| Wonder what's happening, Pat? humm......probably a glitch. Did you happen to go through the entire link I posted to you that named all the diseases birds get and what to give them (besides the one on sodium bicarb?) It was an extensive bit of information and I would think a handy reference based on symptoms. Amazing how the chicks (and other animals for that matter) get the same diseases as humans! I mean, I know the pathogens are the same, and the organisms, but I never realized they were called the same thing, you know? Makes me feel like..........some animal LOL!!! I hope it works for them...poor little things. Interesting how most bird diseases really do a number on the youngest chicks. No immune system. xo Kritts |

| Yes Kritts I did read it but didn't print it out.If you really looked into chick diseases you would be amazed at the number of things they suffer from.In fact there are so many it would make anyone sane consider having them in the first place!! Yes it's usually the youngsters it takes out first-although I'm not a chick more like an old broiler and the bloody morgs got me!!! Very annoyed at having lost the replies on here.

| Hi Pat, Sorry to hear about the Mareks disease on your chicks. Weird that its herpes. Could the vet do anything? Thanks for doing that post for me - sorry it was a challenge for ya ;o) Jo xxx |

| Hi Jo- no vet can't do anything for Mareks.Apparently it kills more hens than any other disease, but must say I've never had it here before. Then again given the amount of toxic green everywhere its hardly surprising. My idea on this is that some academic idiots in a lab somewhere took something-fungus or whatever and mixed in a few viruses -herpes for one then threw in some mycoplasma,a few unheard of worms a bit of boron,a bit of aspergillosis and a few other whatevers, attached it to those spider like webs they are fond of using(which cover my garden) and launched it on the unsuspecting public.Thats why its so multi faceted:and no way nature did it. Don't worry about the challenge LOL.Its just I can stick things on copy but if I set up the page here and try to paste -paste is blanked out, which I dont understand but there ya go.But then only started using a pc 4 yrs ago and no one ever showed me how.I learnt it all my self, still managed to buy the world on ebay though, lol.I did buy one of those books for old age pensioners but its useless.Their pics are totally different to whats on my windows so obviously my pc is different to everyone elses. All very confusing-specially with the brain fog.
