Default How long, how obsessive?

So in the beginning, I went through my entire house and cleaned like there was no tomorrow, top to bottom, almost every day. Laundry, washed everything with superhot water, borax, ammonia (now pinesol) or bleach, dried on superhot, washed bedding every day, clothes daily and sealed in plastic bags, etc. etc.

Now I have relaxed a bit. Still wash clothes every day and use plastic bags, but I now have the huge ziplocks and store them in the dresser drawer in these. Sheets are washed twice a week, vacuum twice or three times a week unless there's been a lot of animal activity like cat/dogs running amok, etc. etc. I haven't really seen any worsening of symptoms since loosening up a bit. Just curious, is everyone still as vigilant as in the beginning? If not, has anyone suffered ill-effects?

I went crazy with cleaning for the first year or so. Now I clean as I did before M. Once a week for most of the house. I have a very large area to clean and it is time cosuming and tiring, so I had to relax a bit. . I haven't noticed any difference in my symptoms. They come and go just the same. DD

I was laundry everyday, but I had to do that before. I alternate loads with the cleaner of which we do not speak. I vacuum all the floors every day. That's my obsession. I clean the bathtub after every bath, because my daughter uses it. Seventh generation pine type cleaner or sal suds, works for me. I wash surfaces every day or the lint piles up.

I "dust" with my vacuum every other day. It's easier to clean nick nacks and photo frames this way.

I don't bag my laundry anymore. I don't use space bags, either. I just wiped down my drawers and put my clothes away.

I'd like to do more but I'm either herxing or tired.

My husband and teenagers are not infected, so I've given up on some things. They won't follow any protocol I develop. I've tried.

Default lost cause

I hear you. Although my husband will SOMETIMES bag his dirty laundry, other times he just throws it on a pile in the basement. He will work outside in the dirt and leaves, play with the dogs, hug them roughhouse with them, and come in and sit down, open a beer, and drink it with one hand on a dog. He will vacuum for me (which I appreciate), but basically spray all of the air around using the vacuum for the car or the shopvac, which reinfects everything. Like he did yesterday, leaving me scratching all night. I don't say anything, as he is trying to help, and I appreciate it. I can only do so much, and the rest is up to Providence, as I am fighting a losing battle with this issue. I wash my own clothes seperately.

Although at a higher level I am feeling stronger with eating more, in some ways, I feel like some things have gotten worse, like my ears and eyes. I also have some issues with more itching and some rashes that I didn't have when eating strictly vegetarian. The difference now is that I no longer panic, but have developed a resigned attitude toward some things.

Here you have a man and a family, they get dirty, they play with dogs, they dig in the bug infsted enviroment, DIRT DIRT is not the problem or they would all be dying RIGHT, get this strait, we have a issue inside us.

If they have had sex with any of us they have the issue also, if they were born when we had this they also have this, then some people are not affected as soon or as bad, some may seem perfect and then develope Lou Gerrigs disease, fibramialga, kidney problems, brain lesions, or who knows what else.

If you look for issues and stop imagining everything as normal you will see their involvment, maybe females are more prone to the bad effects, then maybe not, who knows, the disease is sort of like HIV, it has symptom disease up the kazoo.

Default symptoms

No, you're right, BO. I can see the symptoms in him, but he doesn't, obviously, and just doesn't think it's anything but age-related hair thinning, itchy scalp from the dry cold air, same with hands and skin, doesn't ever admit he has brain fog, although he doesn't remember anything anymore. I'm actually sharper than he is these days!

My neighbor came over yesterday, and she had been complaining about this burning. tingling in her lower legs keeping her awake at night. I thought, uh oh... that was a couple of weeks ago. Last night, she said she still had it, and the Celebrex her Dr. prescribed gave her hives, so she's doing aloe vera wraps, elevating the legs, etc. All this said while she was scratching her scalp, her back, her face, etc. Now mind you, I do not have the itching effect on others anymore right now, so it wasn't me, and my husband wasn't itching either. She told me that she "can't hold it" anymore either, which is another sign, and that her allergies are much worse lately. Her memory is going, she's constantly tired, etc. etc. She has always had a glow about her, and she is now pale and pasty, and has put on some kind of puffy weight. I can see it's just a matter of time before those legs get worse and other symptoms begin to show.

I was looking back and almost missing the days when I thought my symptoms were just attributed to "something else". Ignorance was bliss, in many ways...

Default Thinking you made others itch, imagine more have this

This idea that you have made others itch is kinda wrong, imagine this, people start to itch because THEY also have this.

I mean even the worst of us will control our itching in public, or we will try/

When you have people sit down and they just walked in and they start itching why would you imagine that you made them itch.

If you ask them say this, I have seen you scratching alot lately, you may be allergic to somthing and then , then they will say, now get this, I MUST HAVE BEEN BITTEN BY A BUG!!!

Or they will explain to you that they have been itching like crazy lately.

Any Laundry tips?

---- recently (again since beginning) -- I am experiencing cocoon things attached to my clothes and having trouble eliminating them.

For a while, it was fine, but now, it returned.

I am thinking it's because of the new "fibers" they use to make our clothes and all the chemicals/fire retardants.

New blankiets/houserobes will have moving fibers (not on me), but they transfer.

I use the plastic bags.

Anything to add to the Laundry besides Borax?

Thanks.

Default peroxide for bleach, cold wash

After reading about peroxide type bleaches we ditched chlorine products. since peroxide type bleach uses oxygen, which oxides pathogens and parasites, that's what I use. Those always work best in cold water wash, which has been working for me. I like borax too.

I launder towels within 24 hours and change sheets twice a week. we separate out all freshly laundered items from soiled items.

household items are now cleaned with nontoxic products only. After reading about how fumes can poison us we changed to biodegradable, nonallergenic, nontoxic cleaning products. we generally removed all toxic solvents and things which can outgas from the home and put them in the garage for storage. considering that the immune system has to be working a lot against M problems I want it freed up to do so, not working to clear my system of toxic household products.

we're diligent about good hygeine but not obsessive about laundry or cleaning. we deep clean twice per year.

Default cocoons

If you look at some recent postings by Pollyringworm, she has been battling the cocoon-like things and small, flying insects for sometime. Recently has been having significant success in treating the environment with Nylar.

I use Pinesol or 8.75% pineoil cleaner in the wash along with Borax, and use detergents that contain oxygenated boosters.

I also change sheets every three days, pillowcase every day, and launder my towel every day. Never wear any garment more than once without washing.

Now that Spring has arrived, I have begun spraying with enzyme cleaner and flea spray in an effort to avoid some of the painful experiences of last year that led to this whole thing.

Clean regularly and thoroughly, and I also put mothballs in the vacuum cleaner bags.
