Default Introduction

Hi,

I am fairly new to Morgellons (although in retrospect, maybe not), as back in August, we had a nasty birdmite infestation from a birdfeeder outside our window. Started with the sensation of a hair or dust blowing across the skin, to the full crawling invasion at night. I got them in my eyes, ears and nose. Tore the house apart, covered mattresses, sprayed, sprayed and sprayed. Emptied closets and dressers, washed everything in detergent, borax and bleach or ammonia. I was never really bothered by many bites externally, but the invasive crawling at night completely undid me to the point where I had a kind of emotional breakdown. Of course, my husband has not been affected at all. Went to my PC who, of course told me that bird mites cannot live off of human hosts. Prescribed Prednisone for my itching, but I wasn't itching. Or sleeping, since I would sleep only with all the lights on. Now I know that I have Morgellons, as I have felt the crawliness on scalp, face, elsewhere, and have seen the fibers and various things fall out of my scalp. Still sleeping on a lounge chair in the kitchen with lights on. Some days are definitely worse than others. Have a new car which is infested, work place is infested, but nothing I can do about that.

Luckily, so far, I haven't suffered from the lesions/open sores much, but do get bitten occasionally, especially on the ears. The crawliness is horrible, but I can tolerate it and act and appear normal most times. In the beginning, I was so anxious and desperate that I seriously considered ending things, which really scared me since I have a family including two great kids and 5 grandchildren. I realized that this also opened up a lot of other issues, and so I began to "clean house" mentally and spiritually as well. I am seeing a counselor, I had a long talk with my priest, I am attending church regularly again, and also taking much, much better care of myself. Boosting the immune system, eating almost all veggies, more alkaline than acidic diet, no sugars, virtually no carbs, a little chicken or fish once in awhile. Supplements, acupuncture (although I'm not sure if the acupuncture will help in the longterm). Hot showers twice a day with tea tree shampoo and soap, tea tree and lavendar all over the body, on the scalp at night. ACV, lemon water, and recently colloidal silver. Garlic, MSM as well. I am, at this point, able to cope pretty well most days, but I do have some bad ones where I definitely get depressed. I have lost over 13 lbs and am told that I am too thin, but the truth is, with all of the lifestyle and dietary improvements, I know that my immune system is improving, and I feel better than before, despite the Morgellons.

I am trying to get up enough nerve to try the Borax therapy, but am told that the process drives the entities up to the skin's surface, where they basically are killed by the borax. This causes, obviously some lesions, boils/pimples, etc. But I have heard more favorable results from this than not.

We are currently in the process of redoing a bedroom as our master, since I can't bring myself to go back into our old bedroom again. I am hoping that, with the right protocols and routines, I will once again be able to sleep in a bed.

My husband still does not believe me, and tells me that it's all in my head. I am simply going on by myself, researching and treating by trial and error, and trying hard to keep a positive attitude. These types of forums and websites are a real help. Hopefully, one day, someone will take this seriously and help to find/fund a cure.

Blessings to you all!

Default Just imagine

WELCOME

Why would bugs leave men alone and bother just the woman, that does not seem normal.

The spider webs, worm webs, bugs are everywhere at any time in the day when you go out there are millions above you in the air.

I do not imagine this as a bud involvment as you can not see the bugs, most all bug forms are presented clearly unmoving.

Yes we could have parasites and most likely do have these issues as all other people in the world also have one or another. Most of these types of internal parasites are invisable.

If you want to show your husbands involvment just get a digital microscope, they are cheap, if he will not expose himself to the telling microscope you will know he is afraid of the truth.

His spit, urine and poop will also carry the fibers.

Laying down for some reason flips on the itching switch inside your body, it is not a bed full of bugs as some would imagine.

I would caution you to keep talking about bugs, itching does not mean bugs, can you see any living bugs on you?

If you can not see them and nobody else can then you are trying to prove somthing without proof.

In my assumtion there were the same amount of bugs around me my whole life, what made them jump into my body and choose nightime to attack, also what had them liking my ears so much when I layed down.

I have a funny feeing this situation is controlled by blood flow.

If you have this your husband has it, get the microscope and first trick him to be scoped, LOL

Manic cleaning time will be better spent, buying, prepairing and eating the right food and exersizing.

I do not really worry myself so much about naturaly grown stuff as it costs too much and too many people just lie about everything to trust the assumtion that the food is not GMO or NATURAL and naturally grown.

Water filters on your drinking water, salt baths, I would not go ape with borax, salt works very well, you can get your salt at Walmarts for pools.

I am pretty sure the itching is this fibrous material in our skin or the histamine reaction to it developing.

Default You may be right

You may be right, since I have observed him playing with his scalp, eyes, etc. Also, he must be bothered at night, since most mornings he gets up early and showers right away. Also, I think they are in his respiratory system some mornings, because he will cough up phlegm. He is simply in denial and is better able to convince himself that he isn't affected, or is more desensitized than I. However, no skin lesions on either of us so far, but i do have the hard bumps on teh scalp, a few minutes ago, I felt something moving around in my upper lip, and I can brush out the fibers and other particles and white specs. Also the gnat-like insects, etc.

Again my question: does everybody get the lesions? Does this always continue to develop and worsen?

Default here is one of our biggest issues

Some stuff here makes perfect sense, there is alot of it, then there is some that looks like voodoo, and does not make any sense at all.

Many people settle on what they want to imagine, others have been abducted by aliens like me, LOL

One of our major problems, the symptom list is not a list it is a medical dictionary.

This meaning we are plagued by so many different issues, the disease seems to act as AIDS.

We have many things in common but also many things that are different and some limited but certainly more intense issues.

I can not say for sure that everyone gets lesions, they may be one of these acerbated by other ongoing conditions such as HERPIES systemic infection.

This may be a pathway for the invader to follow.

I imagine their are many things that can be symbiotic with this invader, but time can only tell, time has a very big place in this disease.

Here is a suggestion, sit down with a pad of paper, think back, think about all your issues, and think about all your husbands issues, write them down.

Your situation could be 2 weeks old or it could be as old as you are mine is 39 years old.

So far many people have said they did not get lesions, my lesions appeared after getting STEROIDS to combat joint damage, it took 32 years and STEROIDS to develop the big and ugly lesions.

Here are some other things to look for on your husbands skin, tiny little red spots, ANYWHERE, moles and freckled all over the back, new skin spots, they can say they come from the sun all they want, its a wives tale, there is involvement below the skin.

Also look for tiny white specks or spots on the skin, some children's skin will be ruddy, most all children when we were young had A pimple not a head full of them.

My daughter born with attributes of this bumps of keratosis all over her that congregated on the backs of their her arms, although I know this is in her body I assume her immune system is fighting like mad to keep the issues at bay, her skin is very nice BUT as her immune system changes or wears down it will go after her own organs because by then they will be infiltrated to the max.

When this happens they call this AUTO IMMUNE DISEASE.

The doctors assume it is a wayward immune system that is attacking the organs, I say their is hidden pathogenic organisms that for some reason have been revealed to the immune system or the body is taking a last ditch effort to expel them.

I do not know the exact situation but doctors assuming the immune system would attack itself is absurd in my thinking.

These hairless apes immune systems have been working learning and training for a million years on pathogens, whats different now, man thinks he is smarter than nature as old as the eons.

Trusting corporations to do what is right when it comes to money, that is the problems we face, what the hell are we eating, is it more petroleum then food?

Was your husband or you in the military?

Annesco, I have to agree with Baraka about not sleeping in the bed. I had the same problem in the beginning and have learned since then that not sleeping in a bed is not going to stop it from happening. As a matter of fact, sleeping is very important in fighting this disease. Not getting a good night sleep will reduce the function of your immune system.

I have learned to adapt by taking Benadryl before bedtime. Not only does it knock me out but it's an antihistamine and seems to help. I also rub Ben Gay or Icy/Hot all over my arms, legs and neck/shoulders at night. This has saved my life! It stops the crawling sensations. I just read in an alternative medicine book that these products are helpful to calm the histamines that irritate the nerve endings. I have been doing it for awhile now and was surprised when I read it in a book.

Not everybody gets the lesions. I don't have them and neither do my son or husband and we all have this disease. My husband, just like yours, is in denial so I don't talk to him about it. I just smile to myself when he complains of fatigue, pain, itching, moving hairs, acne, etc... Men don't want to believe that they are not invincible. It's fine with me because if he really knew what was going on in his body then he may become sicker and not be able to work. The mind is an amazing thing. I keep things to myself and it has saved our marriage. Too many people get divorced because of this disease and that is never a good thing. In a perfect world, we want our husbands to sympathize with us and understand but in reality, it's best to keep it to yourself until something more substantial comes out about this disease. The hardest thing for me since discovering M is marital relations. It's one of those things that is a must to keep a marriage together but hard to do when one knows what is going on in our bodies and feeling like crap everyday. But, I do not want to have to deal with this on my own so I do what I have to do.

I know that I have some kind of parasites but I also believe that the itching is caused by the crap coming out of our bodies. If that is the case, then until there is a cure, there isn't much to do except all the helpful suggestions on this website such as boosting the immune system and treating the most annoying symptoms. But once again, it's very, very important to get a good night's sleep and keep the stress to a minimum.

Arrow Re

Annesco-

Welcome to the board. I'm fairly new here, too, but I have already gotten so much better by taking the advice of the people here and so has my toddler.

Here's my two cents:

We all start off the same with the itching, mass crawling, feeling that something is invading the nose, eyes, backside, ears, and for most of us, it subsides gradually. I had the crawling for about two weeks and then it stopped. I feel an occasional feeling of crawling now but it's minor and goes away. I think this is nerve endings. But anyway, why was it so different for me? I did the same thing you're doing: spraying, cleaning, throwing things away. Only I never left my bed. I sleep in a king size bed with my husband and toddler. My daughter has special needs. We have slept like this for about a year. Before that, we had a twin bed beside our king bed for our daughter. When the acute symptoms started, I sprayed everything down with products that contained Nylar, which keeps the insects from growing up. This worked for me. The crawling stopped immediately.

I noticed that I'd see a lot of these small black and white striped mosquitoes, at the beginning. I don't know if this is what was crawling, but it makes sense since the insecticide worked and I don't see them anymore. That was back in February of 2011, 8 mos ago.

I also need to mention that my husband has no symptoms, but my daughter does. I have checked my husband with a digital microscope and he's got the fibers on the top of his skin like I do and he scratches every now and then, mostly while he's sleeping. He feels no crawling, nothing.

The fibers for me are not in my skin...yet. They're always on top and they itch horribly. They're red and blue. Every single time I've itched and looked with my digital microscope, I'd see a fiber. I still itch even though my symptoms have decreased. Atarax helps with the itching. I was also given a prescription for some over the counter meds to help, as well. They're given for heartburn and allergies, believe it or not. Zantac and Allegra.

The other thing that I've got is the "lint." I think these are fungal spores. I have improved drastically by using the antifungals on my body and cleaning with them, as well. I notice that the lint has decreased now that I'm using the antifungals on my body. I don't know if the ones in my house are coming from me, but it makes sense.

I also have three other kids in the house that have no symptoms.

If you ask me, the original organism is a fungus that causes all the other things to become attracted to us. Even though I'm feeling better with the crawling, itching, biting, general "buggy" feeling, I still see signs of infection on and in my skin. The blue veins in my body have all become very visible under my skin. It's eerie. The red spider like veins that I had only a few of before this, I now have a million all over my body, including my scalp.

My little girl needs me so I'll continue this post later.

Hello annesco,

Benadryl is something which does help a lot (I do not get itchy, but it surely helps the stuffy nose I have had since becoming ill) and it only needs to be used at night before bed as Meagan posted here. My ID told me it's one of the safer drugs to use. It's true what Meagan says about sleeping in a bed. You need rest now more than ever. It also helps to sleep in a darkened room. Otherwise you will probably not get the kind of sleep which helps restore the body.

And Meagan is also correct in saying that not everyone with M gets lesions (though I have). I have been treated for reactivated herpes type infections. The lesions which were involved with that infection dried up within a short time with the use of an antiviral medication.

The other lesions I have though seem to be involved with some kind of parasitic infection though without identification one cannot be sure if or what. Actually some of us feel that stromectol (ivermectin) is a partial answer for the parasites some of us believe might be involved with our symptoms. I know that in my own case taking this wormer over time has helped diminish my symptoms. Some have also used other wormers, again with at least some improvement in symptoms. I have also used some of the herbal wormers and feel that this has helped my symptoms over time as well.

Steroids probably can make this illness worsen if used. I think that's because almost or all of us do have background lyme infections. It is known that steroid drugs will worsen lyme symptoms and many of our symptoms do resemble that disease diagnosis.

Sorry that you have this illness. I hope you will soon find some respite from your symptoms. Most of us do improve over time and do not worsen. So please take heart and do not be afraid. God is near. tcm

Default Pollyringworm for the betterment of mankind, LOL

If your husband has fibers, he has issues, the main item we do need to establish is the males inclusion.

You give me almost any family with a morgy sufferer and I will show you their issues.

They are varried but they are their, how old is your husband, in time his back will start to show NEW spots, if he is young that may not have happened, then you also may want to look on his back for many freakles, mole and red dots. These actually come over time if he has not had it long this will be limited. The red dots will come first also look on your own skin, they are tiny tiny but usually quite bright.

Thinning hair on women and men, invasion of the eyelashes by demodex mites, red spots that do not heal quickly, eye floaters, mariners disease, Tinitus. small white spots on the skin and if you look in the excrimate you will find bundles of fibers in it, as well as in the urine and spit.

I will be trying to see if the fiber load can be dissapated over time by the f-6, the results of taking F-6 can be hard as many have found. Then it seems to be working. It should come with warnings, especially for people that work, it is hard to work when you look like a leper, taking F-6 can encourage the lesions to sprout.

Default Birdmites

Ann,did an entomologist id the birdmites? I keep seeing claims of BM infestation but I think and have info that suggests otherwise. The ento that checked my samples denies the existence of BM's.Can you take a pic at 60X with a digi camera for me if you have a sample?Did you see a release of material from the nest?Do you still have the nest?

Default Bird mites

I know that we had them, as there was a buildup of seed right outside our window and one day I noticed tiny, pepper-like bugs crawling into my kitchen. I didn't think much about it, just brushed them away. This is right where my table is, and where I sit to eat, and also to work when I work from home. No, we removed the feeder and the seed, and sprayed and dusted with Sevin.

That being said, I do believe that I've had this condition, or a definite precursor for a long time, measuring by what Barack says. Lots of moles, skin damage, little white dots, unexplained bruising, skin tabs, fatigue, etc. etc. the mite infestation just brought everything to a head, I guess.

The similarities between what people report as ongoing bird mite infestations and Morgellons are remarkable. So much so, that I think that the mites vector the Morgellons.
