Default Wall and ceiling "FUZZ"

I kept noticing that micro-fibreous wall/ceiling cobweb showing up in places around my bedroom, and bathroom,,,,and also noticed that there was alot you couldnt see until you went to cleaning it off,,then it became visible..
Alot of this goes unnoticed,,and I am trying to keep it down to a minimum,,because it is made of morg fibre.(I mic.scoped some out and it IS growing morg fibre)
I am thinking it is a type of protien based mycellium (could be something else,,I don"t know for sure, and am making no claims),,,Only because milk is the only thing I have found that dissolves it all,,most likely because of enzymes.
I havent tried any other enzyme cleaner yet,,,but will in near future..

Anyway I noticed how hard it is to detect, with the naked eye...
So,,,I devised a way to detect/see this stuff..
I took a spray bottle with the screw adjustment nozzle kind,,,,,filled it up about halfway, with water,,,then added some white latex paint (around 50/50%).I have white walls.ceilings...
I took a piece of cardboard and used as an overspray "catch",,,held it underneath the bottle and FINE misted the walls/corners/ceiling.
I was able to find a bunch of this thin growing stuff ,,that otherwise ,,I wouldnt have been able to see.
Now I can see this stuff easy!!!
Use the color of paint your walls/ceilings are.

Have ya ever walked through your house and swore you just ran into a single strand of spiderweb,,like across you face or arm?? then have a stinging/itching sensation afterwards?
If the answer is yes,,,well YOU DID!!,,,,,I have found that this fungus amungus does just that..
It is not spiderweb either,,,not on the ceiling..it is a separate entity..
For some reason,, sometimes the (fungus?) will "throw out " a single fine strand,(when on ceiling),which will grow until it either finds an attachment point,,OR it will hang around until someone/something bumps into it.
I think this serves a dual purpose,,,use as an anchor point for further growth,,or to find a host, which would make it an ""oportunistic parasite""
The fine long strands usually have a white dot on the end,,while hanging freely. They are almost invisible,,and can occur anywhere from the ceiling,,where there is growth.
I mic-scoped the white dot and found it to be a coil of morg fibre.
From its base it goes >>>thin strand>>white coil(larger diam. than strand)>>>then an even thinner strand of fiber after the white coil.
Both strands have the ability to grow in length at will.
This can be a means of constant re-infection/exposure..by running into these,,,bare skinned...
Keep your eyes peeled around lamps and windows,,you can see this behaviour more easily....

Hi Hurtin1,

Most likely a mold. Have you thought about buying one of those mold test kits at Home Depot or Lowes? It cost 30.00 dollars to have identified and be patient it took mine 10 days to get to the lab although I do live in Southern California and it took them another 7 business days to identify and email me the results. I can pm them to you if interested.

I believe mold likes latex paint though so you may want to discontinue spraying it with that. Look up mold and the causes. The most important thing you can do is get control of any humidity problems in your home whether it is from leaks, foundation, incorrect sloping away from your fondation of water, or condensation etc.

Mine came back Aspergillus, and Cladosporium. They both can affect us in many ways.

No,,this is morg mold,,,,all made of growing morg fibres,,,YES it multiplies...
This isnt ordinary mold a test kit will detect..
I am not talking about BLACK mold either....
This is made of the white/clear fibres,,,that is why it is hard to see...
It loves any kind of overhang,,like tops of door jams,,arched wall dividers,,and especially where the wall meets the cieling, and corners...

Well all sorts of mold can have white/clear fibers...I believe there is a wood eating fungus that does. But you won't know if you don't test. Unless of course you have already tried. Many of these can also cause skin lesions.

Have you researched Iodine? I will dig further into it. I know I remember reading something about this a while ago. Not sure if what they refered to as white iodine would work but it would be best choice for not staining surfaces. Are you thinking Amoeba?

Hurtin,

You might wanna check out water mold Pythium aphanidermatum and also Rhizoctonia sp. as suspects for the white fuzz.

Default I need help for this too

I thought I had already posted about it but I looked and only 1 page so far.

My house has this all over. So does our garage. My car is the only one kept in garage and there is tons out there. SoI figure for about 5-6 years I have been blowing this at me via heat or A/C depending upon what time of year it was.

I HATE using my car!! When I have to use it I always put a large plastic bag where I sit and always have a bottle of some spray to keep wetting down the floor and whatever else. I never want to use it but at times have to.

Our basement has this stuff hanging from the steps. It is awful. Our water stinks of sulphur and has so much iron it makes me sick to wash with it. I am so afraid of my own home that others would think it ridiculous. To me it is a serious issue of my life.

If I did not have my Faith in God I don't know if I'd be alive any longer.
