I didnt realise glucosamine and chondroitin come from shellfish. You could be right!

Now I've latched onto the glowing and multi-coloured patches in my samples, I'm seeing it more and more.

I think that the following ones are bacteria based.

First photo is one of Hovis's shed claws. He shed 3 today, but only this particular one and patch had the multi-colouredness:



Next, I've started getting a small black fly coming off my head. Here's a wing (again, just this patch glowed - nowhere else):



Below: same picture, but lite from above and below:



Notice the debris on its wing. Looks similar to my polygonal shapes in my white blob sample, from my face. Where did he pick them up? From my scalp or in the air?

The glow doesnt seem to correlate to the mineral pieces too good.

The mystery continues....

Sorry Jo must have missed your question,yes I do have things with the black dot on.I have things that have eyes in fact most of them have eyes .Doesn't matter what it is the niaouli livens them up.The best example was what was coughed from lungs-I reckon we could use the blue gas flame all winter.It seemed to upset it no end.AAWWW.

Jo my vet says it is very very unusual for cats to shed their outer claws (sheaths?) Before max died I was finding those all over the house.then he started losing balance,his sight and had a lump come on top of his head followed by walking in circles.That was when vet decided it was a brain tumour and put him down.

Hi Pat, I'd love to see snaps of critters you've coughed up. I fink the more comparrisons we can make the better.

Hovey's shed claws are all splintered - knew it wasnt normal. He gets white morgs all over his coat, as well as the fake hair morgs and then of course digests it, so its no wonder.

Time for his yearly visit to the vets, so I'll question all this and see what they say.

I've found using parcel tape on his coat works great (done gently - dont want the RSPCA round) - all the static, fake hairs and morg specs stick on the tape.
