i pop my dogs bed into the dryer at high heat for about 15-20 minutes, 2 or 3 times week.. this kills bugs, doesnt hurt the dog.
luckly,my dog has shown no symptons, i.e scratching,etc.. shes short hair breed with white belly and shes well groomed by ME, not a groomer.. i use panteene shamoo, same as me.. hope this helps!
