| Has anyone else had these threads, or are they nematocysts '?' shoot at you from your skin? I will brush across a lesion and they fire these at me! Haven't seen this mentioned. See pic. ARE they nematocysts? http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h3...Mvc-007f-5.jpg |

| Yes, one parasite I have seen does just what you are describing. When this first started for me some of the critters were 2-3 inches long and one could easily see them shoot out to catch on to things by doing this. They also hooked together in a long string from deep in muscle.I debate with myself about this. Maybe it could be that this comes from copepods which have been changed somewhat by man by adding silicon to make fish tags for fish--posted about this once with some references. My lips became bright red, swollen, and numb along with intense pain. I believe this mechanism is used to numb small critters or even fish in the ocean (I did catch this from eating fish, so I cannot talk about what anyone else may be experiencing with this, but this is my take on it and why it might happen). I think this is most likely why there are neurotoxic effects from this illness. Also this is probably why morgellons is is so painful for folks, but somehow no one here has to my knowledge described the larger critters I have saw at the beginning. So it is necessary to use a microscope as you have--maybe it was because the ones I was exposed to originally were quite large in the fish itself, don't know. I did not see anything, but then the fish had a sauce on it that day. Maybe to hide the cheap fish that restaurant probably bought. An old herbalist told me that fish parasites hook together and are the hardest to eradicate in the body. best, tcm

| hey TCM, your post made me think.....I had food poisening about 5 years ago I'll never forget and it was from eating fish that had sauce on it. no doubt in my mind either. I'm wondering if the parasite lay dormant for all this time until my immune system compromised by other things (candida for one). I so look forward to when we all find the solution. I think you and Safrey and (sorry forget the new poster who is so informative) are really helping to figure this all out. I'm grateful. Kritts |

| Kritters, Yes, I think this stuff could/does lie dormant in some folks. I am pretty sure I have seen one stage of it which could. I am fairly certain there are differing ways to acquire this, including insect vectors, but there will be one common parasite behind it. I personally feel because of the way it acts in the body, it is not just a virus, fungi or bacteria alone causing symptoms. I think bacteria, viruses and fungi could feed it along with heavy metals, but the main critter I am almost sure will be a parasite. Of course just IMO. best, tcm

| I think Safrey is totally right .someone said that they had never eaten fish or been to beach and thats what I said once . Then i realised that id beem doing laundry for someone who s job was to remove barnacles from the bottom of ships whilst they were in a dry dock.It is all so clear now. How long Dr will take to wake up to it is anyones guess. carla xx |

| Yes, I see it now. The light are dimmed and darkness surrounds the bright screen in the movie theatre. The scene opens upon an underwater coral reef. The opening title of the movie flashes on. "The Fish Connection." As the movie unfolds there will be one of those high speed chase scenes with fish chasing other the fish who are rubbing up against bridge pilings to spread morgellons. Dastardly evil smelling fish. The mystery of what morgellons is will be the major plot of the movie, scientists in labs all over the world discussing theories, until the authorities move in and round up all the fish, who are never to be seen again. An eerie silence descends upon the now emptied waters, which quietly lap against the bridge pilings that we now clearly see are covered with numerous tiny barnacles.
