Default Gazz's Pics

First of all - apologies for the graphic nature of some pics but then I think we're all fairly interested in the subject by now
The link to the pics is :-

http://www.flickr.com/photos/11890183@N05/

What you should see there is a series of pics showing:-

1. Hair follicles in lesions going through a transient state from hair to 'plastic'
2. Black, Red & Blue fibres from lesion 'coverings' - (normally of course, on a 'proper wound' - these would be called 'scabs' )
3. Red,Blue & White/Opaque fibres that were retreived from urine samples after a week of really bad kidney pains.
4. Blue & Red fibres removed from my ears/wax along with a clear sticky fluid.

The pics are numbered with a chronological code that is applied by the scopes software. Although I've had Morgs over 12 years now, you will see that a lot of the pics were taken from this time last year after what seemed to be a massive reaction to a course of Amoxicillin given to knock down the ear infection.

Since this time last year, I now get 'events' triggered approx every couple of months involving a couple of days with Liver pains, High resting heart rate, then almost always ear infection(s) with dizzy spells. - (Just like malaria?)

I've not seen the fibres in my urine since last year, but plan to have a course of Cipro and Fluconazole together - we'll see if that provokes anything !

All for now

Gazz

Gazz,

Those pictures are fantastic! You have a heck of a microscope! My question to you, minus the urine samples shots, are the fibers aparent to you from the lesions/scabs or do you only see them once under the microscope? The pictures make them look so huge and obvious, but I know they must be pretty microscopic.

So you've had this for 12 years? How did you cope when no one really knew about it? I can't imagine trying to go through this without this website as support. It makes such a huge difference. You must have heard it and see it all by now huh? Are you doing better now - has it been leaving your system?

Take care,

Meg

The biggest surprise is always the microscope - it cost me about £20 ($40) last year - ....and its for kids !!

http://www.thedigitalmicroscope.com/

As to getting through life - until September last year (2006) I thought I was the only one in the world with 'Morgs' !

It all began in 1995 whilst abroad and in the middle of a war zone - Sarajevo - so I was concentrating on other matters whilst dealing with this white patchy rash that was now all over my face after 5 days of 'flu'.

Then there was a whole host of other stuff complicating matters (more military/warry stuff - innoc's etc) until in late 2004 when I became diabetic almost overnight and had all kinds of other bizarre symptoms though mainly with my Liver - High Tryglycerides/Cholesterol etc

Then last year 'it' grabbed hold of me big style about September time, the military docs were'nt even interested (controversial = career ending stuff) so I bought the scope and started digging around for answers myself

Has it got worse/better? - it keeps changing form or so it seems - first came the skin rash with lesions & fibres but always the chronic fatigue

Then the lesions seemed to dry up for a while before seemingly being 'provoked' to re-appear by a course of Cipro
This was the time when 'it' also made it as far as my ears, itching and infections and now spells of extreme vertigo.

It was one of these ear infections that prompted the docs to prescribe 02 huge satchets of Amoxicillin - 01 in the morning and 01 in the evening - Ear infection? healed up straight away!

However,

Now in big trouble !! As lesions came back instantly my kidneys/area were hurting like hell - so I test my urine (as was prone to do for diabetes) and see clump of fibres appear in urine stream !! 03 days later - another clump. Kidneys 'heal' - but I still have a dull ache still in right kidney today.

Saw a consultant / scans / urinalysis the lot - but then 6 months down the line ! so now nothing 'apparent' what a surprise! - Not interested in phots, cos guess what? - its all in my head !!

I've finished with the military now and we're still 'talking' - though watch this space, cos I might just end up shouting !

Hi Gazz,
I'm kinda slow. Just found your pictures and the detail is awesome!
Do you just get the fibers or (I call them "widgets") too?
Have you ever had fibers or worms that appear to have a head on each end?
What a nitemare these things are!
How are you doing with your kidneys?
My Dr. doesnt believe me either. Finally figured out how to make sure worms were in my stool samples and took them in. (of course my GP was sick that day) The sub Dr. and lab tech at the clinic both saw the worms.
They sent off my specimens somewhere & just got the results back.... "NEGATIVE".
What must you do to convince them?
I'm sure they think Im getting nuttier by the week!! They've already sent me for a mental exam.......
You have had this a long time, do you know where you got it?
Hope all is going well for you.
wth

Hi Folks - ...and especially WTH, sorry to here of your recent predicament.
To bring you all up to date and answer some of WTH's particular questions
Like 'Do I get the 'widgets' too' ? well I may have done in the past - but things have apparently moved on in my case.
To avoid labouring this post with too much text, it is suffice to say that I can reveal that I was the military guy (Steve Jackson) that Daniel Elkan referred to in his article for the New Scientist magazine. http://www.newscientist.com/channel/...scratched.html The point being I have a very detailed history going back to when I contracted this 'thing' in December 1995 - During the end of the war in Sarjevo, Bosnia. When they were still doing just about anything possible to kill each other off. It came with symptoms of a Flu like illness that was possibly initiated and spread (I believe) through contaminated water.

So yes, there is a real person behind the story. I was serving then and if you can understand, I did'nt want any 'un-wanted' attention, what with coming up to pension time and all that. I have since retired - pension intact! ...But no medical pension mind you, one of the last entries on my medical documents was DoP. All grist-to-the-mill for the future 'argument' though.

Anyhow - Since retiring, I have been able to pursue a personal treatment regime that would quite possibly not have been compatible with my terms of service.
Over the Xmas break I decided to put myself 'in dock' and take the whole cocktail of the 'potions and remedies' that have been mentioned out there - (enough to flatten a mule!) The results of which are so far unfortunately disappointing.

Caution** I am not advocating this to others - This was my own regime and DO NOT necessarily recommend it. Mixing and matching some of these items were my own responsibility and could have been DANGEROUS to health.

2 Weeks of :
Tetracycline (Hostacycline) and Flucloxacillin as a 'warm up'

1 week of :
MMS, CS, Lugols, Fenbendazole, Piperazine, Wormwood, Cloves, Tincture of Black Walnut finished off with a large jug (taken through the day) of Epsom Salts as a Liver Flush.

Then 2 more Weeks of Ciproxin and Fluconazole with occasional anthelmintics.

Still to come: 2 Weeks of Doxycycline and Levofloxin

Results so far: The first thing that became apparent was that I developed a 'productive cough' with fibres now in the sputum. Also, the fibres that I was finding/recovering from my ears seemed to be changing shape - seemingly having a tighter helix - 01 had even managed to tie a knot in itself ! (photo: 20080114_003307)

Conclusion so far? I think this thing is still able to adapt to defend itself. I havn't had any skin lesions appear this time around as a result of exposure to strong antibiotics, however, the 'productive cough' did come out of nowhere and did seem like a reaction. I still have 'brain fog' for which I am sure is involved with the inner ear and gets worse/better cyclically. Chronic fatigue and sleep patterns are still all over the place but then so is the metabolic rate of my so called 'stable type II diabetes'

Updated Pics are still at http://www.flickr.com/photos/11890183@N05/

(Sputum pics are the ones with bubbles in -sorry if thats a little graphic)

All for now - chins up !

Gazz

Hello, Gazz and glad you have joined. Always good to see more Brits on the forum. Happy that so many are joining from the UK.

I, too, admire your excellent photography and hope it will help those who are researching morgellons. Your photos are very clear and show numerous stages of this parasite.

Your story was interesting too, as already mentioned by others. I do hope that soon there will be answers and your retirement then will be filled with days which are not taken up with morgellons treatments. I am sure we all wish to quickly return to what we can have of a normal life.

best, tcm

Hi--I found your post, however it is a year later now and I wondered how you were doing now? I have been trying to beat this for over a year now and had taken some time off from the internet to utilize all my energy on the house, experiments etc. I still am battling energy levels and have almost no motivation to even log on anymore... are you still taking clindamyacin?

P.S. I also have pictures that are much like yours and wondered how you got them copyrighted?
