I can't handle much more of this!
I've been filling out papers the last several weeks and have noticed a single black speck occationally on my hand or fingers. I assumed it was ink as I tryed scrapeing and scrubbing them and they didnt come off.
This morning I put on latex gloves to perform my highly important job.
(professional feline sandbox poop scooper)
and noticed a speck on the new gloves. I could see it was a foreign object as it was raised.
Dang, it stuck like cement on the glove! Finally the dishsoap took it off and I got it under the scope. (what is left of it after the soaping)
The round things in 2nd photo are not air bubbles, they are fibers.
These pictures show the entire thing if put side by side.

WOW WTH! Good pics, very nice. The specks as far as I know, look like a bunch of baby fibers when magnified. They can as I am sure as you know pop out of the skin. I call this "shedding" yes i still have this from time to time. Thanks for sharing your great photos, (LC).

Did you read Seasprite's post (Parasites~A sufferers diary)? I have the same exact fuzzballs they describe which under the microscope usually has a single red/and or blue 'thread' or
'fiber' amongst clear or black fibers. I am amazed to read what I have observed from my own collection written by someone else. (LC, I don't think this is merely shedding, at least from my observation)

I disagree with the author that it is highly contageous, though.

No you are right Kritters enviromet also. I see white fibers in new clothing in walmart, I see it here and there. I was just saying some of it sheds from us once we are infected. I do not think this disease strictly a person to person thing but several factors in most cases. (LC).
