| Recently there seems to be huge amount of fibre floating in the air at my house and fibre also appearing on our clothing even after washing. Would adding chloroxylenol to laundry helps to kill these germs ? I read from some postings re Borax. Can borax kill the germs? I'm not sure where to buy borax as I can't find in my local supermarket. |

| Yes I tried many things nothing works , how can u remove something that floats in the air24/7... google smart dust on you tube and u will see why....... I laugh when hearing ppl using gadgets to "purify the air" is that really possible??? to pull them all out from the atmosphere and to stop them from penetrating houses???? they r everywhere......... yet seems that some houses have them less due to electromagnetic fields relation to the position of the house etc/////////my house attracts it very bad each time I buy a new shirt within few days it is going to be destroyed so I gave up >I wish I could move out of this place I USED TO SOAK CLOTHES OVER NIGHT IN ORDINARY SALT AS I SAW SOME ON THIS FORUM SUGGESTED IT BUT THAT LASTS TEMPORARILY Last edited by Dzana; October 6th, 2010 at 08:29 AM. |

| Dettol is unlikely to dissolve the fibres. I say this because they are quite heat resistant and not dissolvable in lab-type solvents or detergents - to date (according to Dr Wymore). Bounce dryer sheets help, also conditioner in washing machine (to reduce static). The fibres will reduce over time, as your skin releases less and less of them. So treating YOU is key to this. These fibres may irritate you and others, but they are not considered to be organisms...so not parasites...(again according to Wymore, Stricker et al) Hope this helps! Jo |

| from Wikipedia... Dettol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Dettol From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaJump to: navigation, search Glass bottle of DettolDettol Antiseptic Liquid Disinfectant is the name of commercial liquid and solid antiseptic products belonging to a household product line manufactured by Reckitt Benckiser. The traditional liquid product is a light yellow colour, but becomes milky white when diluted in water. This diluted mixture can be used to clean cuts etc. The active ingredient which defines its unique antiseptic property is an aromatic chemical compound known as chloroxylenol (C8H9ClO). This makes up 4.8% of Dettol's total mixture,[1][2] with the rest composed of pine oil, isopropanol, castor oil soap, caramel, and water. Because several of the ingredients are insoluble in water, Dettol produces a white emulsion of oil droplets when diluted during use. Sounds as if it may ruin clothing??? Diluted Dettol can also be used to treat acne in small quantities, but it must not come into contact with eyes, mouth, or nasal passage.[3] Its topical application is a remedy for boils (skin abscess).[citation needed] Like other household cleaners, Dettol is poisonous and should not be ingested. In an extreme case, a forty-two-year-old English man died from Dettol overexposure in May 2007.[4] The company ran a controversial advertising campaign where it claimed that your toilet seat was cleaner than kitchen work surfaces. It was forced to withdraw the campaign. Sounds as if it may also permeate your clothing and possibly cause a bad reaction and should NOT be slathered on the body as a topically treatment. wiki also has an entry called... "P-Chloro-Meta-Xylenol-induced contact dermatitis" which redirects the reader to Contact Dermatitis. P-Chloro-Meta-Xylenol-induced contact dermatitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I was interested in this because of laundry issues but also the word xylenol set off an alarm in my mind. Xylene is very, very toxic and I wonder if the two are chemically related. xib ps... I have had some luck using powder detergent with enzymes (read the label), some brands include Tide, Sun and the oxy additives sold seperately... along with borax, or salts. I agree with Jo about it letting up as you begin treating yourself. Last edited by xiblanque; October 6th, 2010 at 06:55 PM. |

| My personal observation regarding silicone fibers is that they wont be reduced they r in the air 24/7 they attach onto my skin whether i m in my house or outside in the bank etc etc ( so they attach onto me as well they attach onto other surfaces open the windows they pour in .... it is not me producing environmental fibers and infesting shops and banks etc i placed t shirt outside one day so same thing so i realised hey it is not me infesting my garden or wot ?????? not every thing I have in the house is magnetic yet these fibers attach onto it whether is clothes or anything else the way i deal with this i buy every week new shirt, new pair of sock etc cos nothing else works i simply cant get rid of it Last edited by Dzana; October 6th, 2010 at 07:13 PM. |

| 20 Mule Team Borax. Ask someone in your grocery store to show you where it is! It should be on the same aisle as laundry detergent. I add a big scoop to every load of laundry I wash. When I was really sick I would spray my clothes with eco-vie (which is no longer available?) or bug-arrest and store my clean clothes in air tight plastic bags until I wore them. Bug Arrest and Eco-vie are non-toxic natural enzymes. I also spray my carpets, walls, vehicle, cats, dogs, children, feet, shoes, work place etc... with the enzymes. Call you local pet store to see is they sell Bug Arrest I know I am repeating myself again... In the white light, ~jonsi

| I found the eco-vie website is now active again. They are up in Canada, so you may have to call to see if the eco-vie can be shipped to the US. I have not found another seller on the internet, at least not so far. I imagine it could be expensive as far as shipping costs. I had two bottles which I have rationed by using only as a spray on lesions (I no longer use it in baths). I used to order this product from Gene's Natural products. I do not believe he stocks eco-vie now nor does he carry DSP cream from Mark in Germany any longer. In fact what he carries to treat morgellons this days has been greatly reduced. It's too bad he does not stock the eco-vie as he is in the US. Although the eco-vie does smell pretty awful it is more effective for me than bug arrest. I still have an unopened bottle. | Enzymes are key environmentally, restoring our immune systems is essential. No advert intended.. this is what has helped me. Safe Solutions sustainable living, nontoxic pest control, natural home care, organic gardening, holistic health and green housekeeping environmentally-friendly products NOT SELLING ANYTHING They sell a cleaner called tweetmint, like drops of gold, use sparingly! Add it with another enzyme cleaner in a spray bottle and clean and squirt your dryer before putting clothes in and while they are tossing. Kat also recommended Lysol for the dryer and the filter, great catch. HOWEVER.. for those of you who cannot access this stuff... put peppermint oil in a diluted solution and spray your dryer and clothes while drying. There are recipes on line for making your own enzyme cleaners. Don't ask me why, I don't know but peppermint (like Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Hemp Soap) help with cleaning and laundry issues. Jo is right... the itchy buggy stuff drops off as you heal yourself. DETOX. No GMO's, organic only and concentrate on your gut. Probiotics are terrific. Correct your immune system, no poisons in your environment. Go organic. Huge. Hope this helps and God Bless. |

| Lamb, what dilution ratio do you think for peppermint in the dryer? I used Dr. Bronner's for the first few months and my clothes didn't seem to get clean, even with a vinegar pre-soak. Until I figured out how to decrease the oily external film, it transferred to my clothes and eventually caused an odor. Only laundry detergent seemed to remove it completely. |

| I have a little squirt bottle 8 oz, mix 1/16th tweetmint to fill w/ enzyme cleaner, I vacuum my dryer door, lint trap and the inside of the dryer lint trap (front loader...hate them!). Wipe all down with a clorox wipe... or whatever generic you like, vacuum the filter again. I know this sounds nutty..... but it works for me. I then spray the dryer vent, filter with the spray bottle and with lysol...Thanks Katinka! .I wipe up the floor and vacuum hose with disinfectant wipes. Put the load in the dryer and spray the clothes w/ tweet spray and lysol. Keep the wipes in a sealed bag till full and wash the clothes in DR. Bronner's peppermint hemp soap + oxo brite... the organic equivalent of Oxy Clean. I know this sounds nutty and it's a lot of work but I have a family to protect and so far it's been successful. My laundry room is like a white room in a Chem Lab but if you can't do that.. carry the enzymes and peppermint with you at all times in a small bottle. I have been known to spray it on my skin when desperate and it works eventually (3-10 minutes) Best of luck and best wishes. Sorry this is so rambling.. had flu all week but felt I must respond with my own craziness. |
