| Blame it on the internet Over 75% of our cases reported onset of their symptoms during or after 2002, but the epidemiologic importance of this is unclear as it also corresponds to the time when Internet postings related to this condition began to surface. | ...... So that's it? -Most lesions are self inflicted... ---(No way) -Most are on pain meds--- (Hmmm I wonder why, maybe because the doctors either prescribe pain meds or psycho drugs) ----------------- This is a bunch of BULL I have never done a hard drug in my life. I ran D1 college a few months ago so I am/was- Healthy. (Where are the people who got studied)? |

| I just read this information that I found rather interesting, though I am sure others have read it as well... NIH Website Lists Chromosome Responsible as 1q42 ----------------------- Has anyone here had any Genetic type testing done? |

| Hi guys, According to this article the CDC study actually only tested about 40 people. This is so far the only place I've seen this mentioned. Most reports are leading people to believe that this was a large, comprehensive undertaking. Sure doesn't seem to be much to it,nothing to explain the big delay and certainly nothing anyone here hasn't known for what seems like ages of suffering. Federal study of Morgellons yields no answers - CBS News |

| By your posts, I can't even get myself to read it. Why spoil my day and get upset. To me it means there has got to be a cover-up. There are just too many people who have this. I did skim the article and noticed they mentioned 'cellulose like in cotton'. As a sufferer myself, and all I have learned in 3 years, this just validates that cotton is infected. This is a sad day in the M world only if we let it be. We need to keep pushing on for ourselves and future generations. We know it is real. It almost makes you get so mad that you wish one of the B******* would get it and then say it is delusional. Oh oh, there I go, getting upset. I won't. I'm going into my 5th day of not smoking and that makes me happy. posey

| As far I can see the study seemed flawed from the start because of how they recruited study participants. They recruited participants based on KP patient history that seemed to have Morgellons symptoms. Why did they not seek patients who had registered with the MRF site who have it. Their study was based upon patients who might have Morgellons or/and don't even have it at all, forming the pool of study participants solely on what researchers felt were indicative of having Morgellons. The old adage goes "Garbage in, Garbage out". The CDC has put their best foot into the study, but it must have been a lame one at that. |

| This is truly sad news for all of us who suffer and know its not physo my lesions appear and Iam not a scratcher. They need to spend a week with someone of us who have lesions and black specs. the cdc is run by fed money and we all know if they said anything else they would have too spend more and people who have public assistance would be flocking to docs and they pick u[p tabl sammy |

| You are vcery perceptive and nailed the flaw in their first part ofthe study. This isn't a coverup and this was very predictable. They don't know! Conventinal methods and assumptions that they would detect what is there prevented them from finding the truth. The lab was based on being clinical and at their facility rather than going to the home and enviroment of the sufferer where the lab needs to be.I realized this early on.I hate to gross anyone out but my bathroom hasn't been cleaned in 3 yrs,nor has my bedroom ,other than to change the sheets and to pick up the blood soaked tissues, paper slides with discarded specimens and my clothes. To defeat the enemy one must go to it's base and challenge it there.Historyhas long ago proven this. The only problem that I'm concerned with is that no one will ever listen to me as I don't have the proper credentials, yet there is hope as I have the correct contacts to continue to move forward.I doubt that my research is of any solace to anyone but it doesn't seem that we have anyone else that is even close to where I am with what I know.Wish me luck, SD. |
