Catchi - That sounds awful! I hope you use extra covers for your pillows. I would suggest first a zippered plastic cover, then a zippered cloth cover, then your pillow case. Wash the two outer covers - but I don't recommend bleach. Instead, use something like OxyClean (a bleach alternative) as well as washing soda, and an enzyme-based laundry detergent (like 7th generation). Wipe down the plastic cover with some kind of enzyme cleaner, like Ecovie. You can also use Ecovie directly on your face. SS

I don't have the lesions, but I still have weird skin problems, like eczema and what looks like a dermatitis and rashes. My doc believes it is possible that I am suffering from food intolerances as well as chemical sensitivities. She wants me to ONLY wash my clothes in baking soda and not detergent or borax. The baking soda should kill any fungus, and if you use the enzymes(eco vie), that should help with anything else. Do not use bleach, and also consider not using detergent and just use baking soda and the maybe spray with the enzymes and see if it helps your skin.

I do use oxy clean sometimes bakiin soda but not familiar with the ecovite and hadn't thought of the fungus issue in the material but I have tried in the liquid soap face wash when I tried the stahacite(ms) ointment but, why would bleach not be good? Is it an irritant more than an eradicator? thanks

I've been reading about the benefits of bamboo linens, even bamboo mattresses. Bamboo Sheets Keep Germs Out of Bed : TreeHugger Just one example - google it. Reportedly, bamboo fabric is naturaly antibacterial and antifungal. In its growing stages, it has few insect pests and so insecticides are not necessary. I am going to get some bedding; even considering a mattress (if I can swing it). SS
