I am pleased to see that many new arrivals are here posting on MDR and looking for the truth and some support with their health issues. Many have been so alone with this disease and have not known where to turn.I hope they find what they need to help go forward from here. They are so welcome and also bring with them a wealth of knowledge and fresh ideas. On the other hand it shows that many many more are suffering from this nightmare and that many more will be coming here.I pray that none are turned off to our approach to this dilemma and to the way that we approach new arrivals. The larger our group the more power that we gain in a political sense.Soon no one will be able to deny our pain and suffering as self inflicted.

Thank you scabdraggr, I have been feeling alone for most of a decade doing my own research. Without the bad press this week, it may have been more years before I read about M. In that way, some good came of the negative publicity. Prior to this week I have mostly thought I have some form of Cutaneous Leishmaniasis, except that CL supposedly "self-heals" in a little over a year, or less. My lesions have continued in rounds chronically for 8 years, with no time where I have not had several lesions at once. I'm still not sure exactly what I have, but it nice to find a group where I can find information and openly discuss issues about this "thing". There are many more of us out there suffering in silence. Thank you to the whole group for being here. ItchIn Last edited by ItchInTex; January 27th, 2012 at 02:08 PM. Reason: typo

Well said scabdagger - united we stand divided we stand alone. Newbies will be encouraged by your wise words. Please continue the good work. I certainly read everything with interest. We must find ways to help each other more and gain all the knowledge we can. Every one of us has been helped in one way or another by different people on this board. It is the sharing of this knowledge and the support that is here that can really make a difference with this disease. To all the newbies I say take heart and know the good people here will always have answers that can help us through, and let us all pray the medical profession will take heed of our dilemna soon. Slovenia - yes could you please tell us what was prescribed for you. Many thanks. Cayly x

Yes. If I can make it to a conference, then I'd be happy to meet you and any other members from this forum who might be attending.
