Need Advice on not gargling

Can anyone help me with a real problem I'm having with my mom? Most of us know that stringy stuff that we choked on in the back of our throats and I personally used hydrogen peroxide and water to keep it under control, but my mom has alz, if anyone didn't know, and she can't gargle, but she does choke on this stringy stuff. Has anyone used anything to get rid of this or keep it from being so troubling besides gargling with something? I would appreciate any help for my mom. God Bless, Snow

She can suck on lemon drops or cough drops. Maybe a citrus candy of some sort. What about lemon aid. Just some suggestions. Others have mentioned eucalyptus cough drops.

Thank You for your suggestions Michelle, that's what I need. I never thought of lemonade and hadn't heard about eucalyptus. I'll have to see what that does. Has anyone used something from the pharmacy that will dry this up? Not sure what would work with this kind of thing, it's not like normal congestion. Thanks, Snow

I drink lots of lemonade, green tea with citrus and put drops of grapefruit seed in my drinks. I also spray my throat with colloidal silver and gargle salt water when it gets real bad. I also use lots of hot sauce on everything.

I have a weird left nostril drip that affects my eyes and ear too. It comes and goes, but I never had any allergies prior to this outbreak.

I hope things get better.

Ok, laugh if you want....bubble yum bubble gum, then i brush my teeth with ivory soap and rinse with distilled water. Works great!
