| I think these 2 pictures will explain why I am certain that the collagen fibers in my skin (Langer's lines) were overdeveloped and could be seen on the surface of my skin. Note how the fibers overlap in the diagram behind the ear. The images in the photo show this same pattern in my skin. My hair was less than an eighth of an inch long, so the images of long lines in my skin are the collagen fibers (my ear is at the bottom of the photo - I took it myself by holding the camera over my head, so it isn't as clear as it could be). The indention in my head running from the top of my ear upward in the picture is a perfect example of a "tension line" that is pulled too tightly in the skin. |
