This is some thing I am experimenting with right now. You know we can't give up on searching for help with our symptoms. This is a cactus plant from out in Arizona. You can buy It in some grocery stores ( Latin and especially Mexican) and juice it. Of course you can buy it already made, but I think some of these companies have rather questionable marketing schemes. It is an anti inflammatory. Be right back...

| Prickly Pear Health Benefits | LIVESTRONG.COM Cactus Juice Benefits | LIVESTRONG.COM There are many you tube videos on how to make the juice. It is much cheaper if you make it your self. I have been drinking the juice for one week now, one thing I can attest to...I feel full all day, I guess it is all the fiber. I am hoping that this has some effect on my skin, and the stiffness I get in my feet and ankles. it may be a shot in the dark, but a lot of naturalist attribute great health benefits to this juice. So I will give it a month, and I will let you know. Last edited by Janice; September 12th, 2011 at 10:39 PM. |

That's great your doing the acai juice, we should compare the two juices over the next couple of weeks. Glad you are getting some results the first week. I have read about acai and it seams to be another super fruit. I have been on the prickly pear cactus juice a week as well, and I feel cleaner internally and a little lighter. That is about it for now. Thanks, Janice ![]()

I would say an improvement in mental health... definitely! It settled out my gut. As far as my skin...no difference. I would not drink it every day after the first week. All and all a very nice healthy drink with lots of fiber. I saw the prickly pear fruit at publix grocery store at .79 cents per pear.

I have been reading more about fiber which the prickly pear has a ton of. Number one you have to drink a lot of water when you use this! You can start out slowly as well, and let your digestive track get used to all this fiber. If you drink too much too fast, you could end up bloated with gas. Maybe start out with a little twice a week. I think you will like the way it makes you feel! Your gonna be a more up optimistic person. Every thing in moderation.
