| Pinesol disenfectant can be a major weapon against M residual material that's alive provided that an allergy doesn't occur. Not all pine disenfectant is created equal as was pointed out, all pine oil doesn't ome from the same trees. The stuff that works is Texize brand pine-sol as it comes from the southern spruce trees that are often referred to as nature's pharacy. Here in the se US,we see the ants here, take into their colonies to prevent disease and certain molds. It can protect certain molds for some species of ants that live off a specific mold as it's their food source. One of the flies that I've been observing due to it's lnk to Morgellons is the fruit fly drosophilia melangaster, orthocladinae.I even found one ready to emerge from it's shell that was inside a lesion on my hand.I sent it to my friend at infectious disease and pathology that has a fellow alumni who is an entomologist.Concerns have been raised about it's role in this disease as many have reported it's presence with M sufferers. These are such good and productive posts that have been coming in this week. Please let's keep up the goodwork! Here are some pics of our little friend from the lesion. |

| Are these photos from a leishmania lesion? Which is what I am discussing here, not an M lesion. We cannot assume M is leishmaniasis without tests which show it is common among us. Nor is there any proof that any serious parasite disease which may be internal will improve from using just topical treatments, including pine oil or pine-sol. What other ingredients are in the pine-sol you are discussing? Is that revealed on the label? quote=scabdraggr;88848]Pinesol disenfectant can be a major weapon against M residual material that's alive provided that an allergy doesn't occur. | Well, scab, I doubt seriously I am on the wrong thread when considering where this service person has served and what s/he may have been exposed to over there while serving the country. Symptoms were noticed by this person right after the first time in the Middle East. There are reports coming out about leishmaniasis infections among some who have served in the Middle East countries. That is why I posted the link for this service person to check out all the diseases being found in members by theater of operation alphabetically. There is no way to say that this is Morgellons just because it is a skin condition...and unless we see a photo of what that person's skin looks like there is no way for you to assume it is Morgellons (and even then there would be some question). It is more likely, due to the area in which the person served not once but twice, to be some type of leishmania infection though I am sure there are other diseases to which a service person could be exposed which may cause skin issues too. Morgellons lesions do not leave hard large purple like scars behind. Rather most Morgellons residual scars are described as being hypopigmented. Someone who has been in the service in this area and has a skin condition such as is being described would do well to ask for adequate parasite testing for the type of leishmaniasis to which this person may have been exposed more than once. Often diagnosis for that disease is made on a description and history of symptoms as well as testing since parasite testing available may miss some cases. BTW the leishmania parasite can produce a type of fiber in the wound itself according to some research I have found. So testing would be my advice. Frankly I think we would all do well to rule out some of the other parasite conditions which may cause skin lesions, but I am fairly sure this will not happen anytime soon for many of us. Morgellons is the last skin condition I would consider if I had been in service in the Middle East or any other tropical country while Morgellons would be thought about only if nothing else had been found. />quote=scabdraggr;88855]You're on the wrong thread, not me.[/quote]

I can say, though, I've had zero luck with the military clinic for well known illnesses, let alone anything out of the ordinary. Did you have this during your demob medical briefings? |

That is clearly an insect. Look at the hair on the arms. This came from your hands? I'm still thinking these insects are attracted to us because of biofilm. Collembola have been found on many m sufferers, and they are first on scene to help with decomposition after death. These things must think we are close to death. Some m sufferers mention a smell, too. |

| You have a leishmaniasis thread going and this one started with the servicemans inquiry about treating symptoms and gaining info about this disease.I did my best to carry on with this conversation and to give some light on his inquiry. Also,I am seeing a possible connection to leishmaniasis, morgellons, fruit flies and sand flies. This all pertains to the criteria in his paragraph and I was doing my best to tie everything together. If I provided confusion instead of clarity then please point it out to me as I try to get it right, once in a while. | I served in the military during the first Gulf War but never deployed. My husband served during both Gulf Wars and deployed many times. I got sick 6 yrs ago after having a back adjustment (which I think opened the blood vessels to some dormant infection) but at the same time, my husband had just come home from a deployment. When I was in the military, I lived in the dorms and many of my dorm-mates deployed to the Gulf. Many of them also brought home sand in jars and we would all sit around playing with it. At the time, their gear, clothing, etc... were not disinfected and most of it was very sandy. I remember after my roommate came back, I complained about the sand everywhere and in everything. It never dawned on me that my illness could have been caused by the first Gulf War until recently. I have tested positive for Leishmania and am now trying to get the CDC or the VA to test me with their tests to confirm it. Leishmania explains all of the symptoms that I have been experiencing since the back adjustment 6 yrs ago. I highly suggest anyone who has been in the military or has been around the military to get tested if they can. From what I have read, it can stay dormant for years before it shows it's ugly head. Unfortunately, it's not a test that is done by a regular lab, which makes it hard to get the testing. Although I have now discovered that I have many other infections going on, I believe that the Leishmania is the main culprit which has lowered my immune system thus inviting other pathogens to join the party. I agree with TCM. If you are military or a spouse, even if you didn't deploy, get tested. They say that it's not sexually transmitted (because they don't want to cause widespread panic?) but their has been a confirmed case where a spouse and children tested positive. The spouse died at age 43 and the husband is trying to fight the government for neglect. |

| I have been seeing random gnat flies or well not totally sure on the specific fly.... its really annoying I have killed like 10 maybe more since I got M and that has only been like 2 months with symptoms. I also see random ants crawling around my room and house.... its annoying and creepy. What do you think the connection is between Morgellons and these insects? Are they laying eggs in our skin? Does the "M" life form create this insects? Are they attracted to our scent? ------------------------ I am very interested in finding out and I would like to get involved in some kind of lab as well. I just got my undergraduate in English... maybe I should get my Grad degree in science. ------------------------ Scab have you tried F-6 or F-8? Or Monofoil? I have heard good things about both those products but they are """Expensive"""". |

| Save your money and your enviroment is the true lab.Get to work in it and if you need a pointer just say so.I need you to gather one or two of the flies and either send them to me or view with an ocular mscope and see if the eyes are like the one in my post from a few days ago.Fruit flies, drosophilia melangaster. Please email me soon as I have a project for you if interested. |
