  1. State you reside in? London, UK
  2. Inner City? Suburb? Country? Outer city/Suburb
  3. Do you live on a lake, by the ocean or pond? Flat overlooks major river, Thames
  4. Do you have city or well water? City
  5. Do you live in a heavily treed area? Several large trees nearby
  6. Age at onset? 46 (my mildly symptomatic daughter 8 years old but does not know she has it)
  7. Number of years affected? Known of symptoms 3 weeks, but possible unknown symptoms several years
  8. Any other family members affected? Yes, my 8 year old daughter definitely (possibly my girlfriend and her three children 5, 9 and 12 - with holidays with their father I have not yet been able to tell)
  9. Your occupation at onset? In training to become ADHD coach
  10. Do you own pets? Cat? Dog? Other? No, but my daughter lives 50% of her time with her mother, 2 cats and 1 dog
  11. Have/had you traveled to California, Florida or Texas? Europe? Other? Two 2-weeks trips to California inc. SF/LA in 95/97. Frequent trips around Boston 98-07, MA, some with daughter. Extensive European travel, daughter visited Cuba 3 years ago.
  12. Do you/have you garden, hike, camp or spend allot of time outdoors? Walk & cycle by river Thames and in local parks some large parks like Richmond park has >1000 deer
  13. List your activities and hobbies: Cycling, movies, computer games, reading, walking and talking, studying, TV
  14. Have you used a public whirlpool or pool? Infrequent use of local swimming pools and holiday pools, my daughter frequently uses local pool
  15. Please provide your medical history (i.e.: do you or have you had any other diseases? Cancer, Lyme, Thyroid, AIDS, other?): Depression 5 years ago, ADHD Inattentive for my lifetime, IBS, being tested for Lymes etc at moment, sure I have Candida for years/decades and am treating at moment
  16. Do you smoke? Smoked cigarettes from 2004-2007, smoked MJ from 2003-early 2008
  17. Any medications you have taken or are taking? Was on Adderall XR 50mg/day until Morgellons symptoms showed. Due to symptoms including major tachycaria and varied BP, I have now stopped. Currently tapering off BP systolic med Guanfacine, from 4mg to now 1mg/day. Previously when depressed on Wellbutrin (Buproprion) and Effexor (Venlafaxine).
  18. Do you drink more than 8 cups of coffee a day? No, 1-2 /day
  19. As far as lesions, have you had more than 10 at a given time? No
  20. What part of your body did the lesions start? Crown of head large, tiny on fingers, forearms and legs
  21. Is there any area that they are most prevalent? If so, where? Was skull, now forehead, nose and arms
  22. Is one side of your body/face more affected than the other (i.e.: left vs. right)? No
  23. Please list your current symptoms (brain fog? vision disturbances? fatigue? nausea? weight loss/gain etc?): I have tachycardia (24 hour-heart monitor starts this week), very varied BP: 160/110 drops to 130/70 in a minute when sitting, veins swell selectively on hands & arms sometimes only in 1 inch sections. Hernia to neck/spine joint, vertabrae 6/7, two months ago, not mending well, have felt movement there. IBS for 4 years, (frequent morning diarrhoea). None of these may be due to Morgellons but then again... Lesions pretty mild and few, often hair movement on head but major lesion there now healed after h2o2/vinegar baths, some thread shedding but much reduced since stopping Adderall and boosting immunity. Declining bad short term memory over last few years. Lower motivation/activation energy too but reasonably fit and have energy once on task - so more likely simply my Inattentive ADHD. Started wearing glasses 18 months ago, moved quickly from 1.0 to 1.5 but this is normal I think. Lots of floaters in vision.
  24. What did other doctors diagnose you with (i.e.: folleculitis? Scabies? DOP - delusional parasitosis)? Went straight to Lyme's specialist (Hily's) who agrees I have Morgellons, awaiting full Lyme's profile. ADHD psychiatrist undecided - waiting on Lyme's doctor. GP indifferent/ignorant but not saying I'm delusional yet but says NHS will not pay for antibiotics even if I have Lyme's!
  25. Vectors: Probably Nits (could have been bird mites), symptoms started at time my daughter had nits, biting feeling and hair movement just wouldn't stop. Adderall (amphetamine) certainly made symptoms much stronger

VERBA1 -
Did you say your intelligence quotient increased??? That has got to be one of the rarest "symptoms" of Morgellons I ever heard! Me, I got stoopid.

Well, there's two sides to the coin. Yes my iq did increase (10pts!) but all was not positive. Basically, now I can describe complex dimensional, geometric, and mathematical concepts, but I can't focus long enough to make it to the kitchen and make lunch. ...and why am i standing in this room?...

Hey Verbal,
This is really interesting. I think most of us have the same situation about walking into another room and when almost arriving, forgetting why. I have to back-track on what I was thinking about before the stroll.

Glad you brought that up, because I have been thinking about it. I think physiologically, these critters, which are in our nervous systems to varying degrees, affect the synaptic connections. They are in our tri-geminal area (ear, nose, throat, eyes, etc.) already and that doesn't help. I only remember some basic Anatomy & Phys. stuff, but I'm thinking whatever is necessary chemically to make the continual connection is not working properly or is otherwise engaged. We can remember other things which are stored into our memories..so they must be in separate 'caverns' and in safe archives compared to new thoughts which don't make it into storage. Hey, something like a computer ey? I'm sure this is all basic knowledge for scientists, but I'm associating all of this with 'diseases' such as Alzheimers which they are finding are caused by parasitic organisms as well. When will the medical industry get real?

short and long term memory are separate systems. so it appears that they are only interrupting short term. I mean, everyone gets stupid. Everyone loses their keys and their wallet (in their house). But I don't think everyone does it 2 and 3 times per day, EVERYDAY. I've always been careless at home with my personal items, but now it's a frikin joke!
