Yes Kritters I've often wondered if it was combination. I never could resolve myself to blaming it on one thing or another for sure.

I can tell you some of my symptoms got better after leaving that house and after getting rid of that dog.

Good for you Tri... same with me. I really had major mold/mildew inhalation problems. I had no idea how dangerous mold could be. But now it's still inside me and has combined with whatever....so my work is ongoing until I get rid of it all.

I live in Ohio, northeast Ohio, Lake Erie is a few miles away. I lived in a
condo where there was a pond in front of the development. I used to walk
my dogs by it sometimes. I have been to Texas, Florida and California and
on Caribbean Cruises.

I do have herpes and I suspect I have had chronic fatigue. I had a terrible
time with anxiety attacks before and after menopause. I now know a lot
of my symptoms involving the feelings I had after eating are attributed to
Morgellons. It started with palpitations, sweats, strang feelings in arms and
hands after eating. Then the feeling of a tickle like an ant running around
my calves while I sat at my desk at work. My condo has mold from leaks
behind the wall and this powdery substance started to form on the carpet
and walls. This is when all hell broke lose. The biting and stinging sensations
like I was being attacked by invisible bugs. I went balistic. I saw doctors,
and more doctors and more doctors. I flew to New Mexico to see a Dr. Schwartz. I went to Scottsdale to see Dr. Amin. I lost 75 pounds and had
all my dental work redone by a hollistic dentist. I moved out of my condo
fast and moved in with my father. I brought my two small dogs with me.
I had brain fog and was suicidal. I tried diamataceous earth, sulfa cream
for mites. You name it I tried it. I had a high paying job that I lost because
I could not keep it together and took a leave for 6 weeks when I flew out
west (my mother also died at the same time). I have read every website and
tried every crazy thing I could. I have now stopped running away from it.
I have a new job that pays half as much money, but I am functioning. If anyone would like to ask me questions feel free. I do not get big sores, just
tiny rashes periodically.

~NO. GASTRITIS, REFLUX, ANOREXIA (HIGH, HIGH STRESS LEVELS)

~NOPE. WELL, AT THAT TIME FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS, I WAS TAKING LITHIUM AND ATTEMPTED SEVERAL ANTIDEPRESSANTS BUT I HAD AN ALLERGIC RXN TO EACH ONE OF THEM THAT I TRIED SO I JUST STAYED WITH THE LITHIUM(ONLY) FOR AN ADDITIONAL MONTH. BY THEN MY SYMPTOMS ALLEVIATED SO I DISCONTINUED. ONCE THE MORGELLONS SET IN, I WAS TAKING TETRACYCLINE (A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER THE OTHER MEDS WERE STOPPED). THE TETRACYCLINE CAUSED THE LESIONS TO SPREAD HEAVILY TO REGIONS OF MY BODY THAT HAD NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN AFFECTED (MY LEGS THE FIRST ATTEMPT. MY BACK, THE SECOND ATTEMPT).

~NO.
19. As far as lesions, have you had more than 10 at a given time?
~OH YES. MUCH MUCH MORE AT TIMES. NOT NOW, JUST A FEW. SOMETIMES JUST 1 OR NONE.

~MY ARMS, FOR A WHILE, IT WAS JUST MY ARMS. LATER, MY LEGS, ECT...
21. Is there any area that they are most prevalent? If so, where?
~THE POPULAR AREA CHANGES. WITHIN THE PAST YEAR, IT HAS GONE FROM MY FACE (MOSTLY JAWLINE) THEN MY NECK. NEXT MY BACK. NOW MY PELVIS AREA (FOR MONTHS NOW, THANKS TO A NEW $40. ELECTRIC SHAVER FROM CVS)
22. Is one side of your body/face more affected than the other (i.e.: left vs. right)?
~ NO, PRETTY EQUAL.
23. Please list your current symptoms (brain fog? vision disturbances? fatigue? nausea? weight loss/gain etc?)
~CURRENTLY, I HAVE HAD WEIGHT GAIN, FIGURED IT WAS AGING. SCHEDULE ANXIETY, FEAR OF GERMS, LOTS OF STOMACH PAIN AND UPSET REGULARLY (EXTREMELY PAINFUL). THIS IS THE THIRD ROUND OF THIS STOMACH THING, I HAVE HAD THIS OFF AND ON OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. STAYS GONE FOR A WHILE AND COMES BACK FOR A WHILE. I HAVE ALSO STARTED HAVING URINARY PAIN (SEVERE). LASTS ABOUT A MONTH, WENT AWAY FOR 2 MONTHS, THEN RETURNED FOR A MONTH. I HAD A LOT OF BLOOD IN MY URINE...WELL, I HAD BRIGHT RED URINE (PAINFUL, EXCRUCIATING). BOTH MY DAUGHTER AND I HAVE RAYNAUD'S SYMPTOMS (A LOT!) JUST MY FINGERS, HER FINGERS AND TOES. I ONLY RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT SHE WAS HAVING THIS, SHE IS 16. SHE SAYS FOR A COUPLE YEARS NOW, ME TOO. WITHIN THIS YEAR, I WAS DRIVING HOME AND BECAME PARALYZED ON THE ENTIRE LEFT SIDE OF MY BODY (COULDN'T TALK, COULDN'T MOVE) FOR 2-3 HOURS. I WAS STUCK IN MY CAR, I PULLED OVER INTO A CHURCH PARKING LOT FOR THE DURATION. IT WAS VERY SIMILAR TO STROKE SYMPTOMS (IDENTICAL). I AM OFTEN BIT MY STRAY STRANDS OF MY HAIR, LOOSE THREADS (STRINGS) AND/OR LINTS. THEY LEAVE MARKS LIKE MOSQUITO BITES WITH RED/PINK, SWOLLEN, ITCHY AREA. STINGS LIKE A MOSQUITO BITE AS WELL, WHEN INITIATED.

~DOP (LATER RETRACTED), SCABIES (W/OUT OBSERVATION), CELLULITIS (ONCE), BI-POLAR (LATER RETRACTED), OCD

Does your daughter live with you, and does she have Morgellons? Do you still work?
You sound like you've gotten quite a bit better....do you know why?
You MUST get a checkup to see if you have a bladder infection! Unchecked, it can lead to kidney infections and then you are in deep trouble.
Drink cranberry juice & corn silk tea, and take Uva Ursi. All three of these help bladder problems.
I see you joined MDR a couple of years ago, but very seldom post. Some people find it easier to cope with this by staying away from the forums or reading about it at all. It takes over your life, anyway, in many respects. I think sometimes staying away from the internet can help (provided you are doing pretty well physically, which you seem to be doing).
Btw - I also have a germ phobia, though I don't use chemical disinfectants.

Yeah SS....I think we all must have germ phobias now, huh? SS...wouldn't you agree that the cranberry juice should be organic and unadulterated?

Hiya Scooter!
It sounds like some of the things you did worked. I'm guessing getting rid of the mercury, etc. and getting away from the mold. It's all probably still in your system, though, but it's great you are functioning. It's probably going to be a long process, but it's great that you have taken these steps. Have you tried chelation therapy? How long did you do the DE?

Oh, we started with a leak, in a rental house from the A/c that created mold. It got really bad pretty quickly. I moved, twice. I changed my environment. Exmpl. no carpet, only smooth fabric furniture, no fluffy/furry stuff, no down...ect, ect.
Changed cleaning habits slightly, rotate the types of cleaners I use.

Actually, my brain fog was so bad that I couldn't remember how to get dressed. I was limited to one thought at a time. I felt like a Kindergartener. That lasted for over a year. I forgot that I joined this forum.

On the contrary, I have spent countless hours, days, months... reading, writing and advocating for Morgellons. I now have about 9 microscopes.. (lol) After my doctor called me and told me it was Morgellon's, I searched day and night for information. At that time there wasn't but about 8 links in a search for it. Prior to that, I was convinced that the problems were from black mold exposure. I still feel like mold/fungus is a large contributing factor.
I spoke with Mary Leitao several times in the beginning, by phone. Channel 8 News was hounding me for an interview @ my home and after contacting the Dallas Observer newspaper, they ran a story and published my letter.
It seems like, the more I learn about this, the more control I feel like I have. My friend is the opposite though, the more she knows, the more she panics
