disease, too. I think the immune system has a lot to do with the person's succeptibility for the infection. We will figure out a cure and you will have a life again!

Bubba that sounds very key there. It could be that the combination of Lyme disease and the weak immune system leaves your system open to invasion by these critters. Lyme disease must really play a number on the immune system and leave it wide open.

yes, i tend to think too besides lymes and weak immune sytem, the contaminants of morgellons must be around. and an insect vector. at least thats how i believe i became ill. i think roomates were carriers as they had no lesions but all the other symptoms. the contaminants, (the fibers and the specks started with their stay here and their pet bird of thirteen years). she even complained about being bitten the female roomate (by these specks i initially thought were mites).I didnt even get sick until headlice were brought to my home from a child at exes home.regarding acrylic nails, the overlay of acrylic can pop up in places and harbor fungus,and long nails can get stuff under them, particularily if scratch. a suggestion is to keep nails short manicured and polished if like(a pedicure and manicure is a treat) as far as the ahem* ya know, thing........i feel no pain during that time and much better regarding symptoms afterwards. endorphins are a wonderful thing.nice when hubbie visits. (psst the green cumin a bonus in that dept)

I wanted to tell my husband that I thought my symptoms were worse after intimacy but never could get up the courage to do so. He would think that I was blaming him so I just left it alone.

Recently, I purchased the Ionic Detox Foot Spa. My husband is a heavy equipment mechanic and spends many hours per day welding. I could not believe the results from his detox session. His water after the treatment was black and showed heavy signs of metal detox. Interesting to me that he does not have Morgellon symptoms and yet his detox water was 3 times worse than my own. I have had Morgellon's symptoms for 6 years, now. ???

I would also like to note that my symptoms also started while working in the dirt (pulling up poison oak). At the time, I was unaware of the fact that my HVAC system was slowly growing with toxic mold. Add this to Morgellon's symptoms and try not to commit suicide while attempting to concur. Woah, what a challenge it was!!! And physicians.....I don't bother with them anymore. I have no respect for them as they have shown none for me. And I do not mean to classify all of them into the same category but the ones in my area? What a joke!!

stands, i can relate to dealing with "boobs" who think this disease does not exist. i am lucky, in that my doc is very good and treats ones like us. as far as intimacy, ironically i have time free of symtoms. don't know why, perhaps the flow of endorphins (the body's natural painkillers) from the "fun" is why. that and what feels good a welcome relief from the pain the disease causes. also the cumin powder been intaking has not only been helpful for internal cleansing and helps with symptoms of disease, like joint pain appetite,, and lots of other stuff, but has added bonus of being an aphrodisiac (whoo hoo ) so visits with hubbie always nice. but different strokes for different folks, think why things vary for many of us is this disease attacks our weaknesses and why we have different problems. the sex thing, frankly i think this disease WANTS us to be miserable. to be isolated and weak. but there is validity to your argument. i think our body temp gets higher, with "fun" and that disease gets more active, why for you it gets worse. for me, the endorphins and something positive makes the endorphins why suffer less, i guess. may want to cap up in gel caps the equivalent of two tsp of cumin (the cheap type can be found in mexican aisle, used for chilis and curries) will take about four days to get into system. the negative side effects are nil, and would like to know if this cheap therapy as added tool is beneficial for you. it will also help to restore clarity of mind and reduce brain fog and keep you digestive track cleaner, reduce abdominal pain and digestive aid and increase appetite. it really helped me eat, and i am real thankful for that. many do the tea from seeds, but i found that the powder seems to have a higher absorption level. with allo the money we spend, dropping about fifty cents or a dollar a bag is pretty cool to have possible relief. not super tasty by itself why recommend capping. but in ancient rome and bible times was used as medicine. here is a link if need to get gel capsules empty, and have no stores around to get them. may get at healthfood store if able. http://capsuleking.com/ anyway, hope this helps. I can't believe this! YES, I feel 100% worse after sex. My husband always said that he would make me sick. It wasn't that at all, I just felt horrible and would sometimes break out in a rash on my trunk the next day. Acrylic nails? YES! After I get my nails done I have to come straight home because I feel itchy at the lesion site and am incredibly exhausted. I've never even put 2 & 2 together. I wonder why this aggravates them or it? ???
