Hella.... I would'nt worry about putting on too much DE.... I take it orally anyway , a large desertspoon mixed in water every morning. I also rub it on any suspicious spots on my face or anywhere. My cat and dog are fine now but I still put DE on their food each day. When they were bad I also put it all over them and rubbed it into their fur. They do look odd all white and powdery and its a bit messy but not bad mess if you know what I mean ! If they lick it, that's fine, just do them more good.
I do hope things are getting better for you... it's so heartbreaking when your pets are ill and you don't know what to do.
BTW, I also use DE for my chickens.. they are fine but just in case. again if I'm at all worried I put it over them and under their wings and sprinkle it all over the nesting box and perching area..... it's GREAT stuff.
Hilly
ps I also put it in the dog and cats ears if they are scratching... works wonders...

I am sorry about your cat. Can you please answer a few question. Was your cat thin, but with a large stomach area? Just trying to figure out how sick your cat was as compared to my cat Ollie.

Did the kitty seem hungry? Like the morgie bugs were eating it or its food. Trying to sleep and just lethargic, seem to be what my cat does.

Sounds like you have a very smart vet. I do not suppose that you live in ;Texas.

I think that my kitty is doing and being the same things as your kitty. I have a feeling that even if we get a good vet, Ollie the kitty will be too far gone to save?! Now Gus the doggie could make it if we found a new vet this month.

I am going to get more aggressive with what I have to treat them. Like try spraying their ears (inside). Also they both seemed glad to be treated for fleas. So, it may be easier to get them to help me, help them.

I hope that your daughter keeps only her fun and happy thoughts of the kitty.

Do you think that DSP cream could be used in my dogs and cats ears? I just got mine in the mail and it is already working on me.

What else besides the enzymes do you put in your animals ears?

Well, I can see that no one has taken my advice (post #2 under this thread) about "bug arrest"... my cats were 15/16 years old when I noticed they were getting sick with "M". They are still alive and are 18 years old now and symptom free. Bug Arrest It's a hell of a lot cheaper than the treatments ya'll are talking about!

Sometimes I wonder why I post here... (I'm pms'ing so sorry if I sound a bit be-auchy).

I have used dsp cream on my black cat's tail when she lost her hair there and it did help! A lot! She was jumping and biting at her tail as if something were biting her. I used the dsp after spraying with the bug arrest, but now I just spray them with BA once in a while. My cats seem to be content and healthy.

itwl,
~jonsi

I have finally received my Bug Arrest by postal. It was a little more $ than the other 2 enzymes. It says to use full strength on the pets and their bedding and to dilute it by 10 more rugs, curtains and such.

I will give this a try for a week or two. Thanks for the advice.

Sorry to be so late in replying to your post. I am chicken and still have not given My pets DE. I think I will try it on my self, 1st.

You said I could put DE in their fur and mix some in their food? Also I read that you can put it in their ears. I just need to pick their worse thing and use DE on just one.

Will hopefully have some good news on my furry babies, next time I "find" your post.

Thanks, Hella

Hellalone... My dog is my baby, so when I came down with this, I got really scared and did everything I could to be sure my dog did not come down with this.. I did give her DE by mixing it with wet food and also then mixing in her dry food. She loved it, but she ended up gaining weight... It did not hurt her in the least bit. I also would rub DE in her fur, being careful so she would not inhale it. I would not put it in her ears.. but I found some natural ear oil made just for dogs with tea tree oil in it. She hated it, but I felt safe using it because it was designed for dogs. When my panic was over, I realized that she was going to be ok, and have since stopped giving her DE. I still watch for signs, but feel that my skin has improved quite a bit and I'm no longer worried about passing this on...

Default Doxycycline for cats and dogs

Help!

Does anyone know where I can order some doxycyline for my dog? Without a prescription? Both the cat and the dog had the morgellons "type" tests. The new vet said only the cat had it and prescribed 2 weeks for him. So, I need to order some for the dog because I know he has it also. The test just did not work right.

Please either reply here or pm me. I believe someone in the past told us about a pet med place that did not require prescriptions.

Thanks, Hella
