| The Charles Holman Foundation has posted a Jan 2012 newsletter and has a call out for biopsy results for anyone who has had one done and would like to share those results anonymously : Important Announcement The CEHF is collecting biopsy pathology reports on Morgellons patients for a research project. If you have ever had a tissue biopsy, even if the biopsy was done before you developed symptoms of Morgellons, please contribute the report to the CEHF as we have a researcher interested in doing some comparison studies. It doesn't matter at all what the results of the biopsy show and the report(s) can be submitted anonymously if you prefer. Just cover the name and medical record number as well as any other identifying information. Or you can send it 'as is' and we assure that your personal information will be kept anonymous. Either way is just fine. You can submit the biopsy report using the following options: 1. Scan and Email it to: info@thecehf.org 2. Fax it to: 1-903-639-2461 3. Snail Mail to: The Charles E. Holman Foundation P.O. Box 1109 Lone Star, Texas 75668 4. Bring it with you when you join us for Morgellons Conference! Thank you for helping us win the war against Morgellons (and DOP)! |

| You all might want to read about some recent M news on the okalahoma morgellons foundation site. I have to admit I miss the MRF which did not have an agricultural college (monsanto supports a lot of research at such colleges) behind whatever M research slowly filters through to us (filters being the operative word here). There is an announcement in this newsletter that there was a new documentary about M which was made by an award winning Japanese film company, featuring three M patients, one of whom (surprise) is Cindy Holman aka Casey. Unfortunately the whole thing is done in Japanese to be aired in Japan towards the end of this month. There will only be a small US release of the program (in English) on DVD, limited to being presented at the 2012 M conference (and not widely on the internet). Very fortuitous. For those interested in attending the 2012 M conference taking place once again in Austin the preliminary details about the conference and probable speakers are outlined in the online newsletter. In addition to this news there is also some discussion about an Australian doctor who takes M seriously and, yes, has some patients who show symptoms of it. He is a derm and has recently presented his information about M to doctors at a dermatology conference which took place in Australia. There is a link to his site from the newsletter. He does see a possible connection between M and some type of spirochete infection, whether actually lyme or some other type. thecehf.org/newsletter-january-2012.html

| I hope to go but finances are always the issue unless I have this hell to return as it can do that.I hope to have my picture library ready to present to whoever will look.Is anyone else going? This sure will be interesting if no one tries to shut me up.I need good luck with that, haha. |

| The only problem with it is the diagnosis are all mainstream bull, I did have a biopsy on the side of my head and they said it was fibrous material, no way of getting that diagnosis paper that was in 1996. |

| I had a biopsy done once also. They were looking for Discoid Lupus. It was negative but I don't know if I couod get it. I can try. I don't know aht it would show though. Excuse my typos, I'm typing form a hospitalbed with the table too high. I camd in Sunday afternoon when I could no longer breath. As some may know, I did have DVT and PE but after being on Coumadin for a year the clots in my legs and lung had reabsorbed themselves. Now, little more than a month later I have 2 huge clots; 1 on each lung. I am feeling better thought ans should be going home tomorrow. Possibly with oxygen. I don't like being in the hospital cause everythign is cotton.

| Hi Pose, So sorry to hear you are having blood clots again and in the hospital. I have been taking Nattokinase with Alma for blood clots from Dr. David Williams on-line. Not sure yet if it helps or not. I am also on HGP meds, dangerous Plavix and dangerous statin drug which can cause Diabetes. I will be off the Plavix soon, i hope. In June this year, I had a heart attack caused from a blocked artery for which they put in a stent. In December this year, I had another attack and they found the stent to be blocked with scar tissue. Now I have a stent within a stent. Not fun and I totally dislike what the medications do to me. I am so chemically allergic to all chemicals matural or not, so the meds keep me sick and drained of energy. I will pray for you. In His Love, Gator |

| Meagan first introduced Dr. Fry and his study of biofilm formation to MDR. I thought that she, Gator and Posey might be interested in reading a post I found on another forum which discusses his ideas. When we get sick our blood probably forms a lot of fibrin and that can be an issue when it comes to blood clots as well as heart disease. One interesting side effect I notice from taking some infection fighting drugs lately is that my blood pressure has dropped (it has never been high enough to require medication for HBP though). Anyway just a thought that the infections we have, whatever they might be, could be a contributing factor in heart disease and HBP issues). I just copied part of the post. I provided the link to the post which has a lot of additional information, including information about how to help break down the fibrin biofilm requires to form: Lyme-Induced Autism Conference Focuses on Biofilm and Toxicity by MaryBudinger Dr. Fry suspects that inside biofilms are microorganisms that may be the causative agent of much chronic disease. He is mapping the genetic components of these microorganisms. Peeking into the secret world of biofilm and shifting through common environmental toxins may hold the keys to understanding the current epidemic of chronic disease. That was the theme at the third annual Lyme-Induced Autism (LIA) Conference held last month in Scottsdale, AZ. The event serves as a think tank for practitioners and parents on the forefront of the epidemic. Biofilm - The Hot Topic The quest to understand biofilm is changing the paradigm of blood pathology. The conventional wisdom is that blood is sterile because nothing can be cultured from it, but clearly, we have pathogens floating around in blood. "Blood is not sterile. We have to drop that idea," said Dr. Jeff Wulfman of Vermont. "Forty percent of blood samples contain cell wall deficient bacteria. What are the other factors in blood? We are only beginning to understand." Biofilm is also in the blood, as well as the gut and on the teeth. Biofilm is a self-made protective environment in which microbial populations hide from the body's immune system and anti-microbial therapies. Biofilm allows the bugs to evade surveillance of the immune system and our best attempt to throw antibiotics at them. Biofilm communities can be 1000 times more resistant to antibiotics than free-floating bacteria. Ever tried and failed to knock out candida with the anti-candida diet? Well, candida too hides in the biofilm where it helps the bad guys by stimulating inflammation. The National Institutes of Health estimates that nearly 80 percent of chronic microbial infections are due to biofilm colonies. Teasing out elements hidden in blood is what Dr. Stephen Fry and his colleagues do at Fry Labs in Scottsdale, Arizona. 'I don't think Borrelia is the main problem in Lyme disease,' Dr. Fry explained. 'We only have one picture of it in the thousands of slides that have gone through our lab. There is something else that stains like bacteria, and looks like bacteria, in people who are sick. Many of the people we see have evidence of biofilm. There is more than one pathogen in biofilm communities, but the microorganism we are mapping now may be the main concern.' Dr. Fry finds that the sicker a person is, the more there will be biofilm communities in the blood sample. 'Six years ago, I established Fry Laboratories to begin to identify the DNA of a particular pathogen we see in the biofilm. We looked at the blood from various patients under the microscope and found signs of this particular microorganism in many samples from patients ill with chronic Lyme disease. So far, we have found some unique genes that make up this microorganism; no other entity on earth is known to possess them.' Dr. Fry thinks the day is not far off when we may recognize a single microorganism which hides itself in biofilm, and is responsible for symptoms of Lyme disease, its co-infections, and many other expressions of chronic disease. 'As our work progresses, we will be able to further identify the genetic makeup of this pathogen and then develop a reliable test for it,' he said. 'It may be that we can develop a simple protocol to knock it out.' But if one bug is the cause of Lyme disease, autism, and so much other chronic disease, why do patients get so many different diagnoses and symptoms? 'In the biofilm community, there is a soup where many pathogens hide,' Dr. F ry said. 'For example, just about everybody over the age of 35 will test positive for Epstein-Barr virus, but people usually are not sick from it. Not every bug in the biofilm soup is causing symptoms. We think we've found that one is. And the symptoms may vary based upon a person's genetics, environment, and pathogen genotype.' mdjunction.com/forums/lyme-disease-support-forums/studies-research/3070516-lyme-induced-autism-conf-biofilm-toxicity
